Raspberry Ripple Flower

It seems so odd not having my little man around every day.  He is now going to daycare with his mom and I am working out of the home.  I haven't heard how he is doing but I'm sure he is doing well.  I do miss the little guy.

For today's card, I paired Raspberry Ripple with a page from the Basic Gray/True Love paper pad.  The design is from a sketch challenge that is on a demonstrator forum that I will soon no longer be able to access.  I like the way the two papers complimented each other.

I haven't added a sentiment, yet, but I think it's going to turn into a birthday card.  I have several coming in the next couple of months and want to be ready to send them out in time.

Delightful Dozen Mother's Day

Today I was thinking of my mother and how much I miss her so thought it would be a good time to design a Mother's Day card.  I've been finding all kinds of goodies I forgot I had since I started an early spring cleaning.  One of those is this beautiful blue ribbon that is so shimmery.

Stamp Set:  Delightful Dozen; Ink:  Pool Party; Card Stock:  Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Basic Gray/Lucille; Accessories & Tools:  Extra Large Oval Punch, Sycamore Street Pool Party Ribbon, Two-Tone Blue Ribbon, Pearl Basic Jewels, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

Soft, pretty and a great way to remember Mom on Mother's Day.

Oh Happy Day

Today's card was made using a baby wipe and re-inkers to stamp the butterflies and the leaves and the bird.  It didn't take any time at all to put this one together together and it allowed me to use up some more of my scrap pieces of card stock.

Stamp:  Bloomin' Marvelous; Inks:  Midnight Muse, Cherry Cobbler, Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo, Night of Navy, Pool Party, Marina Mist; Card Stock:  Naturals White, Primrose Petals, Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack; Accessories & Tools:  Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Mini Brad/Silver, Stampin' Dimensionals.

I'm really enjoying the Bloomin' Marvelous stamp set from Sale-A-Bration.

Bloomin' Marvelous

As promised the other day, here is one of the cards I designed using the Sale-A-Bration stamp set Bloomin' Marvelous.  When you spend $50, you can select this stamp set free from now until March 22nd.  It's a very versatile set.  Tomorrow I'll show you another design using another of the great stamps in this set.

Stamp:  Bloomin' Marvelous; Inks:  Night of Navy, VersaMark; Card Stock:  Night of Navy, Whisper White, Pretty in Pink; Accessories & Tools:  Scallop Edge Border Punch, 3/16" Corner Rounder Punch (retired), Embossing Buddy, Stampin' Emboss Powder/Iridescent Ice, Heat Tool, Anywhere Glue Stick

Although you can't see it well in the photo, the bottom corners have all been rounded off.

Happy Birthday, Wayne

My oldest son's birthday is today.  In my hurry to get his card made and in the mail on Monday, I forgot to take a picture of it.  DUH!  Just another 'senile' moment for my boys to tease me about.  Of course, that is if I tell them.  They never read my blog so they have no idea what I tell you about them.  So, in lieu the card, I made a scrapbook page using My Digital Studio.

The card I sent him was made using the retired Motorcycle Stamp.  My friend and llama sister, Buffy, sent hers to me and I stamped a bunch of images so I'd have them for future use.  Thanks, Buffy, you're the best!

When my three boys get together, you just never know what will happen or how they will act.  Wayne was back for a visit and this was the first time he had seen the motorcycle that his youngest brother, Mike, was building for him.  When it's finished, I'll take some close up photos so you can see the detail.  It's really unique!

Color Me Beautiful Challenge #4

With having such a full schedule, I've added another post for today just so I don't forget to show you the card I made for the current Color Me Beautiful Challenge.  Be sure you go to their blog and check out everyone's beautiful projects.  Just click here.

For this challenge we needed to use the colors of More Mustard, Basic Gray, Perfect Plum and Cajun Craze.  Once again, I tried to use all the colors.  Here is the card I made for this challenge.

