Paper Pumpkin Pinwheels

When my June Paper Pumpkin kit arrived at the office of my apartment building, Denise gave me a call to let me know I had a package waiting for me to pick up.  She was curious about what it was so I opened it up right in her office to show her the contents of the box.  She loved it!  The pinwheels were so much fun to make.  I made up two of these projects and gave one to Denise and one to Kathy, who also works here.  The red wrapped candies are butter cream mints.

This is just one example of what comes in a My Paper Pumpkin kit each month.  It's everything you need to make the projects for the month.  For more details, visit My Paper Pumpkin HERE.  You won't want to miss out on next month's project.

With Sympathy

With the storms that rolled through earlier, I decided it was probably a good idea to shut down the computer.  We had some very wicked lightning strikes and our power usually goes out.  It didn't so I used the time offline to work on my card for the Freshly Made Sketches.  I decided to do a bit of paper piecing.

The image from Bloom with Hope was stamped on Whisper White card stock using Mossy Meadow ink.  Then, I stamped the image onto a piece of paper from the All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack.  I fussy cut around the blossoms and attached them over the image stamped on the white card stock.  It's an easy way to give a different look to your design.

Stamp Set:  Bloom with Hope; Inks:  Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow; Card Stock:  Blackberry Bliss, All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools:  Scallop Oval Punch, 2013-2015 In Color Sequin Assortment, Pearl Basic Jewels, Mini Glue Dots, Dimensionals
All Stampin' Up!® product, unless otherwise noted.

You can find the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches HERE.

Beautiful Birthday

Card stock, ribbon and stamp make for a very nice card.  I love the clean crisp lines of this one.  In going through one of my storage totes I came across some retired card stock that I didn't know I had so using it for my Card Buffet makes sense.  Tomorrow I'll show you one other card made for the Card Buffet then, I'll have something different to share with you.

Stamp Set:  Beautiful Birthday - retired (Stampin' Up!); Ink:  Pool Party (Stampin' Up!); Card Stock:  Whisper White, Not Quite Navy - retired (Stampin' Up!); Accessories & Tools:  Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, 1/8" Pool Party Ribbon - retired (Stampin' Up!), Dimensionals

Stars and Stripes USA

The sketch over at The Paper Players Challenge was a perfect design for my patriotic card.  It also gave me a chance to show off the new Decorative Masks from Stampin' Up!®  July 4th is just around the corner and it is my all time favorite summer holiday.  I've always enjoyed the parade, the funnel cake in the park and of course, the fireworks.  I'm thankful for the men and women who fought for this country and helped gain its independence.  I am proud to be an American!

Stamp Set:  Stars & Stripes (Taylored Expressions); Inks:  Real Red, Night of Navy; Card Stock:  Naturals White, Real Red, Night of Navy; Accessories & Tools:  Stripes Decorative Mask, Stars Decorative Mask, Stars & Stripes Die (Taylored Expressions), Whisper White Baker's Twine, Dimensionals
All Stampin' Up!® product, unless otherwise noted.

Melon Mambo Thanks So Much

Okay, here is the final card for this round of cards for the Card Buffet.  This is another CASE but I don't know who was the original designer.  I do thank her for the inspiration.  It's a very cute design and I have a feeling I'll be using it again.

Stamp Set:  Simply Sketched - retired; Ink:  Melon Mambo; Card Stock:  Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Splendid Sunshine by Echo Park, Accessories & Tools:  Petite Petals Punch, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Dimensionals

Flower Shop with Work of Art

The other day I was making some new cards for my Card Buffet.  I liked the look of it so much that I decided to make a few more using mostly the 2014-2016 In Colors.  I am loving those colors.  I CASEd this design but the person did not put a watermark on her photo, so I can't mention her name but I do thank her for the inspiration.

Stamp Sets:  Flower Shop, Work of Art, Simply Sketched - retired (Stampin' Up!); Inks:  Blackberry Bliss, Pistachio Pudding, Tangelo Twist, Lost Lagoon (Stampin' Up!); Card Stock:  Whisper White, Pistachio Pudding, Tangelo Twist, Lost Lagoon, Silver Glimmer Paper (Stampin' Up!); Accessories & Tools:  1/2" Circle Punch, Pansy Punch (Stampin' Up!), Dimensionals

Crisp Cantaloupe Flowers

The other day, while making up some new cards for my Card Buffet, my friend, Heather, came over to spend some time crafting with me.  She made a beautiful card for a recent ColourQ Challenge using Stampin' Up! colors and the Flower Shop stamp set.  You can see her card HERE.  It's really beautiful.

Once she was done she asked if she could help me get cards ready so this is one that she stamped.  Clean and simple and I love the combination of Wisteria Wonder and Crisp Cantaloupe.

