Freshly Made Sketches 151 and Color Throwdown 307

It's been a while since I've contributed to the Color Throwdown Challenge so I combined it with the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.  I don't recall ever using Pacific Point and Crushed Curry together but I do like the effect.  While my creating time has been a bit limited lately, I finally had a chance to play with some of my new product.  The little die I used for the leaves came with a magazine I recently purchased.

I didn't add a sentiment because, at this time, I don't know if it will be a birthday, thinking of you or thank you card.  It's one of those cases where when I need it, it will fit.  :-)

Stamp Sets:  Beautiful Bunch, Kinda Eclectic; Inks:  Pacific Point, Crushed Curry; Card Stock:  Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Pacific Point, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools:  Arrows Embossing Folder, Fun Flower Punch, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Dazzling Details, Glue Dots, SNAIL Adhesive, Dimensionals, Stampin' Trimmer, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Floral Die (unknown)
All Stampin' Up!® Product unless otherwise noted.

Just Add Ink 226

It's a short post for you today but I wanted to share the card I made for the Just Add Ink Challenge this week.  I loved the simplicity of this sketch.  Given how early in the morning it was when I made my card, it's a good thing it was an easy one to put together.  I think my eyes are crossing!

All the Stampin' Up! Product used is noted below.  The paper doily is from Bo Bunny.

The sketch can be found HERE at Just Add Ink.

Watercooler Challenge #6

Okay, I got a little dotty with my card but I do so love polka dots.  Our challenge this time was to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) a fellow member of the Watercooler.  I chose Heidi Weaver's card because I love that Kinda Eclectic stamp set.  I used mostly the same colors but for my background I used Blackberry Bliss instead of Basic Black.  My little butterfly is different in that it is Hello Honey instead of the Crisp Cantaloupe Heidi used and my rhinestones are colored using the Coastal Cabana Blendabilities.  I pulled Hello Honey from the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack.

You know,  there are just days when some things just don't go as well as you wanted.  My big butterfly wiggled his wing and my top layer went tilt just as I pressed it to the card stock.  So, while there are a few imperfections, I bravely shared the original rather than start over.  :-)

Stamp Set:  Kinda Eclectic; Inks:  Coastal Cabana, Hello Honey, Pistachio Pudding, Tuxedo Black Memento; Blendabilities:  Coastal Cabana; Card Stock:  Blackberry Bliss, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack; Accessories & Tools:  Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, SNAIL Adhesive, Dimensionals

Here is the card Heidi Weaver made.

Kinda Eclectic Hello

With my ten year old granddaughter, Mariah, visiting for a few days, I've not had many chances to get into my craft studio.  She does well entertaining herself but I love doing things with her when she is here.  We spent yesterday afternoon putting together some past Paper Pumpkin kits and she had a ball.  She is quite creative and has many very cool ideas.  I did manage to sneak in a little solo creating last night and this is the card I made for Freshly Made Sketches.

Stamp Sets:  Four You, Kinda Eclectic; Inks:  Blackberry Bliss, Crisp Cantaloupe; Card Stock:  Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools:  Blossom Punch, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Dimensionals
All Stampin' Up!® Product unless otherwise noted.

Bloom with Hope

Two challenges, one card.  It's all good.  I love combining a sketch challenge and a color challenge.  For me, it's creating made easy.  Fab Friday's color challenge uses colors I would not necessarily put together.  Coastal Cabana and Daffodil Delight, yes, but Strawberry Slush... now that one with the others I wasn't so sure about.  Can I just say, I've changed my mind?  I did stamp off the sentiment to give it a softer look.  I was afraid the fully inked stamp would be too much.  And, I loved the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch.  It was perfect for showcasing the flower.  So, here is the finished project.

Stamp Sets:  Bloom with Hope, Kinda Eclectic; Inks:  Coastal Cabana Blendabilities, Daffodil Delight, Strawberry Slush, Copic Sketch Markers Y13, Y19, Paris Dusk Memento (Tsukineko); Card Stock:  Whisper White, Strawberry Slush; Accessories & Tools:  Dimensionals
All Stampin' Up!® Product unless otherwise noted.