Stamp Set(s): Language of Friendship; Ink(s):  Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Pad, Cajun Craze Classic Stampin' Pad; Card Stock:  Perfect Plum, More Mustard, Basic Gray, Cajun Craze; Accessories & Tools:  Bird Builder Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, Fancy Flower Punch (cut down to make label), Pearl Basic Jewels, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine

My camera is not taking the best of pictures these days.  It makes it hard to see the colors and how I used them.  On the Basic Gray, I stamped with Cajun Craze ink and on the Cajun Craze, I stamped using Basic Gray ink.

Tomorrow I really will share those refrigerator magnets with you that I've been making.  Talk about cute!

Color Me Beautiful Color Challenge #1

A new challenge blog, Color Me Beautiful!, started up last Friday so I thought I'd check it out and see if it would be something I might find interesting.  Oh yeah!  It's going to be a fun one and I'm definitely going to try to follow it weekly.  And, they picked some of my favorite colors for the very first challenge.

I wanted to try to use all five of the colors.  It was a challenge to figure out just how much of what color to use and where to use it.  Here is the card I designed using all of the colors.  The photo does not do justice to the card.  Lately my photos have not be all that good.  I'm blaming the camera and going to ask for a new one for Christmas.

Stamp Set(s):  Everything Eleanor, You Are Loved; Ink(s):  Perfect Plum, VersaMark; Card Stock:  Basic Gray, Lucky Limeade, Perfect Plum, Rich Razzleberry, Wisteria Wonder; Accessories & Tools:  3/8" Ruffled Ribbon/Wisteria Wonder, Dazzling Details/Silver Sparkle, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Stampin' Emboss Powder/Clear, Crystal Effects, Mini Glue Dots, Little Leaves Sizzlits, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine

To see the inspiration for their color choices, click the following, Color Me Beautiful!  It will take you right to the blog and you, too, may want to accept their challenges.

Yesterday was unexpectedly child-free, so not only did I get my challenge card made, I finished my swap cards and had a chance to spend some time with my upline, Andrea.  I always enjoy time with her.

Hearts and Flowers

Recently, I decided it was time to use up as much of my 'scraps' of card stock as I can.  You can get two card bases from one sheet of 8-1/2" x 11" paper.  So, I have all of these 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" card bases that really need to be used to make room for more.  Is there method to my madness?  I'll have to let you know if, or when, I get all of it used up.

Today's card is one of my 'scrap' cards.  I combined Wisteria Wonder, Cherry Cobbler and the You Are Loved stamp set and I really like the two together.  I have a friend who loves purple and it will be a perfect way to let her know I am thinking of her.

Stamp Set(s): You Are Loved, Love Blossoms Wheel; Ink(s): Cherry Cobbler; Card Stock: Wisteria Wonder, Naturals White; Accessories & Tools: Flower Garden Embossing Folder, 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch, Hearts Collection Framelets, Pearl Basic Jewels, Stampin' Dimensionals

Now it's time to get my chores done.  I have a couple of ideas percolating in my head and I want to give them a try this afternoon while my little man is napping.  Aiden loves to sit on my lap and 'help' me make cards.  He is talking at me all the time while sitting on my lap.  Of course, I can't always understand his two year old version of speech but he keeps right on talking nonetheless.  We do have some interesting conversations.

Delightful Dozen Birthday

This is the card I made for a sketch challenge offered by Susan Roberts.  It's the first time I've played along with one of her challenges.  The winner of her challenge will receive a new Hoop La La Stamp set that is in the new Stampin' Up!® Annual Catalog.  I love to do counted cross stitch and have had my eye on this stamp since I first saw it.

Stamp Set(s):  Delightful Dozen; Ink(s):  Island Indigo; Card Stock:  Bravo Burgundy, River Rock, Baja Breeze, Twitterpated Designer Series Paper, Naturals White; Accessories & Tools:  Rhinestone Basic Jewels, 5/8" Whisper White Organza Ribbon, 1/8" Mini Brads, Stampin' Dimensionals

It was a fun challenge and come August 1st, we'll know the winner.

It's Another Journal

This is the other journal I designed to place in my display at the Crafters' Gift Boutique.  Tomorrow I'll show you the card I made for our Make & Take at the Open House.  And, yes, it is all current product.

