WWC321 - Tristan's Challenge: All Things Masculine

Hello and welcome to another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  This time it's All Things Masculine.  I brought out another of my Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  It's the Silhouette Wolf and one of my favorites.  I haven't yet decided what sentiment I want on it so, for now, it is just the wolf looking out over the land.

WWC313 - Tristan's Challenge: All Things Masculine

Today's post is coming to you live from my phone.  My first time ever trying to do it this way.  So, yes, it is going to be short.  I'll be so glad when my Internet is set up.

Our challenge this time is All Things Masculine.  I made a calendar.  Once I have the ones for 2022, I'll switch out the calendar.

Once my Internet is up and running, I'll add info on where instructions are for these cute calendars.

Remember, you have until Monday, April 19th at 6 p.m. to share your project with us at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.

WWC309 - Dawn's Challenge: Anything Masculine Goes

It's been so cold here in Iowa that I've gladly stayed inside my cozy little apartment.  I will admit that I am tired of the site of totes that still need unpacked.  Of course, being distracted by these cute little snowmen may be one of the reasons I'm so slow getting the unpacking done.

Our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week is our masculine challenge.  I thought these sweet snowmen would make a perfect card for one of my grandsons.

For all of our challenge details and to share your project, visit the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge by clicking the image below.  We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Monday, February 22nd at 6:00 p.m. Central Standard Time to link up your project.

You may not know this, but I really do love a silhouette.  I have several from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  This one is of a wolf and perfect for this week's challenge at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  Kath is hosting our Anything Goes With a Masculine Twist challenge.  With three sons, seven grandsons as well as several male friends and brothers, it's always nice to have a stash of masculine cards on hand.

WWC294 - Marsha's Challenge: Anything Goes With a Masculine Twist

This week I'm hosting the Anything Goes With a Masculine Twist over at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  I needed a birthday card for my grandson who has just turned 14.  I thought fireworks was a good way to start the celebration.

This is the Fireworks Background Stamp & Stencil set from Taylored Expressions.  You stamp the stars, then add the fireworks using the two stencils in the set.  It is so easy to do and you can get so many different color combinations.

WWC289 - Heidi's Challenge: Anything Goes With a Masculine Twist

Welcome and a happy very smoky Wednesday to you all.  With so many fires burning in California, we are getting lots of smoke blowing into Reno.  I can't see my mountains!  But be that as it may, it's time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  Today Heidi is hosting our Anything Goes With a Masculine Twist.

I made a very simple birthday card as I have several coming up next month and I need cards for each and every one.  This is the Ship with Clouds stamp set from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  I added a wee bit of blue for the water and a wee bit of gray for the clouds and stamped the ship image in black.  I didn't color any part of the ship but I have some ideas percolating in my head that I'll share with you at another time.

Be sure to check out the wonderful projects from the Watercooler Artists.  Then, take the challenge and link up your creation  You can find all of our challenge details by clicking the image below. WWC280 - Kath's Challenge: Anything Goes With a Masculine Twist

And, once again it's time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  This week Kath is hosting our Anything Goes With a Masculine Twist.

This is another of my stamps from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  They have a very nice selection of silhouette stamps and I'll be sharing more of them with you in the coming weeks.   For this one, I used my blending brushes to make the background.  The ink colors I used are Gumball and Plum Punch from Taylored Expressions.

WWC276 - Marsha Challenge: Anything Goes With a Masculine Twist

It's time for an Anything Goes With a Masculine Twist on the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  I'm hosting this week and would love to see those masculine cards you create.  I'm always looking for ideas and inspiration as I make a lot of masculine cards.  Come join us!

This is a very simple one.  I stamped the trees from the Lovely As a Tree stamp set from Stampin' Up!, cut out a black bear using a die from Taylored Expressions, added a sentiment and it was done.

WWC267 - Karen's Challenge: Anything Goes With a Masculine Twist

It's time for a new Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  This week Karen is hosting our "Anything Goes With a Masculine Twist" challenge.  I thought it would be a good time to make a card for my brother to let him know I'm thinking of him.

I don't remember what colors I used for the card base as it's been in my stash box for quite some time.  The stamp set I used is Sailing Home and the Smooth Sailing Dies from Stampin' Up!  The images were stamped using Poblano Pepper ink and Toffee ink from Taylored Expressions

WWC263 - Tristan's Challenge: Anything Goes With a Masculine Twist

Wednesday is back and that means it's time for a new challenge at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  This week Tristan is hosting our Anything Goes With a Masculine Twist challenge.

I love this silhouette die.  I'm thinking you could even cut it apart and use the deer separately.  Hmmm?  Looks like I'm going to have to give that a try.

Stamp Set: Mini Strips Holiday (Taylored Expressions)
Ink: Jet Black (Altenew)
Cardstock: Basic Black
Patterned Paper:  Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper (Stampin' Up!)
Dies: Winter Deer (Sizzix)

Happy Birthday

Okay, it's getting late and I have to be up early in the morning as I'm having breakfast out with my youngest son which means I'm going to keep this post a short one.  It's been a long day and I'm ready to shut everything down and enjoy some quiet time.

Using the sketch from the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge, I created this masculine birthday card.  I always have need for plenty of cards for guys.  I love how this one came together.  I stayed with the light and dark layers in the sketch and this is the result.  I embossed both of the layers but you can't see it on the patterned paper.

Here's another view of the card, which shows off the embossing done with the Hammered Metal Embossing Folder from Stampin' Up!  The patterned paper was embossed using the Subtles Embossing Folder also from Stampin' Up!

The sketch I used is from the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  For all the challenge details, click the image below.

WWC259 - Dawn's Challenge: Anything Goes With a Masculine Twist

Wednesday!  Wednesday!  Wednesday!  Oh, right, it's time for another challenge at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  This week Dawn is hosting our Anything Goes With a Masculine Twist.

This was such a fun card to make.  As you see, I cut an oval in the middle of my card front and added a sentiment strip across the opening.  For the center of the card I made a smaller card that measured  5-1/4" x 8"  and folded in half.  I stamped the image onto the front making sure the fold was to the right.

Stamp Set: Nature's Beauty, Waterfront (Stampin' Up!); Simple Strips-Friendship (Taylored Expressions)
Ink: Frayed Leaf, Gray Denim, Silver Lake (Altenew); Soft Suede (Stampin' Up!)
Cardstock: Granny Apple Green, Whisper White (Stampin' Up!)
Dies: Stitched Oval Stacklets, Simple Strips Die (Taylored Expressions)
Other: Weathered Embossing Folder (Taylored Expressions)

When you open the center card, you have plenty of room to write a note or, if you prefer, stamp a sentiment.  I usually write an note to whomever will be receiving the card.
