Tea Time

Would you be surprised if I told you that I am a huge Downton Abbey fan?  It's true.  I'm hooked!  I love everything about it, right down to having the whole series on DVD.  I was so sad that the series ended but on a rainy day, it's not unusual to find me having a Downton Abbey marathon along with a nice cup of hot tea.

When I discovered that there was a whole set of stamps and dies and papers and embellishments...well, I think you get the idea.  I knew I just had to have a few of them.  In the future, you'll see other projects made with more of my Downton Abbey stash.

The tea kettle is from the Time for Tea stamp set.  I embossed it using the new Copper Embossing Powder then, fussy cut it and popped it up with dimensionals.  Since I'm entering this in the Retro Rubber Challenge, the stamp has to be at least a year old.  It  says 2015 on the package, so I'm hoping it fits the requirements as that was all the information I could find.  If not, I still had fun playing with the stamp set and sharing my project with you.

Stamp Sets:  Time for Tea (Crafter's Companion), Timeless Textures (Stampin' Up!); Inks:  Night of Navy, VersaMark; Cardstock:  Night of Navy, Whisper, Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper; Other:  Copper Embossing Powder, Pearl Basic Jewels

The sketch I used for my card is from the Retro Rubber Challenge.  For all the challenge details, click the image below.

  3. Hello Marsha:I love the fabulous copper embossing on this fabulous kettle and, if you wouldn't have mention that you fussy cut the image I would have thought it was cut with a die, just perfect. I love the vintage look of your design and that beautiful blue pattern paper looks like tile, perfect background for your tea kettle.
Thank you for playing joining the fun at Retro Rubber, hope you play along again soon.
    Hugs,
    Maria Rodriguez.

    1. Thanks, Katy! I've been doing a marathon of the Downton Abbey series since I made this card. In between chores and stamping, I've been taking a few minutes break to watch a wee bit. :)