Stamp Set:  Define Your Life (retired); Ink:  Soft Suede; Card Stock:  Soft Suede, Marina Mist, Spice Cake Designer Series Paper (retired); Accessories & Tools:  Decorative Label Punch, Butterfly Punch (retired), 5-Petal Punch (retired), Scallop Ribbon Border Punch (retired), Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Mini Brads

While my two year old grandson is sacked out on the floor, (he always falls asleep during a movie), I'm going to finish my coffee and relax before my other three grandsons get here.  It's going to be a busy morning.

Gift Card Holder Birthday Card

So, we are back to the llama swap cards and today I'm sharing the one I made.  I'm always looking for different ways to give gift cards.  This a layer that is cut 5-1/4" x 4" and will fit on a card that is 5-1/2" x 4-1/4".  This card was really fun to make.  The candles are made using the all new In Colors.  I haven't mounted it yet but you could use any one of the candle colors.

Stamp Set:  Teeny Tiny Wishes; Inks:  Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie; Card Stock:  Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse, Primrose Petals, Daffodil Delight; Accessories & Tools:  Adorning Accents Folders, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine

I've been getting more swap cards from my llama sisters and will be sharing those with you over the next several day.s

Everyday Enchantment Butterfly

As promised, here is a new card rather than another scrapbook page.  This is the one of the cards we made in the All Occasions Class I held last Saturday.  It is a CASE but I don't remember the original designer's name.  I loved the simplicity of the card.  It was a great way to use up the scraps of the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper left over from other projects.  I try not to waste a single scrap!

Stamp Set:  You Are Loved; Ink:  Night of Navy; Card Stock:  Pool Party, Not Quite Navy, Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper; Accessories & Tools:  Butterfly Punch, Postage Stamp Punch, 1" Square Punch, 1/8" Lucky Limeade Organdy Ribbon, Mini Glue Dots

On the card, the squares on the left actually do line up but in the cropping it looks like I cut just a wee bit too much off.

Tomorrow I'll share a set of 3x3 cards I made with the Blossom Punch.  That punch is turning out to be one of my favorites.

Remember, there are only five more days to get that Sale-A-Bration order in.  The Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper is one of the products in the Sale-A-Bration Catalog.

Elementary Elegance Happy Birthday

This card was made using My Digital Studio.  All I need to do now is make it out of stamps and card stock and it makes a perfect addition to the All Occasions Card Class this Saturday.

Stamp Set:  Elementary Elegance (SAB); Ink:  Rich Razzleberry; Card Stock:  Sweet Details Designer Series Paper, Wisteria Wonder, Almost Amethyst, Pale Plum; Accessories & Tools:  Everyday Enchantment Brads (SAB), Perfect Plum 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Daisy Punch

Several of the items I used are retired out of the Annual Catalog but the great thing is, you can still find them in My Digital Studio.  I like that.  It gives me a chance to use colors I like that weren't available after I became a Demonstrator.

For the class, I'm thinking I'll add some rhinestones to the butterfly to sparkle it up.  Since some of the colors I used are retired, I'll be picking different colors for most of the card.  Okay, I'm off to make this card.  I'll be sure to post it here when I'm done so you can see the difference.

Don't forget that Sale-A-Bration ends March 31st.  Some of the products I used are only available during Sale-A-Bration.  Oh, and you can get the One Big Sale-A-Bration CD in digital format free when you place a $50 order.  It includes all the new, exclusive Sale-A-Bration products!.  To order yours today, click on the coffee pot on the upper left.

And, as always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Until we meet again...

Scallop Circle Birthday

This birthday card was designed as a guy card but it would work well for a gal card, too.  It's another that will be made in the All Occasion Card Class coming up Saturday, March 24th.  I have one more project to design and I'm thinking it will be something that can be given as a gift.  I found a cute pattern for a basket that would be perfect for a May Basket.  But more about that later.

Stamp Set:  Pretty Postage; Ink:  Basic Gray Classic; Card Stock:  Whisper White, basic Gray, Real Red, Twitterpated Designer Series Paper; Accessories & Tools:  Fancy Flower Punch, 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

Don't forget to reserve your spot in the class.  E-mail me and let me know you are attending.

Until we meet again...