Stamp Sets:  Bloom with Hope, Simply Sketched - retired (Stampin' Up!); Inks:  Crisp Cantaloupe, Smoky Slate (Stampin' Up!); Card Stock:  Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White (Stampin' Up!); Accessories & Tools:  Large Pearl Basic Jewels - retired (Stampin' Up!)

Happy Birthday Flowers

Today's card is a remake of one that I made quite some time ago.  I thought it would be a good addition to the Card Buffet as it is such an easy but pretty card to make.  I used the flourish from Everything Eleanor and added flowers punched from the retired 2012-2014 In Colors using the new Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack flower.  It is the cutest little flower!  The sentiment is from the new Bloom with Hope Hostess Stamp Set.  So, old design, new version.

Stamp Sets:  Bloom with Hope, Everything Eleanor (Stampin' Up!); Inks:  Gumball Green - retired, Midnight Muse - retired (Stampin' Up!), Card Stock:  Whisper White, Midnight Muse - retired, Primrose Petals - retired, Raspberry Ripple - retired, Summer Starfruit - retired (Stampin' Up!); Accessories & Tools:  Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack Flower, Scalloped Oval Punch, Oval Punch, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Mini Glue Dots (Stampin' Up!), Dimensionals

A Birthday Card for Dustin

In all the birthday cards I made recently to send to family and friends, only one of them was for a guy.  This one is for my grandson, Dustin, who turns 14 next month.  Being a teenager means the cutesie cards are a thing of the past for this guy.  I thought the locomotive from the Traveler stamp set made for a great card.  I love how Lost Lagoon and Basic Gray compliment each other.

Stamp Set:  Traveler, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Inks:  Lost Lagoon, Basic Gray; Card Stock:  Lost Lagoon, Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools:  Gold Sequin Trim, Ticket Corner Punch, Dimensionals

You can find the sketch I used HERE at CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge.

It's a New Watercooler Challenge

The challenge this week is to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) a project from the new 2014-2015 Annual Catalog.  The project I chose to CASE can be found on page 158 of the Annual Catalog.  It's the one on the upper left.  As you can see, I changed things up a bit.  CASE-ing doesn't necessarily mean you have to make an exact duplicate of the design.

One of the new 2014-2016 In Colors that I really like is Tangelo Twist.  Honestly?  That really surprised me as I really don't like orange but there is something about this one that just reached out and grabbed me.  I also wondered how it would look paired with Blackberry Bliss, another of the new colors.  Now I know.  I must say that I like the two together.  Wonders never cease!

Stamp Sets:  Petite Petals, Work of Art (Stampin' Up!); Inks:  Tangelo Twist, VersaMark (Stampin' Up!); Card Stock:  Blackberry Bliss, Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack, Tangelo Twist, Whisper White (Stampin' Up!); Accessories & Tools:  Bird Builder Punch, Petite Petals Punch, White Embossing Powder, Whisper White Baker's Twine, Mini Glue Dots (Stampin' Up!)

The Whisper White Baker's Twine really look blah when I put it on the card.  Before I attached it to the card, I sponged some Tangelo Twist over it and gave it a new look.  It was just the right touch of color to keep the little bow from blending in to the point of invisible.

You can find all the details and play along with the Watercooler Challenges HERE.

Freshly Made Sketches Meets ColourQ

It's a perfect match, too!  I really like how it came together and I got a bit carried away with the sparkly.  I would have added more Rhinestone Basic Jewels but figured that would be a bit of overkill.  I know, the rhinestones don't sparkle in the photo but the real thing certainly does.

Stamp Sets:  Bloom with Hope, Petite Petals (Stampin' Up!); Inks:  Calypso Coral, Pacific Point, Coastal Cabana, Summer Starfruit - retired (Stampin' Up!); Card Stock:  Calypso Coral, pacific Point, coastal Cabana, Summer Starfruit, Whisper White (Stampin' Up!); Accessories & Tools:  Petite Petals Punch, Rhinestone Basic Jewels (Stampin' Up!), Dimensionals

The color challenge is from ColourQ.  You can find it HERE.

Sunday Christmas Card Challenge #29

Hello, everyone.  I hope you all have had a grand week.  It's Sunday and time for another Christmas Card Challenge.  Are you ready for this one?  The option is to use three or more patterned papers on your card.  Wow!  I was not coming up with a good design but then, remembered the great sketch from The Friday Mashup.  I created a card for their challenge and knew the sketch would be perfect for a Christmas card.

