Mojo Monday 377

It has been a busy few days and I've not spent much time in my craft studio.  I had such a good time with my family and was so glad that all of my boys were home this year.  It warms this mother's heart! Speaking of hearts, Valentine's Day is not so far off.  Here is a card showcasing some of the new Stacked With Love Designer Series Paper Stack you'll find in the 2015 Occasions Catalog coming out on January 6th.

Stamp Sets:  Work of Art, Punch Potpourri (retired); Ink:  Real Red; Card Stock:  Stacked With Love Designer Series Paper Stack, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools:  Hearts Collection Framelits Dies, Staggered Heart Border Die-Namics (My Favorite Things), Pearl Basic Jewels, Glue Dots, Dimensionals

The sketch is the current one from Mojo Monday.  You can find it and more details HERE.

Mojo Monday 374

Since I have a really busy weekend ahead of me, I decided to share this with you now.  I loved the sketch on the Mojo Monday Card Sketch Challenge this week.  I paired it with Blackberry Bliss and Lost Lagoon, two of my favorite 2014-2016 In Colors.  The snowflake doesn't show up well but can you believe I still haven't bought new bulbs for the light tent set up?  I keep forgetting them.  They are at the top of my list for my next shopping spree!

Stamp Set:  Christmas Bliss; Ink:  Lost Lagoon; Card Stock:  Blackberry Bliss, All Is Calm Specialty Designer Series Paper, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools:  All Is Calm Snowflake Embellishments, Linen Thread, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Dimensionals

You can find all the details for the Mojo Monday Card Sketch Challenge HERE.

Paper Players 221 - Mojo Monday 371

Combining challenges is something I really enjoy.  It can be quite a challenge sometimes but the colors from Paper Players made it easy.  I love the Mossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla.  They worked well with the Mojo Monday sketch and for this Christmas card.  With all the Mossy Meadow I used on the card, I purposely didn't add a layer of it under the top layer of patterned paper.  I did give it a try when I was playing with the layout but I didn't like the way it looked.  I could be wrong.  :-)

Stamp Set:  Hardwood, Delightful Dozen (retired); Ink:  Cherry Cobbler; Card Stock:  Mossy Meadow, Very Vanilla, All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack, Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack (retired); Accessories & Tools:  Labels Collection Framelits Dies, Cherry Cobbler 1" Sheer Linen Ribbon, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Trimmer, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine

The colors are from this week's Paper Players Color Challenge.  You can find all the details HERE.

MOJO366 along with CTD313

Let me just say it's been a rough week evidenced by my lack of posting here.  Migraines are no fun but a migraine due to caffeine withdrawal is extremely painful.  Yes, I love my coffee and I'm happy to say I'm back swigging that wonderful stuff and feeling quite perky!  :-)  Enough so I was able to get a card done for a couple of challenges.  Mojo Monday has a great sketch and using the colors from Color Throwdown proved to be rather interesting.  I just didn't know how to make them look good together.  Here is what I finally decided on so you be the judge.

The pineapple is part of my brass collection.  I love to collect the stuff and I love the patina of unpolished brass.  Actually, I find that interesting given the fact that I love sparkle and shine.   All I do is wipe them off with a microfiber cloth and that's it.

Stamp Sets:  Bloom with Hope, Four You; Inks:  Daffodil Delight, Perfect Plum, Tangerine Tango; Card Stock:  Daffodil Delight, Perfect Plum, Tangerine Tango, Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools:  Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Stampin' Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Trimmer

Mojo Monday Card Sketch Challenge 361

So, what do you do when you can't sleep?  Me?  I make cards.  :-)  It's been a long week and I'm not surprised that sleep has eluded me.  At least it's Saturday and I can take it easy all the day long.  Well, for the most part.  With three sets of swap cards to design and make, a blog hop to make projects for and my Sunday Christmas Card Challenges Design Team card to design, I will definitely be busy but at least I can sit and be busy.

