Do you ever leave things until the last minute? That's not necessarily a good thing when you have to
design and make a
card and it's being picked up the next day. Two weeks ago Ron, my Schwan's delivery man, asked me to design a card for his daughter's
birthday.
So, fast forward to last evening, which just happens to be Thursday, and I haven't even started on the card. Between delivering an order, having dinner with my number two son and his family, grocery shopping and a nice long chat with Jean, my late night phone buddy, you can just see the time slipping away.
The nice thing about late night phone buddies, is that it's a good way to brainstorm ideas. Jean happens to be a very talented
Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator so we were on the phone until 2 a.m. chatting while I'm working on the card. In between the talk about stamps and ink and catalogs and
clearance rack items, I ran ideas by her for the card and she made suggestions of things that could work. It was fun and I actually managed to make two cards.
Here is the first card I designed and the one that Ron chose. The dragonfly was really fun and I want to thank Kathryn Ricks for graciously stamping and sending me the images all the way from Utah!
