Watercooler Wednesday Challenge #111 - Marsha's Masculine "Anything Goes" Challenge
You know, just because it's a masculine card doesn't mean you have to use blacks and browns and blues and trees and cars and other seemingly appropriate manly colors or images.
For Jean's Masculine "Anything Goes" challenge, this card has color and cute little critters to let someone know you love them. Now, I ask, just how cute are those hedgehogs?
Stamp Sets: In the Meadow, Jar of Love, Kinda Eclectic, Love You Lots; Inks: Basic Black Archival, Early Espresso, Real Red, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi; Cardstock; Shimmery White, Soft Suede, Whisper White Thick; Other: Fancy Frost Sequins

Watercooler Wednesday Challenges #110
This week our Clean And Simple (CAS) challenge is hosted by Heather and she has picked the theme of "Easter Bunny." How cute is that! I love bunnies. With Easter fast approaching, it's a good time to be thinking ahead. So, take a look at the inspiration photo then, get creating and share with us what you created.
Stamp Set: Crazy about You; Inks: Pacific Point, So Saffron, Smoky Slate, Tuxedo Black Memento; Stampin' Write Marker: Pink Pirouette; Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point, Whisper White, Whisper White Thick; Other: Hippity Hop Dies (Taylored Expressions), Pocket Die (Taylored Expressions), Frame in Frame 2 Cutting Plate (Taylored Expressions), Pearl Basic Jewels, Whisper White Baker's Twine

Watercooler Wednesday Challenges #109
It's a color challenge this week at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges and our host, Heidi, has chosen a great combination of colors.
My card base is Basic Black as is the layer that I added images stamped in Whisper White Craft ink from the Timeless Textures stamp set. I stamped the sentiment from the Butterfly Basics stamp set onto Whisper White using Basic Black Archival ink, then punched it out using the Decorative Label Punch. The Pool Party butterflies were cut using the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die. I've not used that in a while and had forgotten just how nice those butterflies look. The Island Indigo butterflies were punched using the Bitty Butterfly Punch and the Elegant Butterfly Punch.
Before attaching the label and all the butterflies, I added a piece of 1/4" Island Indigo Ribbon to the bottom of the stamped layer. I randomly glued the butterflies in place and added Pearl Basic Jewels to the center of each butterfly. The label was popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals.
One thing I should share with you is that I used Whisper White instead of the Very Vanilla as stated on the graphic. When looking at the graphic, I saw white and used white. I didn't do a very good job of reading the colors, did I?

Watercooler Wednesday Challenges #108
It's Wednesday and that means a new challenge at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge. This week Gail is hosting a sketch challenge and she has picked a good one.
To start, I stamped spatter images from the Avant Garden stamp set onto a Whisper White card base using Strawberry Milkshake ink. Then, I added a piece of Rainbow Brights Patterned Paper to the card base. Using the Postage Stamp Stacklets Dies, I cut a layer from Whisper White and stamped the word birthday from the Wish Big Stamp & Die Combo at the bottom. On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped the word happy from the Wish Big Stamp & Die Combo using Strawberry Milkshake ink then, cut it out. The postage stamp layer and the word happy were popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals. The Strawberry Milkshake ink, Rainbow Brights Patterned Paper, Postage Stamp Stacklets Dies and the Wish Big Stamp & Die Combo are all from Taylored Expressions. All other product is from Stampin' Up!®

Watercooler Wednesday Challenges #107
This week Penny is hosting our Masculine "Anything Goes" Challenge at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges. For my card, I decided to do little stamping and more die-cutting. I'm a huge Downton Abbey fan and used some of my Crafter's Companion product for this design.
The card base is Naturals White to which I added a layer of Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack. First I cut a strip of Tip Top Taupe. I ran it through the Big Shot using the Brick Wall Embossing Folder and attached it to the card front. The silhouette is cut from Basic Black using the Downton Abbey Die. Then, I ran it through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. I placed it right on top of the Tip Top Taupe wall.
The car is from the Downton Abbey Collection. It's stamped using Basic Black Archival ink. I did fussy cut it out and popped it up with Stampin' Dimensionals. What you cannot see well in the photo, is that I covered it with Clear Wink of Stella to give it a shimmer. That stuff is hard to photograph. The sentiment is from the Sprinkles of Life stamp set and stamped in Basic Black Archival ink. A few silver sequins and it was all done.
Most of the Stampin' Up!® is retired but I still love to go back and play with some of my favorites.

