WWC194 - "Anything Goes" Challenge

Wednesday has rolled around again and it's time for a new Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  This week Heidi is hosting our "Anything Goes" as it is the fifth week of the month and makes for a nice change in the lineup of challenges.

The card I'm sharing with you today was one I made in a recent watercoloring class I took at the Taylored Expressions Stamp Joy 2018 Event.  It was taught by Taylor and I learned a couple of new tricks using her new Liquid Watercolors.  They are so much fun.

For this card we used one color.  It's Plum Punch and to get the ombre effect you simply add more water as you do each strip across the watercolor paper.  It's such a bright, cheerful card.

Liquid Watercolor:  Plum Punch (Taylored Expressions)
Cardstock:  Watercolor Paper, Lollipop, Peapod, Sugar Cube, Plum Punch, Strawberry Milkshake, Lavender Glaze (Taylored Expressions)
Dies:  Hello Script, Hello Script Backer, Leafy Branch, Scribble Flowers (Taylored Expressions)
Other:  Berry Patch Designer Felt

Hawaiian Flowers

Hello and a Happy Friday!  Today I'm sharing a card I made using another fantastic die from Cheapo Dies.  I'll be here every Friday to share a new die with you so I hope to see you again.  In the meantime, be sure to take time to check out all the different dies they have available.  You can see them HERE.

Today I'm featuring the Hawaiian Flowers Die.  I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do with this die so I started by cutting it out of white cardstock.  I got out my Stampin' Write Markers and colored the flowers using Melon Mambo, the leaves using Old Olive and the stamens using Crushed Curry.  Since I wanted to use a card base made from Melon Mambo cardstock, I thought the white would be too stark for such a bright flower.  Then, I remembered a new Feeling Dotty Stencil I have from Altenew and I created this lovely background onto Soft Sea Foam cardstock using Frayed Leaf ink by Altenew.  I popped the die-cut up on foam tape and offset it onto the card front.  The sentiment is from the Jump for Joy stamp set by Maymay Made It.  It's stamped on white cardstock using black ink.

Stamp Set:  Jump for Joy (Maymay Made It)
Ink:  Frayed Leaf, Jet Black (Altenew)
Stampin' Write Markers:  Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Old Olive (Stampin' Up!)
Cardstock:  Sugar Cube (Taylored Expressions); Melon Mambo, Soft Sea Foam (Stampin' Up!)
Dies:  Hawaiian Flowers (Cheapo Dies)
Other:  Feeling Dotty Stencil (Altenew); Clear Wink of Stella Brush

Butterflies

Hello and a Happy Friday to everyone!  Today I'm sharing a card I made using a new die from Cheapo Dies.  I'll be here every Friday to share a new die with you so I hope to see you again.  In the meantime, be sure to take time to check out all the different dies they have available.  You can see them HERE.

Today I'm featuring the new Butterflies Die.  They are just the right size for a card and I love the detail.  I created a background on watercolor paper using Brusho Crystals.  Then, I stamped flower silhouettes and the Hello and added the butterflies.  There are actually four butterflies in this set of dies but I decided to use just the three on this card.

Stamp Set:  Secret Garden Collage (TPC Studio)
Ink:  Earl Grey (Taylored Expressions)
Brusho Crystals:  Moss Green, Brilliant Blue, Yellow, Emerald Green, Gamboge
Cardstock:  Basic Gray, Pineapple Punch, Blueberry Bushel, Pumpkin Pie (Stampin' Up!); Watercolor Paper (Strathmore)

Caroler Quartet

Hello and a Happy Friday to everyone!  Today I'm sharing a card I made using the Caroler Quartet Die Cheapo Dies.  I'll be here every Friday to share a new die with you so I hope to see you again.  In the meantime, be sure to take time to check out all the different dies they have available.  You can see them HERE.

Today I'm featuring the new Caroler Quartet Die.  I love these carolers in silhouette.  Reminds me of something right out of Dickens.  I wanted the silhouette to be the focal point so I kept embellishments to a minimum and added only one small rhinestone as the dot for the 'i' in Christmas.  The card is a 6" x 6" card as I just couldn't bring myself to cut away any of that beautiful patterned paper.  I cut the image out three times and glued them together to give it some dimension and I also popped it up even more with some form tape.

Stamp Set:  Reason for the Season - sentiment (Stampin' Up!)
Inks:  Ruby Red (Altenew); Vintage Photo (Tim Holtz)
Cardstock:  Blackberry Swirl (Bazzill Basics Paper); Oreo (Taylored Expressions); Very Vanilla (Stampin' Up!)
Patterned Paper:  (Authentique)
Dies:  Caroler Quartet (Cheapo Dies)
Other:  Rhinestone Basic Jewels (Stampin' Up!)

WWC191 - Charlotte's "All About" Occasions Challenge

Hello and a wonderful Wednesday to you all.  It's time for for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  This week Charlotte is hosting "All About Occasions" challenge.

