Graphic 45 Best Wishes

Tonight I have my July Graphic 45 Card Class and I'm just now sharing with you the last card from the May group with you.  Because I have a little visitor today, I'll keep this post short and show you that card.  I'm completely taken by the Graphic 45 A Place in Time collection.

There you have the last May card.  I think for June, I'll just showcase the whole set so I can move on to the new ones I'll be making tonight.  With it being so hot and humid, there are only two things that will get me out of my nice cool house and that is work or a card class.

Until next time... happy creating!

Rain, Rain Go Away!

Don't get me wrong!  I love the rain.  The only thing I don't like is when it's day after day without a hint of sunshine!  Well, at least the temperatures are getting warmer.  Now don't you think rain and blue just seem to go together?

Tomorrow night I'm attending a new class so be sure to tune in on Wednesday to see what what I've been up to.  I can't wait to share with you.

You Are Loved Valentine

With a class looming on the horizon, I've been busy trying different designs, trying to decide what ones I'll use.  Since I don't want to use retired product for this new class,  I've been re-purposing some supplies cut for earlier classes that didn't get used.  This card was originally a birthday card but I thought it would make a great Valentine card.  I'm not a big fan of pink but combined with Night of Navy, it makes for a very pretty card.

Stamps:  You Are Loved, My Little Valentine; Ink:  Night of Navy; Card Stock:  Night of Navy, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools:  Scallop Trim Corner Punch, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Full Heart Punch, Pearl Basic Jewels, Stampin' Dimensionals

The inside of the card has the Whisper White layer to allow you to write a message.  It also has been stamped with the Be My Valentine sentiment from the You Are Loved Stamp Set.  At the bottom of the white layer is a border of Pretty in Pink that was punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch.

For more details about the Valentine Projects Class, click the Stamping Cafe Events tab at the top of the page.  There are a few spots still open so be sure to reserve yours' today.

Framed Happiness

Over the holidays, I've had a lot of time to spend crafting.  I've not had to watch my youngest grandson very much so that allowed me time to get some new items made.  I love the black, white and gray tones but the photo does not do it justice at all.  I'm thinking I need to take another one and see if I can do a better job of it.  Of course, I always blame it on the camera.

And, now I'm off to work on the projects for my January 24th Valentine class.  I have changed my mind on what we will be making so I need to get busy and make sure I have everything in order for it.

Stamp Set:  Heard from the Heart (retired); Ink:  StazOn/Black;  Paper:  Royal Metallics Wausau paper for the solid layers and flowers, Wallpaper for the background and top layer of the flowers; Accessories & Tools:  Blossom Punch, 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch, Mini Brads/Silver

It's a new year!  I hope everyone had a great holiday season.  Now it's time to get back to the normal flow of days.  I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to it.  I'm glad those few weeks of busyness only come once a year.

Over the weekend I began work on the card designs and mini tote boxes we'll be making in the Valentine Projects Class at the end of the month.  Below you will find one of the cards we will make.  For more details about the class, click the Stamping Cafe Events tab at the top of the page.

Stamp:  My Little Valentine; Ink:  Midnight Muse; Card Stock:  Very Vanilla, Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper; Accessories & Tools:  Decorative Label Punch, Small Heart Punch, Textured Impressions Embossing Folder/Cloudy Day, 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon/Pool Party, Mini Glue Dots, SNAIL Adhesive

Not Enough Hours in the Day!

Busy season is gearing up for me and while I have created some new projects, I've not had time to take photos.  I have a class tonight and a two day vendor show this weekend so my focus has been on those.  Wednesday I'll share the cards we made for our Birthday Extravaganza Class.  In the meantime, enjoy some more of God's art.

Fall is my favorite time of the year.  I love the color changes and that special smell of fall.

In a Cleaning Frenzy

I took the advice someone left on this car window and have turned today into a 'clean me' kind of day.  My craft area is getting reorganized and my bedroom turned back into a bedroom.  If I don't do it now, it won't get done what with all I have coming up over the next few months.  Card swaps, vendor shows, classes and more.  I love being busy.

Now it's back to my cleaning frenzy.  I am determined to have it done by dinner time so I can spend the evening finishing up some projects and starting on some new ones.

Scallop Circle Birthday

This birthday card was designed as a guy card but it would work well for a gal card, too.  It's another that will be made in the All Occasion Card Class coming up Saturday, March 24th.  I have one more project to design and I'm thinking it will be something that can be given as a gift.  I found a cute pattern for a basket that would be perfect for a May Basket.  But more about that later.

Stamp Set:  Pretty Postage; Ink:  Basic Gray Classic; Card Stock:  Whisper White, basic Gray, Real Red, Twitterpated Designer Series Paper; Accessories & Tools:  Fancy Flower Punch, 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

Don't forget to reserve your spot in the class.  E-mail me and let me know you are attending.

Until we meet again...

The inside of the card is layered with Whisper White with a border of Pretty In Pink punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch.  Simple but very elegant.

Island Indigo Graduation

Spring is nearly upon us and so is graduation.  How many graduation cards do you need to make this year?  It's one of those events that just seems to creep up on us.  I know it does for me.  So, here is one of the cards I made last spring.  The neat thing about this card is the colored stripes on each side are actually embossed Sticky Strip.  I read about it during one of my browsing episodes and thought it would be fun to try.  Now that I've remembered it, I'm going to try it with some of the other colors of emboss powder.