Stamp Sets:  Four Frames, Joyous Celebration - retired (Stampin' Up!); Inks:  Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green - retired (Stampin' Up!); Card Stock:  Mossy Meadow, Whisper White (Stampin' Up!) Vintage Christmas Paper Pad (My Mind's Eye), Silver & Gold Collection (Bo Bunny); Accessories & Tools:  Decorative Label Punch, 3/8" Mossy Meadow Satin Ribbon, Pearl Basic Jewels (Stampin' Up!)

You can find the Sunday Christmas Card Challenge HERE.   The only real rule is to create a holiday or Christmas card.  The use of three or more patterned paper is optional.

With Sympathy

When I started working on this card, I had no idea what it was going to look like.  I wasn't sure the color scheme would work for a sympathy card but, I really do like the way it turned out.  The red, white and blue made for a very nice combination.

Stamp Set:  Bloom with Hope, Gorgeous Grunge (Stampin' Up!); Inks:  Real Red, Night of Navy (Stampin' Up!); Card Stock:  Real Red, Night of Navy, Whisper White (Stampin' Up!); Accessories & Tools:  Pansy Punch, Petite Petals Punch, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack Flower, 1/8" Mini Brads (Stampin' Up!), Dimensionals

The colors I used came from The Paper Players Color Challenge #199.  You can find it HERE.

The Squares Have It

Today I'm mashing it up with The Friday Mashup.  The challenge is to make a project using the sketch provided or an assortment of different patterned paper or both to mash it up.  As always, I've mashed it up!  It gave me a chance to use some of the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack.  I'm loving all of those new In Colors.

Stamp Set:  Bloom with Hope (Stampin' Up! Hostess); Ink:  Blackberry Bliss (Stampin' Up!); Card Stock:  Sahara Sand, Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White, Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack (Stampin' Up!); Accessories & Tools:  Postage Stamp Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Coastal Cabana Thick Baker's Twine, Rhinestone Basic Jewels (Stampin' Up!)

Happy Father's Day

With a sigh of relief, I now have all of my Father's Day cards done and ready to get in the mail.  I wasn't sure it was going to happen.  For some reason I thought Father's Day was another week away and I had plenty of time.  Oops!  It's a good thing I checked my calendar this morning.  Today's card was made using the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge and the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge.

Sunday Christmas Card Challenge #28

Hello and Happy Sunday every one!  It's time for another Sunday Christmas Card Challenge.  This week it's an optional color challenge.  But, there is only one real rule to play along with us and that is to make a holiday or Christmas card.  Since I love blue, the color challenge was a fun one for me.  In my book, you can never go wrong with blue!  :-)  It doesn't show up well in the photo, but the doily is all sparkly from the shimmer mist.  It kind of glistens like a snowflake.

Stamp Sets:  Joyous Celebrations - retired, Christmas Lodge - retired (Stampin' Up!); Inks:  Night of Navy, Smoky Slate (Stampin' Up!); Card Stock:  Night of Navy, Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper - retired (Stampin' Up!); Accessories & Tools:  Extra Large Oval Punch, Rhinestone Basic Jewels (Stampin' Up!), Paper Doily, Radiant Rain Shimmer Mist (Splash of Color)

Thinking of You

What a busy week it has been!  Next week is shaping up to be even more so.  I'm keeping my post short since I'm writing it during the commercial breaks of a movie.  To let you in on a little secret, I'm a Star Trek fan.  Tonight's movie is Star Trek:  Nemesis, made in 2002.  So, here is the card I made for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.  I love new Blackberry Bliss In Color from Stampin' Up!®  It is gorgeous.

Stamp Set:  Teeny Tiny Wishes (Stampin' Up!); Ink:  Blackberry Bliss (Stampin' Up!); Card Stock:  Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack, Whisper White (Stampin' Up!); Accessories & Tools:  Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Whisper White Baker's Twine, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Rich Razzleberry Button, Simply Scored Scoring Tool

Sparkly Bright Birthday

Today's birthday card is for my other daughter-in-law, Michelle.  Her birthday isn't until July but I just couldn't wait to share it with you.  You're probably wondering why I would show them before I even send them, right?  Well, the girls don't follow my blog.  Since I won't put them on Facebook or Pinterest until after they receive them, I should be good.

This is another of those projects I had started but didn't get to finish due to the move.  It was in the same tote as the frame from Saturday.  :-)  I don't remember the name of the patterned paper used or the name of the die.  The die cut was made when I spent a day crafting with my friend, Heather.  The only thing I do know is that it's from My Favorite Things.

Card Stock:  Whisper White, Bermuda Bay (Stampin' Up!); Accessories & Tools:  Rhinestones Basic Jewels (Stampin' Up!)

As you can see, I got happy with the sparkly rhinestones!  I love it!  You just can't have too much sparkly!