While putting this card together, I forgot to write down all of the different supplies I used, so, I'll share what I remember.  The stamp set I used is the Build-A-Flower:  Rose from Altenew.  I know that I used various inks from Altenew, Stampin' Up! and some Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  The sentiment is from the Cutting Edge - Flowers stamp set by Taylored Expressions.  I used a black card base and added a layer of white to which I added some splatters.  I did pop the flowers and leaves up on foam tape.  And that, as they say, is that.

The Sisterhood of Crafters - Cute Spooks

Hello and Happy Wednesday to all!  It's time for another challenge from The Sisterhood of Crafters.  This week Terri is our host and she has chosen "Cute Spooks" as the challenge theme.

This one was a true challenge for me as I don't have any cute spook type of stamps.  So, I used some Graphic 45 patterned paper and found two small stamps that were in a box a friend gave me and stamped a dangling spider and the legs of witch for my spook feature.  I hope it works.

Addicted To Stamps and More #313 - Holiday

Hello everyone!  It's Holiday challenge time at Addicted to Stamps & More Challenge.  This is a card I made when I attended the new release party at Taylored Expressions.  It so nice to have a local rubber stamp company in my own back yard.  I try to take classes as often as I can and I rarely miss a release party.  They are always so much fun.

A bit of stamping, a die-cut, some foam tape and here is a perfect masculine holiday card.  Oh, and I love that new Cilantro ink color.  So, what do you think of the buffalo plaid moose?

Stamp Sets:  Buffalo Plaid Background, Pine Bough Background, Hand-lettered Holiday (Taylored Expressions)
Inks:  Cilantro, Oreo (Taylored Expressions)

Today I'm featuring the new Elf Boot Home Die along with the Christmas Ornament Die I showcased last week.  I had cut out two of them and colored this one and thought it would look nice with the Elf Boot Die.  It does.  The boot die is actually three layers of cardstock to give it some dimension.  Putting it on foam tape was not an option.

The Sisterhood of Crafters - Fall is in the Air

Hello and Happy Wednesday to all!  It's time for another challenge from The Sisterhood of Crafters.  This week I am your host and the theme is Fall is in the Air.  So, show us what you think of when you think of Fall.

With Autumn (Fall) officially here, the weather has turned cooler and some of the leaves are starting to change.  My card was made from an older Paper Pumpkin kit.  Fall is my favorite time of the year and what could be better than a shaker card made with some pretty Fall colors.  I laid the card down in the second photo so you could see the different colors and shapes of the sequins I used.

A Pumpkin and A Crow

Happy Friday everyone!  Today starts my new journey as a Design Team member for Cheapo Dies.  I'll be here every Friday to share a new die with you so I hope to see you again.  In the meantime, be sure to take time to check out all the different dies they have available.  You can see them HERE.

My card today features the Pumpkin & Crow Die.  There is so much you can do with it but I decided to make a silhouette and added it to Halloween colors.  It's for my oldest son who considers Halloween his holiday.  Too funny.  I did cut the image out three times and stacked them to get some dimension.  I also covered it with Clear Wink of Stella.  The patterned papers are from Graphic 45 and ones I had left over from other projects.  I really like how that Copper Glimmer Paper sparkles around the edges of the card.  It's all mounted on a black card base.

Stamp:  None
Ink:  None
Cardstock:  Oreo (Taylored Expressions); Copper Glimmer Paper (Stampin' Up!)
Patterned Paper:  Place in Time (Graphic 45)
Dies:  Pumpkin & Crow Die (Cheapo Dies)
Other:  Clear Wink of Stella Brush

WWC188 - Helen's Masculine "Anything Goes" Challenge

Happy Wednesday!  It's time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  This week Helen is your host for our Masculine "Anything Goes" challenge.  My youngest grandson has a birthday coming up and he'll be nine years old, which doesn't seem possible.

The images and sentiments were stamped with Jet Black ink then, colored with Prismacolor colored pencils.  The little bow tie was stamped using Persian Blue ink.  I added a small rhinetone to the center of it for just a touch of sparkle.

The stamp set used is this month's club set from Maymay Made It.  It's called Heads & Tails.  It has a couple of dog images and a couple of cat images along with several sentiments that curve to fit between the front and back of the dog or cat.  It's a cute set and I can see me using it often.

Stamp Set:  Heads & Tails (Maymay Made It)
Inks:  Jet Black, Persian Blue (Altenew)
Prismacolor Colored Pencils:  Grass Green, True Blue, Canary Yellow, Crimson Red, Sienna Brown
Cardstack:  Garden Green (Stampin' Up!); Sugar Cube (Taylored Expressions)

WWC187 - Kath's "All About Occasions" Challenge

Happy Wednesday!  It's time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  This week Kath is your host for our "All About Occasions" challenge.  Last week I had the fun of attending Taylored Expressions 10th birthday party.  There were lots of new products to look over and yummy cupcakes to eat.  Thankfully, they were the miniature variety.  There was also a make 'n take and that is the card I'm sharing with you today.

The balloons are one of her new stencils and so easy to use.  These balloons are so bright and cheerful.  The sentiment is a die-cut that has a shadow layer of vellum behind it.  Would you believe I actually hand drew the balloon strings?  I did!  I'm not known for being great with a pen but I'm really pleased at the way these turned out.