Stamp Sets:  Delicate Doilies, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Ink:  Island Indigo; Card Stock:  Island Indigo, Pool Party, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools:  Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder, VersaMark, Sticky Tape, Melon Mambo Stampin' Emboss Powder, Jewels Basic Rhinestones, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Lace Ribbon Border Punch, Heat Tool

Come April, I'll be offering a Graduation Card Class.  Be sure to check back often for developing details.  The day and time will be posted to the Events page.

Until we meet again...

Elegant Eggplant Sympathy

This turned out to be my favorite card of the ten made for the class.  It's simple, it's elegant.  The River Rock and the Elegant Eggplant really look nice together.  Over the next several days, I'll continue to share with you all the cards we will make when the class is scheduled.

Stamp Sets:  God's Blessings, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Ink:  Perfect Plum; Card Stock:  Elegant Eggplant, River Rock, Perfect Plum, Twitterpated Designer Series Paper - Blushing Bride; Accessories & Tools:  Blossom Punch, Snowflake Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch, Curly Label Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

In the upper left of the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the God's Blessings Stamp Set.  The Perfect Plum Ink looks good on the River Rock Card Stock.

Leave a comment and let me know what you think.  Also, if you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me.

Until we meet again...

Just For You Valentine

And, here we have our final card made in class.  Because of the time limit, I had the cutouts done ahead of time but they did all of the punching.  I took the dies along to show them how each image was made.  Each guest left with my schedule and know that they are welcome at the Stamping Cafe to use the product for themselves.  I'm looking forward to having them stop by and using some of the product I wasn't able to take with me.

Stamp Set:  Teeny Tiny Wishes; Ink:  Wisteria Wonder; Card Stock:  Wisteria Wonder, Very Vanilla, Lucky Limeade, Cherry Cobbler, Pink Pirouette; Accessories & Tools:  Little Leaves Sizzlets Die, Hearts Collection Framelits Dies, Jewels Basic Pearl, Big Shot

Some made it a Valentine card, some made it a birthday card and some made it a Mother's Day card.  I think this was my favorite one of all of them.  The inspiration came from a design I saw while browsing and knew the class would appreciate it, too.  I don't remember where I saw it but I do thank the person who inspired it.

Until we meet again...

Delightful Dozen Be My Valentine

Although it is hard to see in the picture, this is a white on white card.  I know, it looks more like Very Vanilla, but I assure you it is white!  The class' versions were a bit different.  I had a great, creative bunch and they actually did their own placement of the hearts and sentiments.  The one thing I forgot to do was take pictures of some of their designs.  They did such a good job of it.

Stamp Set:  Delightful Dozen, My Friend; Inks:  River Rock, Riding Hood Red; Card Stock:  Whisper White, Riding Hood Red, Neutrals Collection Designer Series Paper; Accessories & Tools:  Full Heart Punch, Heart To Heart Punch, Jewels Basic Rhinestone

Card number four was easy, fun and quick to put together.  I love the Riding Hood Red and River Rock colors combined.

Until we meet again...

Island Indigo Elegant Thank You

For this card, I prepared two cards for each of the new In Colors and they had their choice of colors.  The cards were absolutely gorgeous and not all were Valentine themed as they wanted to use other sentiments.  I thought that was great!

The color I chose was Island Indigo.  During the class I did mix it up and used a different sentiment on the card I made to demonstrate what they were to do.  I'll show those in coming days.

Stamp Set:  Elegant Thank You; Ink:  Island Indigo; Card Stock:  Island Indigo, Whisper White, Twitterpated Designer Series Paper; Accessories & Tools:  Labels Collection Framelits Die, 2011-2013 In Color Designer Printed Brads, Linen Thread, Big Shot, SNAIL Adhesive, Crop-A-Dile

When I showed them the Crop-A-Dile, it got a few 'oohs' and 'aahs' and big eyes.  You have to admit, it is rather a funny looking tool.

There you have the third card we made.  What was fun was seeing them use the other side of the Designer Series Paper.  It made for some very striking designs.

Until we meet again...

Candy Conversations

Our Valentine Card Class was so much fun!  Laughter and beautiful cards; what a great combination!

Since our time was limited to two hours, I kept the designs more towards the clean and simple kind.  There were five designs and they made two of each design for a total of ten cards.

As we progressed through the cards, I added a few more steps and some embellishments.  Here is the second card we made.  For this one I had them stamp and punch their own blossom.  They thought that was great!

Stamp Sets:  Candy Conversations, Mixed Bunch; Ink:  Riding Hood Red; Card Stock:  Riding Hood Red, Very Vanilla, Neutrals Collection Designer Series Paper; Accessories & Tools:  Blossom Punch, Jewels Basic Rhinestone

A simple and clean sweet valentine.

Until we meet again...

Lovely As A Tree

Over the next few days I'll be sharing with you the cards I made for a class being held at the Crafters Gift Boutique, a craft store that features work of local crafters and it's where I have a display.  It is scheduled to be a Valentine Card Class but I decided to show a birthday card just to show them that with a change of sentiment, you can fit a card to your need.

Lovely As A Tree is a great stamp set to use for a birthday.  It can be either masculine or feminine.  The one I made is more of the former.  To make it more feminine, you could add a bow made with ribbon and change the sentiment to a more frilly one.

Stamp Sets:  Lovely As A Tree, Delightful Dozen; Inks:  River Rock, Old Olive, Night of Navy; Card Stock:  Naturals White

This is the first card in a set of five.  It is a very easy card  and all there is to it is stamping.  I wanted to start out clean and simple to show them that you don't need a lot of product to make great cards.

Until we meet again...
