The Wacky Watercooler Spring Fever Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to a new Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop.  With so many of us experiencing massive snowfalls, ice and just plain all around bad weather, it seemed appropriate to have share a wee bit of Spring Fever with all of you.  I know I'm ready to see some warm temperatures that stay around for more than an hour or two.

My first project is a CASE (Copy And Share Everything) of a design from Jackie Susnik.  I fell in love with the simplicity of the design and loved how she brought it all together.  I didn't have the same stamp or patterned paper she used so I used the 2013-2015 In Colors, which I will be sorry to see retired at the end of May, and the Butterfly Basics stamp set from the 2015 Occasions Catalog.  For the flower, I used Pistachio Pudding and Coastal Cabana.

Stamp Sets:  Butterfly Basics, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Inks:  Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Pistachio Pudding, StazOn Black; Card Stock:  Coastal Cabana, Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools:  Blender Pen, Pearl Basic Jewels, SNAIL Adhesive

Here is Jackie's design.

For my next project, I CASEd the design found on page 18 of the 2015 Occasions Catalog.  I've had the Painted Petals stamp set for a while now and have not taken the time to use it.  I must say that I really do like it.  Now that I've initiated it, I know I'll be using it more in future projects.

Stamp Set:  Painted Petals; Inks:  Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Sahara Sand, Tuxedo Black Memento; Card Stock:  Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools:  SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Trimmer

My final project is a very simple little basket.  I'm planning to make one for each of my grandchildren for May Day.  I just might make them for my big kids, too!  They like to get treats just like the younger ones.  This is a project that we made at the January meeting of my local demo group.  We get together every other month to swap, learn a new project or technique and talk a little business.  It's an enjoyable time and a way to spend time with other crafty individuals.  Of course, theirs will have some candy in them.  I didn't have any on hand so I used some pretty silk flowers to fill my basket.

Stamp Set:  Petal Potpourri; Inks:  Bermuda Bay, Tangerine Tango; Card Stock:  Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White;  Accessories & Tools:  Envelope Punch Board, Flower Medallion Punch, 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch, Pearl Basic Jewels, Sticky Strip, Glue Dots

  4. Marsha I really liked your choice of colours and stamp for your CASE of Jackie's card. Great choices! I also really liked your case of the catalogue card, it's very pretty in the Rich Razzleberry and Sahara Sand mix. The basket is a great group project and a wonderful way to use the envelope punch. So cute! TFS.

  5. Wonderful CASE Miss Marsha. A lovely and simple Easter card that expresses the season beautifully. Your lovely Painted Petals creation is twisting my arm and convincing me I need that wonderful set of images to play with. Sigh...you really have to stop being such an enabler. LOL The basket really pops with color and spring flowers too. The kids old and young are going to really love May Day this year with a lovely basket in hand. Thanks for sharing the inspiration. Hugs and love - J.

  6. Hi Marsha, what beautiful projects---but then I knew they would be. I love your CASE of Jackie's Easter card. You've stayed true to her card and yet made it singularly your own. The colours are wonderful as is the stamp set you chose to use. I love the images in the Butterfly Basics set. Of course I had to check out the page from which you CASEd the next card and have to say I like yours better. You've spaced your images beautifully and that gives your card such a clean appearance. The finished card looks so much as if you've watercoloured it. That stamp set is definitely a keeper.

What a fun basket you've created for the members of your family. I can imagine the squeals of delight that will occur when they see all the sweets inside. For myself, I love those silk flowers. They finish off the basket beautifully. Thanks so much for being part of the Blog Hop.

  7. I always love your projects, Marsha.
The basket is adorable and the cards are both beautiful. I have so much trouble leaving white space on my cards. I need to take a page out of your book. TFS
