Whew! A new challenge that has you make two different designs using the same stamp or die and different occasions. The Twofer Card Challenge should be a fun one. I played along with it as well with the CAS Watercolour Challenge and The Paper Players Challenge.
The card on the left is done using Candied Apple and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide inks to make a watercolored background for the heart. Actually the heart was cut out of my first attempt and I didn't like it but it did beautifully as a die cut. The stamps I used are both from Stampin' Up! The sentiments are from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and the other is the Amazing You stamp set. They were stamped using Poppy Seed ink from Taylored Expressions.
For the card on the right, I used the colors from The Paper Players. I made my own background paper by stamping Real Red ink and Crumb Cake ink using the little heart from the Jar of Love stamp set by Stampin' Up! I stamped it off so the colors would be softer and stay in the background. The sentiment on the bottom right is from the retired Stampin' Up! Oh So Succulent stamp set. It was stamped using Poppy Seed ink from Taylored Expressions.
The hearts were cut using the Sunshine Wishes Dies by Stampin' Up! For the labels I used the Modern Label Punch and the Word Window Punch both retired from Stampin' Up!. The finishing touches were adding some Nuvo Winter Blizzard Glitter Drops to the birthday card and Pearl Basic Jewels to the anniversary card.
Both of my cards have been entered in the Twofer Card Challenge. I've also entered the card on the left in the CAS Watercolour Challenge and the card on the right in The Paper Players Challenge. For all the challenge details and to share your projects, click the images below.

CAS(E) this Sketch #137
When I saw the sketch from the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge, I knew exactly what kind of card I wanted to create. I needed an anniversary card for my son and his wife and I loved the sketch as well as the elegance of the black and white used to map out the sketch. A couple of punches, a few rhinestones and a spot of color make for a very clean and simple card.
Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes; Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento; Card Stock: Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White Thick; Accessories & Tools: Sweetheart Punch, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, Rhinestone Flourish (unknown), SNAIL Adhesive, Dimensionals, Stampin' Trimmer. All Stampin' Up!® products unless otherwise noted.

Full of Hearts
Do you ever have days when nothing you do seems to go well? I have been trying all the day long to get a decent picture of this card I made for the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge. It is such a light card that no matter what kind of light I used in the light tent, it just would not photography well. Sigh... so, here is the best I could get. It's actually an anniversary card that I'll give to one of my guys. I'll stamp the main sentiment is on the inside once I'm ready to use the card.
The dotted layer was sponged with Real Red but I liked the soft look of it so I didn't go any darker with the color. The dots didn't show up well, either but the layer does make those Real Red hearts pop. A few hearts punched using the Sweetheart Punch and that was all there was to it.
Stamp Set: You Brighten My Day; Ink: Real Red; Card Stock: Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper, Real Red, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools: Sweetheart Punch, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Trimmer

It's An Anniversary
Whew! It is done! The apartment building I live in is celebrating 35 years of service to the community. The Facility Manager asked me to design a card for the occasion. Their colors are Royal Blue, Red and White so I made up some samples using Pacific Point, Real Red and Whisper White. This is the design they approved. They needed 100, so I'm thankful it was a clean and simple design they chose. I love how it turned out!
Stamp Set: Gorgeous Grunge, Kinda Eclectic, Feeling Sentimental (retired); Inks: Hello Honey, Pacific Point, VersaMark Watermark Pad; Card Stock: Pacific Point, Real Red, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools: Decorative Label Punch, Ticket Corner Punch, SNAIL Adhesive, Simply Scored Score Board, Stampin' Trimmer, Dimensionals

Birthday Blossom Tree
It's time to start on my birthday and anniversary cards for June and July. I have two birthday cards done with one more to go and one anniversary. Over the next few days, I'll be sharing those with you. Today's birthday card is for one of my daughter-in-law, Jody. Not to brag, but I really like how this one came together. I have been using up little bits of this and that. I always seem to have extras of everything and my goal for this year is to use up everything. It's a lofty goal but I have been making progress. :-)
The stenciled layer sat on my craft table for a couple of weeks. It was for a different project but I went with something else. Last night, while straightening up my craft area, I saw it laying there and thought how pretty it would look with blossoms all over it. That lead to finding those Daffodil Delight butterflies. Here is the result. So, what do you think?
Stamp Sets: Petite Petals, Bloom with Hope (Stampin' Up!); Inks: Baked Brown Sugar, Pistachio Pudding, Pool Party, Blushing Bride (Stampin' Up!); Card Stock: Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Daffodil Delight (Stampin' Up!); Accessories & Tools: Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Petite Petals Punch, Mordern Label Punch, Rhinestone Basic Jewels (Stampin' Up!), Layered Tree Stencil (Wendy Vecchi - Studio 490), Dimensionals

