It's it winter, yet? I know! I know! You don't want to think about winter but when the temperatures are in the nineties with a tropical humidity here in Iowa, you can understand why I'm ready for some cool weather. Right now our temperature is 86 degrees F but it feels like 93 degrees F. To top it off, I had to go to the grocery store. That heat and humidity just saps the strength right out of you. It's a good thing I made my card before I left.
Stamp Set: Colorful Seasons (Stampin' Up!); Inks: Pink Pirouette (Stampin' Up!), Strawberry Milkshake (Taylored Expressions); Cardstock: Pistachio Pudding, Whisper White (both Stampin' Up!); Patterned Paper: Nana's Nursery Baby Girl (DCWV); Other: Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies, Rhinestone Basic Jewels (both Stampin' Up!)

Thinking of You Roses
It's going to be a very short post here tonight. It's fast approaching my bedtime but I just had to make a card before the day was done. The Wild Rose is Iowa's state flower and the Wild Roses stamp set from Flourishes is one of my favorites. While the wild roses here are usually pink, to follow along with the color challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches, these are Peekaboo Peach. Really, they are. And, Oops!, I snuck in just a wee bit of Mint Macaron for the leaves as the Dapper Denim just would have been wrong.
Stamp Sets: Wetlands - sentiment (Stampin' Up!), Wild Roses (Flourishes); Inks: Dapper Denim, Mint Macaron, Peekaboo Peach (all Stampin' Up!); Cardstock: Dapper Denim, Whisper White (both Stampin' Up!); Other: Copper Embossing Powder
The colors I used are from the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge. They were great colors to use and worked well together. I colored the roses with a Peekaboo Peach Stampin' Write Marker but the color was much darker than what I get when I stamp using the ink pad. And, I heat embossed the roses using Copper Embossing Powder but that never photographs well for me. The card in real like has a pretty shimmer to it from the copper.
So glad you stopped by the Coffee Pot Stamping Cafe,
Marsha

Wisteria Thinking of You
With all of my sons, and their families, now living out of state, I tend to make more thinking of you cards with birthdays running a close second. I always leave them blank so I can write a short note to whomever the card is intended. Here's the latest one for my stash. I love the sketch and the soft colors.
Stamp Sets: Sheltering Tree - sentiment (Stampin' Up!), Simply Stamped-Butterflies (Taylored Expressions); Ink: Wisteria Wonder; Cardstock: Whisper White; Patterned Paper: 6"x6" Paper Pad by 5th Avenue; Other: Simply Stamped Butterflies Dies (Taylored Expressions), Sequins, White Blizzard Glitter Drops (Nuvo)
The sketch I used is from the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge. I loved the simplicity of this sketch. It had so many possibilities but I decided to stay with the original orientation.
The colors I used are from the Retro Rubber Challenge. For me, the soft, muted colors were the draw and they reflected well in the patterned paper I used. I love that sentiment from the Sheltering Tree stamp set by Stampin' Up! It was in the 2015 Occasions Catalog and is now in the current Annual Catalog.
Thanks for stopping in at the Coffee Pot Stamping Cafe,
