WWC265 - Marsha's Challenge: Anything Goes With a Feminine Twist
Hello everyone! How are you all faring? Me, I'm doing well but would really like to leave the house. Due to my age and a couple of health concerns, I have been keeping myself away from all except those who live in the house with me. I'm so thankful I have all of these wonderful craft supplies to keep me busy. Stay cautious and stay safe!
The card I'm sharing to day is the one I designed for our February stamp club as it was my turn to do the projects. We made our own patterned paper using the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set from Stampin' Up! It's a simple floral design but it reminds me that Spring is here. Even in these difficult times, beauty can be found all around us as the buds and blossoms of Spring begin to show themselves.
Be sure to check out all the wonderful inspiration from the Watercooler Artists. Then, take the challenge and share your creation with us. You can find all of our challenge details by clicking the image below. You have until Monday, April 6th at 4:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time to link up your project.

Cheerful Thank You
With Christmas just over a month away, I know I'm going to need lots of thank you cards. Here is one I made using one of the panels from the Boxed In Basics set from Taylored Expressions. I used Copic Markers to color it, then added the panel to a card base of Pacific Point cardstock from Stampin' Up! For the finishing touch, I added some Cherry Pop Enamel Dots, also from Taylored Expressions.

WWC231 - Tristan's "All About Occasions" Challenge
Hello and welcome to the next installment of the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge. This week Tristan is hosting our "All About Occasions" challenge. We'd love to have you join us and share your creation.
Remember the Everything is Rosy paper from last week? Today's card is made using one of the sheets of patterned paper and one of the dies that matches the flower. The three flowers were cut from the pretty paper with the rose gold foil. The leaves behind the flowers were cut from the Rosy Copper foil paper included in the kit. It is so pretty. And, see those sets three little dots? One of the items in the kit was a bottle of Rose Gold All Purpose Ink. You shake it up and can use it to stamp or add details to your design like I did for this one. I dipped the tip of my stylus in the ink and made the little design with the ink. Just the right touch to finish off the design.

Seasonal Scene Building with Altenew
Today I'm sharing a card I made as my assignment for the Altenew Educator Certification Program. The assignment was for the Seasonal Scene Building class.
Since my move west and my camera dying shortly after, I've not had an area where I can take good photos. I've been researching cameras and light tents but haven't settled on anything. Bear with me as I continue to search for a solution that will fit my limited space.
So, the products I used for today's card are the Build-A-Flower: Cattleya Lily and the Birds of a Feather stamps and dies from Altenew. The inks are the sets Golden Sunset, Lapis Lazuli and Green Valley.
I die cut two layers from the Leaf Frame Cover Die; one from Blackberry Bliss and one from Crumb Cake. I layered them together but first flipped one of the die cuts to be able to see both colors. I placed them on a layer of Whisper White that was embossed with the Subtles Embossing Folder from Stampin' Up! I know, it's not showing up well in the photo. Before adding the flowers and the bird, I attached that embossed layer to a card base of Blackberry Bliss. For the finishing touch, I added some iridescent bubbles.

Altenew Educator Certification Program - Clean & Simple Boutique Cards
Clean and simple cards have always been a favorite of mine so, of course, I really enjoyed the Clean & Simple Boutique Cards class which is a required class for certification with Altenew. Their class are very informative and I've learned a lot from those I have taken.
The stamp set I used is the Build-A-Flower: Cattleya and it is gorgeous. The only thing I did was stamp the flower to the Sugar Cube layer and when done, attached it to the card base. And, that was all there was to it. My son and his wife have been helping me do some rearranging of furniture so I had them in mind when I made the card.
I'm entering my card in the Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges. For all the challenge details and to share your project, click the image below.

You Are the Best
It's been a while since I've played along with the Pause Dream Enjoy Challenge. I had started coloring this with Copics but didn't get it finished. When I saw the challenge of "flowers", I knew it would be perfect and I needed a thank you card. I didn't do a lot of blending but decided to simply color the flowers. I love the bright colors. I really enjoy using this Cutting Edge - Flowers stamp set and die from Taylored Expressions.

Daisy Thank You
Today I'm playing along with the Color Throwdown Challenge. It's been a while since I've done so and I loved the colors they had for this challenge. I decided to do a one layer card so the first thing I did was emboss the image of my Big Blooms - Daisy from Taylored Expressions with white embossing powder. Then, I used my Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks to watercolor it. I was pleasantly surprised that the Crumb Cake cardstock from Stampin' Up! held up to the water as well as it did. The sentiment is actually stamped in Basic Gray ink but it looks black in the photo. I love those oxide inks.
Stamp Sets: Big Blooms - Daisy (Taylored Expressions), Background Bits - sentiment (Stampin' Up!); Ink: Basic Gray; Distress Oxide Inks: Black Soot, Peeled Paint, Wilted Violet (Tim Holtz); Cardstock: Crumb Cake; Other: Whisper White Embossing Powder (Stampin' Up!)
The colors I used are from the Color Throwdown Challenge. For all the challenge details and to share your project, click the image below.

Hello and welcome to another sketch from the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Today's sketch turned into another thank you card as I'm still in need of several. I love how bright and cheerful this one turned out. Stripes are so much fun.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #248
Hello and welcome to another sketch from the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Today's sketch said it was perfect for a thank you card, of which I need quite a few. I'm behind in sending out cards to family and friends who helped me through my recent surgery. And, it was perfect for the color challenge over at the Color Throwdown Challenge.
To follow the colors of the challenge, I used Crumb Cake (Stampin' Up!), Soft Sky (Stampin' Up!) and Sugar Cube (Taylored Expressions) cardstock. It's a Crumb Cake base with a layer of Sugar Cube and I followed through with it for the squares cut from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies (Stampin' Up!) The flowers and the little sprig, were cut out of Crumb Cake and Soft Sky cardstock using the Bloomers 4 Dies (Taylored Expressions) and the Flower Box Sprigs & Flowers Dies (Taylored Expressions). The sentiment is a stamp I received from Taylored Expressions as a thank you when I placed an order. It was the perfect size for the area available to stamp. And, for the finishing touches, I added some Soft Sky Twine and blue sequins.
I'm very pleased with the way the sketch and the colors all came together to make such a clean and simple thank you card.

The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge - Frames
Hi everyone! It's the first challenge of the new year from The Sisterhood of Crafters.
This week Diane is our host and she has challenged us to use frames in our designs. Given the fact that I need several thank you cards, I pulled out one of my favorite dies and got to work.
First, I stamped the thank you sentiment in Blue Corn ink by Taylored Expressions. It's from the So Very Much stamp set from Stampin' Up! Then, I embossed the panel using the Brick Embossing Folder by Taylored Expressions. From a pieced of patterned paper from the Playful Patterns - Savory Paper Pack from Taylored Expressions, I cut my frame using the Frame in Frame 2 Cutting Plate, also from Taylored Expressions, and popped it up on foam tape to "frame" the thank you. What you can't see are the few drops of Glossy Accents I added to the brick panel. It's a very clean and simple design but I do love how that sentiment stands out.
For all the challenge details and to share your project at The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge, just click the image below. We'd love to have you join us.