Watercooler Wednesday Challenge #106
What can I say, I love sparkle! Heidi is hosting the challenge this week. When I saw she had picked sparkle as the theme for her Clean And Simple (CAS) challenge, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.
The base is Whisper White to which I added a layer of Crumb Cake. The flower is cut from glitter felt using the Tattered Florals Dies from Tim Holtz. To the center I added a burnished silver brad. It's a bit hard to see but the word sparkle is cut from Silver Glimmer Paper using a Taylored Expressions Die.
And that, as the they say, is that! A very simple card that took no time at all to put together. And, you may have noticed that there is no stamping on the card.
It's one destined for my note card shelf as I like to keep cards on hand to send to my grandchildren. My oldest granddaughter is to be the recipient of this one, eventually.

Watercooler Wednesday Challenges #105
My card starts with a Very Vanilla card base to which I added a strip of patterned paper from the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack. The flowers and leaves were cut using the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies. For my colors, I chose Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach and Rich Razzleberry for the flowers. For the leaves, I chose Mint Macaron and Mossy Meadow. On the Mint Macaron leaves, I stamped an image from the Botanical Blooms stamp set. To the center of each flower I added a Metal Rimmed Pearl. The sentiment is from the Rose Wonder stamp set and is stamped in Basic Black Archival ink.

Watercooler Wednesday Challenges #104
This week at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges, Kath is hosting a sketch challenge and she's chosen a very nice one. It gave me a great opportunity to use those Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies along with the new Beautiful You stamp set. Her dress was watercolored using the new Watercolor Pencils. The color I used is Calypso Coral. It's a pastel version of Calypso Coral due to the water coloring. I'm going to love having those watercolor pencils.
Stamp Sets: Beautiful You, High Tide, Rose Wonder (sentiment); Inks: Basic Black Archival, Calypso Coral, Peekaboo Peach; Cardstock: Emerald Envy, Whisper White Thick; Patterned Paper: 2016-18 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack; Other: Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies, Watercolor Pencils (Calypso Coral), Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Watercooler Wednesday Challenge #102
It won't be long and Valentine's Day will be upon us. With eleven grandchildren, I need to get busy. Even the big kids love to get cards from Grandma. This is the first of those eleven.
It's a Clean and Simple challenge this week. Libby is hosting and has given us the theme of Love using red on white. I think it makes for a pretty card even though I'm usually one who does more nontraditional colors. I really like the way this one turned out.
Stamp Set: Heart Balloons (My Favorite Things); Ink: Red; Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White, Whisper White Think; Other: Heart Balloons Dies, Staggered Heart Border Dies, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Watercooler Wednesday Challenge #100 - It's a Celebration
It's good to be back home after a wonderful Christmas week spent at my oldest son's out in Reno, Nevada. All three of my boys were together and that always makes this mother's heart happy! While away, I wasn't able to create and share so it's time to get 2017 off to a great start.
This week the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge is celebrating our 100th challenge and all of the Watercooler Artists are super excited about that. We're also excited that Bronwyn Eastley is back as a Guest Designer to help us celebrate.
And, the winner of this week's challenge will choose one of Bronwyn's great tutorials as a special thank you for participating in our challenge.
Stamp Set: Timeless Textures; Ink: Smoky Slate; Cardstock: Basic Black, Night of Navy, Whisper White; Patterned Paper: Vellum Paper Set (Fiskars); Other: Bold Butterfly Framelits Dies, Butterflies Thinlits Dies, Celebrate Dies (Taylored Expressions), Clear Wink of Stella Brush, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Watercooler Wednesday Challenge #99
It's our last Watercooler Wednesday Challenge of the year and it's my turn to host. I'm hosting a Clean And Simple challenge this week but be sure you use those hearts. I was ready to leave the Christmas cards behind and start on my Valentine's Day cards. Here is the first of those I need to make.
We have made a change to our line up and are now featuring a CAS (Clean And Simple) challenge each month. The rules for our Clean And Simple are very simple. Create an uncluttered design with lots of open space and minimal layers and minimal embellishments. It gives us a bit more leeway in creating those clean and simple designs.

