Sunday Christmas Card Challenge #1

Can you believe it's time for a new year of Christmas card making here at Sunday Christmas Card Challenges?  Today marks the first challenge of that new year and it's a color challenge.  I decided to stay pretty true to the color choices but it just had to have a little glitz to it and that is were that Silver Ribbon and Brushed Silver card stock come in.  It doesn't show up well in the photo but the card does have a  pretty shimmer to it.

Stamp Set:  Beauty of the Season, Christmas Lodge (retired); Inks:  Basic Gray, Garden Green; Card Stock:  Basic Black, Brushed Silver, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools:  1/8" Silver Ribbon, Dimensionals

Join us HERE for the Sunday Christmas Card Challenges color challenge.  We would love to see what you create!

Island Indigo Graduation

Spring is nearly upon us and so is graduation.  How many graduation cards do you need to make this year?  It's one of those events that just seems to creep up on us.  I know it does for me.  So, here is one of the cards I made last spring.  The neat thing about this card is the colored stripes on each side are actually embossed Sticky Strip.  I read about it during one of my browsing episodes and thought it would be fun to try.  Now that I've remembered it, I'm going to try it with some of the other colors of emboss powder.

Stamp Sets:  Delicate Doilies, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Ink:  Island Indigo; Card Stock:  Island Indigo, Pool Party, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools:  Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder, VersaMark, Sticky Tape, Melon Mambo Stampin' Emboss Powder, Jewels Basic Rhinestones, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Lace Ribbon Border Punch, Heat Tool

Come April, I'll be offering a Graduation Card Class.  Be sure to check back often for developing details.  The day and time will be posted to the Events page.

Until we meet again...

Is It Spring, Yet?

Okay, so things didn't go as planned and I won't be sharing new creations with you today.  What I am sharing is a photograph I took in the spring of 2010 as I was making a run through Culver's drive through for lunch.  The bushes were so full of blooms that you could barely see the wall behind them.  So, enjoy this little bit of spring from the past and I'll be back later.

Until we meet again...