I am totally loving all the new product I recently purchased!  My sleepless night gave me the opportunity to use my new Holiday Home Stamp Set as well as some of the new Cherry Cobbler 1" Sheer Linen Ribbon.  Now, that ribbon is really very cool.  The snowflake sequins are colored with the Coastal Cabana Blendabilities.  The roof and chimney are colored with my Copic Markers since I only have the one set of Blendabilities.  While I do have the framelits that go with the Holiday Home stamp set, I didn't use them.  For the house, I did some paper piecing.  I stamped the image on a piece of patterned paper and cut it out by hand.  It's my little Sahara Sand with Garden Green polka dot house with a Cherry Cobbler wreath above the door.  Can  you tell I get rather chatty when I'm tired.  :-)

Stamp Set:  Holiday Home; Inks:  Cherry Cobbler, Pear Pizzazz, Tuxedo Black Memento; Blendabilities:  Coastal Cabana; Card Stock:  Early Espresso, Whisper White, Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack; Accessories & Tools:  Circles Collection Framelits, Corner Rounder Punch, Cherry Cobbler 1" Sheer Linen Ribbon, Frosted Sequins, Glue Dots, SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Trimmer, Crystal Effects
All Stampin' Up!® Product unless otherwise noted.

I used the sketch from the Mojo Monday Card Sketch Challenge.  They had a great sketch this week.  You can find it HERE.

Mojo Monday Card Sketch Challenge 360

What do you get when you cross a new stamp set with paper scraps and beautiful fall colors?  A 'hello FALL' tall and skinny card, one that is just right for the current Mojo Monday Card Sketch Challenge.  It's the first chance I've had to play with my new For All Things stamp set and I must say I'm loving the images from it.

Stamp Set:  For All Things; Inks:  Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede; Card Stock:  Cajun Craze, Harvest Plaid (Reminisce), Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla; Accessories & Tools:  Labels Collection Framelits, 2013-2015 In Color Sequins, Baked Brown Sugar Thick Baker's Twine, Paper Snips, Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive, Multipurpose Liquis Glue, Stampin' Trimmer
All Stampin' Up!® Product unless otherwise noted.

It's a Perfect Match!

Oh my gosh!  I love the Mojo Monday sketch this week and I love the Pals Paper Arts colors and that is what I a perfect match!  The colors immediately had me thinking of my best friend, Sue, who lost her battle with cancer three years ago.  She loved blues and yellows together.

Again, pardon the shadowy photo.  I need to get a replacement bulb for my lamp.  Right now I'm working with only one.  My major, once-a-month shopping spree happens next week so only a few more days to get through with shady photos.

Stamp Sets:  Bloom With Hope; Ink:  Night of Navy; Card Stock:  Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy, Whisper White, All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack; Accessories & Tools:  Scallop Edge Border Punch, Rhinestone Basic Jewels
All Stampin' Up!® Product, unless otherwise noted.

Color Splash

Do you see a pattern going here?  :-)   Two more challenges, one colorful card.  Yes, I know, I do love those challenges.  It is a fun way to keep the creativity flowing.  For today's card, I used the sketch from Mojo Monday Card Sketch Challenge and this week's word cue from CAS-ology.  The minute I read the word splash, I knew Gorgeous Grunge was the perfect stamp set.  The circles from the sketch were great for showcasing the splash!  Oh, just a word of caution, be sure you stamp your sentiment before putting everything together.  That is the voice of experiencing speaking as I put the banner on the circle, then on the card before I stamped the you which is why you see just a little bit of a wiggle in front of the you.  Sigh... it just happens that way sometimes.

Stamp Sets:  Gorgeous Grunge, Work of Art (Stampin' Up!); Inks:  Island Indigo, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Night of Navy, Pool Party (Stampin' Up!); Card Stock:  Pool Party, Whisper White (Stampin' Up!); Accessories & Tools:  1-3/4" Circle Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals (Stampin' Up!)

HERE is the great sketch from Mojo Monday Card Sketch Challenge.

Mother's Day in Pink

Today's card was inspired by the sketch found at Mojo Monday Card Sketch Challenge and the inspirational photo over at the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge.  It made for a great combination for my final Mother's Day card.  In retrospect, I would have stamped the sentiment with the Melon Mambo (Stampin' Up!) color I used for the Petite Petals flower for an additional pop of color.  I do like the way it turned out using the various shades of pink.

Stamp Sets:  Petite Petals, Teeny Tiny Wishes (Stampin' Up!); Inks:  Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo (Stampin' Up!); Card Stock:  Blushing Bride, Pink Pirouette, Very Vanilla (Stampin' Up!), Unforgettable Paper Pad (My Mind's Eye); Accessories & Tools:  Petite Petals Punch, Labels Collection Framelits, Gold Sequin Trim, Pearl Basic Jewels, Crystal Effects (Stampin' Up!)

See the thin gold strands under the flower?  I was trying to tie a bow using some Gold Baker's Twine  (Stampin' Up!).  Unfortunately, I was not have a good experience tying bows at the time and it unraveled from the twine.  Since I try to use up everything, I thought it would be a pretty addition to this card.  Different, right, but I like it.  :-)