Watercooler Wednesday Challenges #97
It's sketch week at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges and Penny has given us a great one with which to work. I decided that I really should finish up the few Christmas cards I still need. The list is getting shorter all the time. Yay, me!

Watercooler Wednesday Challenges #96
It's the fifth Wednesday of the month and here at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges that means a surprise challenge. Gail is hosting and her surprise challenge for us is to make a special fold project. I came across this cute "Box" Card by Chiaki Haverstick and just had to make it for my Design Team project. It's cute. It's easy. It's quick to make. If you'd like her instructions, you can find them HERE.
One of the things I don't often buy is ribbon. I find I never get it used up before it's retired so I keep a stock of the 5/8" Whisper White Organza Ribbon on hand. What I do, when I decide to add a ribbon, is color the organza to match my project. I usually just use a blender tool but you can also use a brayer if you are so inclined. I colored the ribbon in Sweet Sugarplum to match my project.
My youngest granddaughter turns 13 on Christmas Day. It's a milestone birthday so I'm going to design a pair of earrings and matching bracelet for her birthday gift. I think this will make the perfect package for them.

Watercooler Wednesday Challenges #95
The Watercooler Wednesday Challenges is all about the guys this week. Libby is our host this week and I must say that I really like being able to do an "anything goes" for our masculine challenge. I recently purchased the Wetlands stamp set and have been wanting to make this card ever since I saw it. It's a CASE (Copy And Share Everything) of one done by Amanda Bates.
Stamp Set: Wetlands; Ink: Early Espresso; Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White; Patterned Paper: Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack

Watercooler Wednesday Challenges #94
We have a Simply Stamping challenge up for this week at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges. Heidi has challenged us to feature coffee or tea in our projects. The minute I saw it, I knew exactly what I was going to do. I'm a big Downton Abbey fan and the Time For Tea stamp set is from the Downton Abbey Collection. The teapot and teacup were perfect for this challenge.

Watercooler Wednesday Challenges #93
It's time for a color challenge and Deborah has chosen some good ones for the Watercooler Wednesday Challenges. In October I attended a local event and took a shaker card class. Although I've made a couple of shaker cards, it wasn't until I took this class and found I rather like creating them. The new Foam Adhesive Strips introduced in the current Annual Catalog make it easy to create shaker cards. The form strips are just the right width.
Stamp Set: Wondrous Wreath; Ink: Soft Suede; Cardstock: Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White; Patterned Paper: Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack; Other: Frame 2 Frame Cutting Plate (Taylored Expressions), Window Sheet, Sequins, Foam Adhesive Strips

Welcome to the next edition of the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge. Jean has a nice sketch challenge for us this week and I chose to flip it on it's side. It was a challenge for me given I was not at home and didn't have access to all of my craft supplies. I was away from home so my son and his wife could take their first real vacation in 17 years. They spent their week in Jamaica and I spent my week watching their three children. The son and daughter-in-law had a great time and I'm very glad I was able to help them do so.
Stamp Sets: Sunshine Sayings, Wetlands; Inks: Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Soft Suede; Cardstock: Delightful Dijon, Peekaboo Peach, Sahara Sand, Soft Suede, Tip Top Taupe; Other: Clear Wink of Stella Brush
