You

This week's challenge at Mojo Monday is to make a tall and skinny card.  I love skinny cards!  I chose to make the 3.50 x 5.50 size so it would fit the envelope I have on hand.  I used the colors from the Pals Paper Arts challenge.  The two together were perfect!

Stamp Sets:  Kinda Eclectic, Work of Art; Inks:  Basic Gray, Lost Lagoon; Card Stock:  Pool Party, Whisper White, All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack, Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack; Accessories & Tools:  1-3/4" Scalloped Circle Punch, 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch, 1/8" Mini Brads, 2013-2015 In Color Sequin, 1/4" Pool Party Ribbon - retired, Mini Glue Dots, Dimensionals
All Stampin' Up!® product, unless otherwise noted.

HERE is the sketch from the Mojo Monday Card Sketch Challenge.

Mother's Day in Pink

Today's card was inspired by the sketch found at Mojo Monday Card Sketch Challenge and the inspirational photo over at the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge.  It made for a great combination for my final Mother's Day card.  In retrospect, I would have stamped the sentiment with the Melon Mambo (Stampin' Up!) color I used for the Petite Petals flower for an additional pop of color.  I do like the way it turned out using the various shades of pink.

Stamp Sets:  Petite Petals, Teeny Tiny Wishes (Stampin' Up!); Inks:  Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo (Stampin' Up!); Card Stock:  Blushing Bride, Pink Pirouette, Very Vanilla (Stampin' Up!), Unforgettable Paper Pad (My Mind's Eye); Accessories & Tools:  Petite Petals Punch, Labels Collection Framelits, Gold Sequin Trim, Pearl Basic Jewels, Crystal Effects (Stampin' Up!)

See the thin gold strands under the flower?  I was trying to tie a bow using some Gold Baker's Twine  (Stampin' Up!).  Unfortunately, I was not have a good experience tying bows at the time and it unraveled from the twine.  Since I try to use up everything, I thought it would be a pretty addition to this card.  Different, right, but I like it.  :-)

For My Sister

Next month is my oldest younger sister, Terri's, birthday.  She loves all things purple so in keeping with her favorite, I made her card all in shades of purple.  I used the sketch from Mojo Monday Card Sketch Challenge and really like how this came together.  Even though the Beautiful Birthday stamp is retired, it remains one of my favorites.  I love all the swirls.

Stamp Set:  Beautiful Birthday-retired (Stampin' Up!); Ink:  Perfect Plum (Stampin' Up!); Card Stock:  Perfect Plum, Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant and various Designer Series Papers (Stampin' Up!), She Art Patterned Paper (Christy Tomlinson); Accessories & Tools:  Decorative Label Punch, Heart Collection Framelits, Full Heart Punch, Small Heart Punch and Stampin' Dimensionals (Stampin' Up!), Rhinestones

Here is the sketch I used for my card.  Click on the image to head over to the Mojo Monday Sketch Card Sketch Challenge.

Mojo Monday 326

This week's challenge gave you a choice of round or square.  I chose to do a 5" x 5" square using the new In Color Strawberry Slush.  I paired it with some Basic Grey patterned paper and Pool Party Seam Binding.  I used the sentiment from the current Hostess Simply Sketched Stamp Set.  It's much prettier in person.  I don't have my light tent set up and I can sure see the difference in my photos.  Think I'd better put that on my to do list for this weekend.

Stamp Set:  Simply Sketched (Stampin' Up!); Ink:  Strawberry Slush (Stampin' Up!); Card Stock:  Strawberry Slush and Whisper White (Stampin' Up!), True Love Patterned Paper (Basic Grey); Accessories & Tools:  Labels Collection Framelits, 1/2" Pool Party Seam Binding Ribbon, Rhinestones, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Stampin' Dimensionals

Here is the sketch from Mojo Monday.  I may just have to do the round one too and use my new Circles Collection Framelits.

Mojo Monday 302 Sketch Challenge

My grandson wasn't here yesterday, as he usually is on Tuesdays, so I had most of the day to sit at my craft table and have fun.  The new Mojo Monday Sketch is one that I really like.  Because I so rarely make anything pink, I thought it would be fun to do so with this challenge.    For all the information regarding the current challenge, click Here or on the image below.

I used my Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch to make border on the square.  It's a technique I haven't used in a while but I always like the way it looks.  I wanted to add a strip of ribbon and a bow but I didn't have any that would look good with the pink.  As I said, I don't do much with pink.  Give me blue and I'm a seriously happy stamper.  And, now, here is the card I made.

Stamps:  Sweet Nature (Flourishes), Flower Shop (Stampin' Up!); Ink:  Raspberry Ripple (Stampin' Up!); Card Stock:  Blushing Bride, Whisper White (Stampin' Up!), True Love Paper Pad (Basic Grey); Accessories & Tools:  Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Pansy Punch, Essentials Paper Piercing Pack (all Stampin' Up!), Basic Bow Embossing Die (Taylored Expressions)

Until next time . . . happy creating!

Secret Garden Thinking of You

Today I'm playing along with the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.  If memory serves me, this is my first time contributing to this challenge.  And, it's a very special challenge.  They are celebrating their 300th sketch.  Wow!  Be sure to visit the Mojo Monday Blog.  You can click on the link above or the sketch photo below.

Stamp Set:  Garden Shed (Taylored Expressions); Inks:  Perfect Plum (Stampin' Up!), Antique Linen Distress Ink (Tim Holtz Ranger); Card Stock:  Very Vanilla and Perfect Plum (Stampin' Up!), Secret Garden (Graphic 45); Accessories & Tools:  Flower Box Sprigs & Flowers Die (Taylored Expressions), Framed Tulips Embossing Folder (Stampin' Up!), 1-3/4" Circle Punch (Stampin' Up!), Silver Mini Brad (Stampin' Up!)

Here is the sketch that provided the inspiration for my card.

It was a fun sketch and gave me a chance to use some of my Secret Garden patterned paper by Graphic 45.