Triple Treat Flower Birthday

Here is another card we will be making on March 24th for the All Occasion Card Class being held at the Crafters' Gift Boutique.  It was designed by my friend Linda and I thought it would be perfect for this class.

Stamp Set:  Triple Treat Flower; Elementary Elegance; Ink:  Night Of Navy; Card Stock:  Night Of Navy, Pretty In Pink, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools:  Scallop Trim Corner Punch, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Fancy Flower Punch, 5 Petal Flower Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

The inside of the card is layered with Whisper White with a border of Pretty In Pink punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch.  Simple but very elegant.

If you'd like to attend this class, please e-mail me to register as space is limited to ten (10).

Here is another graduation card that can be made when you drop in during the Come & Go Card Buffet.  For more details, click the Stamping Cafe Events tab at the top of this page.

I think this makes a great card for the guys.  I'll show you the one I've made for the girls at a later time.  For now I'm back to concentrating on Easter and Mother's Day.  Those days are fast approaching.

Got questions?  Leave a comment and I'll answer them as soon as possible.

Heard From The Heart Kindness

Since becoming a Stampin' Up!® demonstrator, I've met a lot of friends through our Stampin' Connection demonstrator only site.  One of those has become a frequent phone pal and we have some very good conversations.  Jean is full of ideas and information and I love visiting with her when we both have the time.  She recently blessed me with some product that I did not have in my supplies.  It was a wonderful and thoughtful thing for her to do.

Today's design is one dedicated to Jean and features all the goodies she sent me.  I love how the new Paper Doily Large Sizzlits Die cutout looks on this card.  My only contributions to the card are the card base and ink color.  I used Crumb Cake Card Stock for the base because I know that is Jean's favorite.

Stamp Set:  Heard From The Heart; Ink:  Rich Razzleberry; Card Stock:  Crumb Cake, Rich Razzleberry, Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper; Accessories & Tools:  Everyday Enchantment 1/8" Calypso Coral Organdy Ribbon, Everyday Enchantment 3/8" Calypso Coral Brad, Paper Doily Large Sizzlits Die

Thank you, Jean, for your generosity and for letting me bend your ear on those long phone calls.  I am blessed to call you friend.

You too can become a part of this great online community.  Sign up and join my team today!

Until we meet again...

Send A Friend A Card Day

Although it's not an official holiday, it is on the calendar.  What better way to remember a friend than by sending them a handmade card full of love.

Last week my llama group finished up another swap and all of the cards I've received so far have been great!  I'm sharing my card here today since it fits right in with the theme of today's post.  It's a clean and simple design but I really like the colors in this one.  The Twitterpated Designer Series Paper is fast becoming some of my favorite paper to use.

Stamp Set:  My Friend; Ink:  Night of Navy; Card Stock:  Calypso Coral, Twitterpated Designer Series Paper; Accessories & Tools:  Blossom Punch, Mini Brads, Adorning Accents Edgelits Die

I'm thinking I'm also going to use this one for my Make and Take for my Customer Appreciation Tea that's in the works.

Until we meet again...

Hangin' With My Gnomies

Yesterday was my granddaughter, Charissa's, birthday.  I sent her a card but didn't take a picture of it before putting it in the envelope and mailing it.  Once she gets it, Wayne, my oldest son and her stepfather, is supposed to take a picture of it so I can show you the card I made her.

In the meantime,  I've got a card that was just plain fun to make.  Our Gnome Sweet Gnome Stamp Set is really growing on me and the possibilities are limitless.  Along with the Gnomenclature Stamp Set, you have the perfect pair.

Stamp Sets:  Gnome Sweet Gnome, Gnomenclature; Inks:  Early Espresso, Pool Party Stampin' Write Marker, Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write Marker, Island Indigo Stampin' Write Marker, StazOn Forest Green, StazOn Timber Brown; Card Stock: Early Espresso, Pool Party, Naturals White; Accessories & Tools:  Linen Thread, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Jewels Basic Rhinestones (colored with permanent marker)

Although you can't see it in the photo, the Linen Thread extends beyond the top of the card about two inches.  I guess I thought it looked more like hanging with the extension.  I'm not exactly sure why.

Until we meet again...
