This week's challenge at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge is all about Occasions. I didn't have a specific occasion and my time has been limited so I went with some of what I had in my stash and this is the card I made. Love fits a multitude of occasions.
The stamp set I used is Just Believe from Stampin' Up! It is from 2010. It's such a pretty set.
For all of our challenge details and to share your project, visit the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge by clicking the image below. We’d love to have you join us. You have until Monday, August 19th at 4:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time to link up your project.

Typrewriter Font Alphabet Dies
Hello and another Happy Friday to all of you! Today I'm sharing a card I made using a new die from Cheapo Dies. I'll be here every Friday to share a new die with you, so I hope to see you again soon. In the meantime, be sure to take time to check out all the different dies that are available. They are good quality and you just can't beat the price. I know you'll love them as much as I. You can find them HERE.
Today's card features the Typewriter Font Alphabet Dies. With Valentine's Day fast approaching, I thought this would be a good time to use these dies. I cut the letters out of the Bold Glam Glitter Solids paper pack. It's glitter paper but without the mess. I love it! I placed them on a layer of red foil using Scotch Foam Tape. This layer was glued to a white card base. A simple card but pretty and shimmery.

Love Is In The Air
Today finds me with low energy but in the mood to create. I found that I could combine these challenges, CAS(E) this Sketch, Just Us Girls and CAS Watercolour, for a cheerful card that could be used for Valentine's Day or an anniversary.
To start, I did a bit of splotchy watercoloring on a piece of Watercolor Paper. The colors I used were Sweet Sugarplum, Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach. Once dry, I attached that layer to a card base of Whisper White Thick cardstock. The large hearts were punched from Sweet Sugarplum and Blushing Bride. The Blushing Bride heart was embossed with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. The little hearts were punched from Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, Pink Pirouette and Rich Razzleberry using the heart from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. The two hearts on the lower left of the card were embossed using the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder.
From the Sunshine Sayings stamp set, I stamped two sentiments onto Whisper White using Basic Black Archival ink. Then, I added a line of Rhinestone Basic Jewels to each label and one to the large Sweet Sugarplum heart.
Here is a close up of the what the Radiant Rain Shimmering Mist looks like. I sprayed the entire front of the card with it so it has a very pretty shimmer to it.

The Language of Friendship
Well, I have got to say there is never a dull moment in the state of Iowa especially when it comes to the weather. So far today, we've had rain, hail, sleet, thunder, snow and now the wind is picking up so it can blow it all around! I was hoping the thunder snow would miss us since that's when the heaviest snow fall happens. I'm not sure it's over yet, so I don't know how much snow has fallen. Doesn't look like much right now but it looks to be raining again and that's not good. As the temperatures drop, everything is going to get slick.
Today was a great day to spend in the craft studio. I had one more challenge I wanted to get in before it closes. It's the one over at Time Out Challenges. The challenge was to create a "Love and/or Friendship" project. I combined hearts for love and the great sentiment of Thoreau's for friendship. Here's how it turned out. I love the muted heart patterned paper. You can check out the challenge by clicking HERE.
Stamp Set: Language of Friendship - retired (Stampin' Up!); Inks: Tuxedo Black (Memento), Old Olive (Stampin' Up!); Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple (Stampin' Up!), Homespun Patterned Paper (Simple Stores); Accessories & Tools: Decorative Label Punch, Small Heart Punch, 3/8" Old Olive Striped Organdy Ribbon - retired and Stampin' Dimensionals (Stampin' Up!), Rhinestones
Okay, I promise that I am done posting for today. I'm going to go put my feet up and watch a movie or a wee bit of TV. It's also time for my afternoon snack. Life is good even when we are under a blizzard warning!

My Day of Rest and Worship
Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving. And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.

My Day of Rest and Worship
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Happy Valentine's Day
Here is the last Valentine card I'll be making for a while. It goes out to wish all of you a very Happy Valentine's Day.
Stamp Sets: Oh, Hello, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Ink: Midnight Muse; Card Stock: Summer Starfruit, Whisper White, Midnight Muse, Not Quite Navy; Accessories & Tools: Full Heart Punch, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, 3/16" Corner, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Crystal Effects, Stampin' Dimensionals
The heart is covered with little circles that were left after I punched the holes for the handles on the 40 mini treat boxes I made for a customer. They were so bright and colorful that I didn't want to just throw them in the trash. Instead, I glued them to a heart and covered it with Crystal Effects to be sure I didn't lose any of those little bitty pieces.
Hope you all have a great day!

My Day of Rest and Worship
Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God, and everyone that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

He Died For You. What Have You Done For Him?
He died!
He rose!
He lives!
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16