Sparkle, Glitz and Glam
With a few anniversary dates approaching, I knew I needed to get busy and get the cards done before I forget. Yes, I have the dates written on two calendars but they seem to get buried amongst all the crafty stuff and you know the old saying, "out of sight out of mind." Add to that my advancing years and you have a perfect formula for forgetfulness.
The current challenge at Craft Hoarders Anonymous was perfect for a beautiful silver and black anniversary card. I love these two colors together! It also let me use some rhinestone trim I've been keeping in my stash. Since I have to mail this one, I kept the layers to a limit. In all honesty, I think this was a good example of less is more. It really let the rhinestone trim stand out.
Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes (Stampin' Up!); Ink: VersaMark Watermark Ink; Card Stock: Basic Black (Stampin' Up!), Glitzy Glitter Cardstock Stack (DCWV); Accessories & Tools: Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch and Black Embossing Powder (Stampin' Up!), Silver Rhinestone Trim, Black Rhinestone Trim, Pop Dots

Vanilla Red I Love You
Although this card was made with Valentine's Day in mind, it would also be appropriate for an anniversary or one of those just thinking of you cards. I love getting those. It's nice to know that someone thinks of you now and again.
Stamps: Just Believe, My Little Valentine; Ink: Riding Hood Red; Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Riding Hood Red, Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack; Accessories & Tools: Labels Collection Framelits, Full Heart Punch, Modern Label Punch, Stripes Embossing Folder, Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack/Heart, Dazzling Details, Blender (to add zigzag to label), Anywhere Glue Stick, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine
For the heart behind the stamped heart, I used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack heart then, cut around it and it was a perfect fit for the background. To get the texture on the Riding Hood Red layer, I ran it through the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, first one way then the other.

Happy 100th Anniversary!
Wow! Can you believe it? I was going to take a picture of my Girl Scout pin but, unfortunately, I couldn't find it. It's in a box somewhere with all of the other little mementos from my childhood. It was so exciting to graduate from the Brownies to a full-fledged Girl Scout. Many things have changed since I was a part of the group. May it continue for another one hundred years!

You Are Loved Anniversary
When asked to make an anniversary card and told pink was his wife's favorite color, I realized I didn't have much pink and probably not enough to do an entire card. Surprise, I found one sheet of Blushing Bride so wanted to make as many cards with it as possible. Yesterday's card was made from half of the card stock. This one was inspired by the fact that, when I tried to tear it along a ruler with a decorative edge, it didn't go as well as I had hoped. When I accidentally bent and put a crease in that wasn't wanted, in frustration, I crumpled the whole thing in my hand. Then, smoothed it out and decided to see how I could use it.
Stamp Sets: You Are Loved, Raining Flowers, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Inks: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Card Stock: Blushing Bride, Very Vanilla; Accessories: Word Window Punch, 3/8" Soft Suede Taffeta Ribbon, Stampin' Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals, Dazzling Details, Small Oval Punch (retired), Jewels Basic Rhinestones (colored with permanent marker)
I am really liking the new stamp set, You Are Loved, from the Holiday Mini. And, come Wednesday, my order from the upcoming Occasions Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration Catalog will be here and I can start sharing some new and fantastic products with you. There are a lot of great new products and I already have several ideas in mind for some Valentine's Day cards and gifts.
And, there you have it. The second card made using the only sheet of Blushing Bride card stock on my shelf. Later, I'll show you the last one I made in the trio.
Blessings from Marsha

Happy Anniversary Sparkle
It was fun to finally get a chance to be creative. It's been a busy time since Thanksgiving and I feel like I've just caught my first deep breath! I made three cards Friday afternoon using one sheet of Blushing Bride card stock and, over the weekend, I'll show you how I used it.
I love Stampin' Up!® Glimmer paper! It shimmers and sparkles and grabs the eye. When asked to design an anniversary card, I knew I wanted to use it to add some glitz to the card. On the inside of the card in Regal Rose, I stamped the sentiment, "You're in my thoughts; You're in my heart," from the Word Play stamp set.
Stamp Sets: You Are Loved, Language of Friendship, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Word Play; Inks: Crumb Cake, Regal Rose, Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker; Card Stock: Blushing Bride, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper; Accessories: Dotted Scalloped Ribbon Border Punch, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Bird Builder Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Jewels Basic Pearls, Stampin' Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive
If you would like free instructions for making the Dotted Scalloped Ribbon Border square, e-mail me at the address above and I'll send it right out to you.
