HI, Marsha here and it's my turn to host this week's Watercooler Wednesday Challenges. Today I have a sketch challenge for you. As you can see I didn't want to make a square card. You don't have to make one either. All you need to do is make sure you have all the elements of the sketch in your design.
It seems I'm really stuck on using up those 2014-2016 In Colors but I must say I do love them and will miss them when they are gone.
For the card base I used half of my last sheet of Mossy Meadow cardstock. To that I added a layer of Blackberry Bliss which is the last large piece of that cardstock I have. For the strip on the left, I used more of the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper. For the flowers I used Blackberry Bliss and Lost Lagoon. They were punched using the 1-3/4" Scallop Punch then, I snipped down to about 1/4" away from the centers. The centers of the flowers are made using the retired Brights Collection Designer Buttons. These are Daffodil Delight. On top of the buttons I added Pearl Basic Jewels. I attached the flowers with Dimensionals.
It doesn't show up well in the photo but the frame around the sentiment has stitching all around it. Stampin' Up! doesn't have stitched frames dies so I used one I have from Taylored Expressions. I used the center that was left after cutting the frame out for stamping the sentiment from the Trust God stamp set. It's stamped on Whisper White using Mossy Meadow ink. I attached the frame with really thin strips of Dimensionals. Then, I laid the stamped rectangle inside. A few Pearl Basic Jewels scattered around finished up the card.
I'm also joining in the "anything goes" challenge over at {PIN}spirational Challenges. For all the challenge details, click on their name.