Wacky Watercooler First Anniversary Blog Hop

http://wackywatercoolerstamping.blogspot.com/2014/07/the-wacky-watercooler-first-anniversary.html

Wow!  It's hard to believe a whole year has passed since the very first Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop.  I'm thrilled to be a part of the celebration.  You've arrived here from Deborah Smart's blog and her great projects.  Our focus for this hop was the new 2014-2016 In Colors and the new Designer Series Papers.  You do know there is a special on this month, right?  It's a Buy 3, Get 1 Free.  You'll definitely want to check that out!

My order didn't get here in time for me to use the new Designer Series Papers I ordered, so I used papers from the new Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack, which is not part of the above mentioned special.  Each card I made does show off the new 2014-2016 In Colors, which are totally fabulous.  I can't get enough of them!

One of the newest stamp sets I've purchased is the Kinda Eclectic and I am loving it.  Paired with our new 2014-2016 In Colors it makes for a very pretty card.  Well, at least I think so.  :-)

Stamp Sets:  Kinda Eclectic, Bloom with Hope; Inks:  Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss, Smoky Slate; Card Stock:  Wild Wasabi, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools:  Modern Label Punch, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Dimensionals
All Stampin' Up!® Product

For the first time that I can remember, I can say I actually like the color orange.  Tangelo Twist just seems to jump out at me and force me to like it.  I saw a similar card in my browsing but the person didn't have a watermark so I don't who to give credit to but I do thank them for sharing it.  If you know who it is, please let me know so I can give proper credit.  The only differences in my card from the original is the orientation and the sentiment.

Stamp Set:  Trust God; Ink:  VersaMark Watermark; Card Stock:  Tangelo Twist, Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White, Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack; Accessories & Tools:  Pansy Punch, Petite Petals Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Bird Builder Punch, Owl Builder Punch, White Embossing Powder, Mini Glue Dots, Dimensionals
All Stampin' Up!® Product

My third card is an anniversary one to celebrate our year of Wacky Watercooler blog hops.  I am loving the richness of those new In Colors!  Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey look so well together.  Don't you think so?

Stamp Sets:  Flower Shop, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Inks:  Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey; Card Stock:  Hello Honey, Sahara Sand, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White, Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack; Accessories & Tools:  Pansy Punch, Bird Builder Punch, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Dimensionals
All Stampin' Up!® Product

Thoughts of You

You can sure tell it is July in Iowa.  The temperatures range in the mid to high 80s, with some 90s, and the humidity is suffocating.  Fortunately, my nice cool craft studio let's me look out the window and enjoy the summer while keeping the heat away.  I spent the afternoon making cards and planning some upcoming classes.  Here's today's card using the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch.

Stamp Sets:  Kinda Eclectic, Petite Petals, Loving Thoughts (retired); Inks:  Pistachio Pudding, Blushing Bride, Blackberry Bliss; Card Stock:  Whisper White; Accessories & Tools:  Petite Petals Punch, Pistachio Pudding Thick Baker's Twine, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Dimensionals

Watercooler Challenge 3

It's time for another Watercooler Challenge.  This time it's a sketch.  I grabbed my Mossy Meadow and had fun mixing up some of my favorite stamp sets.  I really love that 'you' from the Work of Art stamp set.  As I turned on the lamps for my light tent, one of them burned out so my photo is a little on the dark side.  Those things just seem to happen when you least expect.

Stamp Sets:  Kinda Eclectic, Work of Art, Gorgeous Grunge; Inks:  Blushing Bride, Pistachio Pudding, Mossy Meadow, Strawberry Slush; Card Stock:  Mossy Meadow, Very Vanilla, All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack; Accessories & Tools:  Postage Stamp Punch, 1" Square Punch, 3/8" Mossy Meadow Stitched Satin Ribbon, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Mini Glue Dots, Dimensionals
All Stampin' Up!® product, unless otherwise noted.

You

This week's challenge at Mojo Monday is to make a tall and skinny card.  I love skinny cards!  I chose to make the 3.50 x 5.50 size so it would fit the envelope I have on hand.  I used the colors from the Pals Paper Arts challenge.  The two together were perfect!

Stamp Sets:  Kinda Eclectic, Work of Art; Inks:  Basic Gray, Lost Lagoon; Card Stock:  Pool Party, Whisper White, All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack, Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack; Accessories & Tools:  1-3/4" Scalloped Circle Punch, 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch, 1/8" Mini Brads, 2013-2015 In Color Sequin, 1/4" Pool Party Ribbon - retired, Mini Glue Dots, Dimensionals
All Stampin' Up!® product, unless otherwise noted.
