A Good Day

One of the new challenges I've discovered is the Retro Rubber Challenge.  I like that they require you to use a stamp set that is a year old or older.  It's letting me pull out some that I really like and create with them again.  The "old" stamp I used is Feeling Sentimental from 2013.  It fit the bicycle theme from The Paper Players perfectly.

The card base is Whisper White.  In the upper right corner, I stamped the sun from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set in Daffodil Delight ink.  The grass is from the In the Meadow stamp set and stamped using Pear Pizzazz ink.  The bicycle from Feeling Sentimental stamp set and the sentiment from the Happy Home stamp set were both stamped using Basic Black Archival ink.  The cobble stone street or sidewalk, was made by embossing some Whisper White cardstock with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder.  Then, I sponged over it using Tim Holtz's Fired Brick distress ink from Ranger.

The sketch I used is from the Retro Rubber Challenge.  For all the challenge details, click the image below.

  5. Marsha, well done with combining the challenges! I adore the entire set "Feeling Sentimental"... so very retro feeling! I am so glad that you found Retro Rubber. We love all of our older stamp sets in addition to the new ones soon to be made available June 1st. Using the brick to give a inlaid texture to a sidewalk or street was brilliant. Thanks so much for including Retro Rubber in your stamping fun. Hope to see you in our gallery often!!!
