Watercooler Challenge #31

Our Watercooler Challenges has a great sketch from Heidi for your creative inspiration.  For me, the lazy, hazy days of Summer are slowly coming to an end as school starts this week and thoughts are drifting ahead to Autumn.  I used the For All Things Stamp Set and the wonderful colors from the Fab Friday Challenge to make this card that celebrates Fall.

Stamp Set:  For All Things; Inks:  Delightful Dijon, Old Olive, Tip Top Taupe; Card Stock:  Blackberry Bliss, Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack, Tangelo Twist, Whisper White Whisper White Thick; Accessories & Tools:  Banner Punch, In Color Accessory Pack - Tangelo Twist Baker's Twine (retired), Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Trimmer

You can find all the challenge details at Watercooler Challenges.

CAS(E) this Sketch! 103 Colored by Fab Friday 56

Oh my, how I do love combining challenges!  I loved the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch! and the colors from Fab Friday.  It's a clean and simple birthday card that will be perfect for one of my grandsons.  I have three of them whose birthdays are one right after the other, three days in a row in January.

When I was stamping the image from the Holiday Home stamp set in Coastal Cabana, I noticed I had pressed too hard on the ink pad and the edge of the block left a line of ink on my card when I stamped it.  Rather than start over, I simply added more ink to the block edge and added some more lines.  Now how is that for incorporating a "mistake" into your stamping?  I'm one of those stampers who believes there is no mistake in stamping, just opportunities to stretch your imagination.

Did you notice that I flipped the sketch?  No, that wasn't a mistake.  I just decided to be a wee bit different.   :-)

Stamp Sets:  Four You, Gorgeous Grunge, Holiday Home; Inks:  Cherry Cobbler, Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake, Old Olive; Card Stock:  Bermuda Bay, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White; Other:  Dimensionals

FabFri55 and CMCC49

It's going to be a fast and furious post for you today but I wanted to share this card with your before I start getting ready for the Stampin' Up!® Catalog Kickoff Event tonight.  I combined two challenges today.  The sketch from Fab Friday and the colors from Colour Me...!

Also, I'm sharing the earrings I made to wear tonight.  They are made using the All Is Calm Snowflake Embellishments found in the Holiday Catalog.  I colored some Rhinestone Basic Jewels and colored them red.  My outfit is black and red so they will be perfect!

Okay, time to show you the card and earrings.  I've got to run or I'm not going to be ready and I do so hate being late!  I'm always the one who is a half an hour early.  :-)

Stamp Set:  Christmas Bliss; Ink:  Smoky Slate; Card Stock:  Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, Basic Black, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools:  Snow Flurry Bigz Die (retired), Silver Button from a Paper Pumpkin Kit, Black & White Baker's Twine, Frosted Sequins, Glue Dots, Dimensionals

Fab Friday 54 and Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 244

Well, here I am again playing with leftovers to see what I can come up with.  It still amazes me that I start a project, have an idea in the middle of it and go off on a totally different track.  No wonder I have all of these extra bits and pieces.

For this card I combined the colors from Fab Friday Challenge Blog and the sketch from the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.  When I first got the Hardwood background stamp, I stamped a bunch of them using different card stock and inks.  I was looking for a certain look for a different project and it only took me five different tries to get it right.  :-)  Today's card uses the one I stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink onto Very Vanilla card stock.

Stamp Sets:  Four You, Hardwood; Ink:  Blackberry Bliss; Card Stock:  Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla, Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack; Accessories & Tools:  Top Note Bigz Die, Circle Collection Framelits Dies, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, SNAIL Adhesive, Dimensionals, Stampin' Trimmer, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine

You can find the Fab Friday color challenge HERE.
