I'll Be Back!

Hello everyone.  As you can see I've not posted in a while but I wanted to let you know that I'm simply taking a short break.  Now that I'm no longer committed to a challenge blog, I've been getting some projects done around the house.

But, never fear, I will be sharing some fun new projects in the weeks to come.  And, I'll be joining in on some of my favorite challenges.

I'll be seeing you all soon,

Marsha

WWC335 - Heidi's Challenge: Celebrating the End!

As you may have already read on the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge, we will be closing our challenge.  This is our final challenge and I do so hope you will join us in "Celebrating the End".  It's a sad time for Heidi, Kath and myself as we have been with the challenge from the beginning.  We've enjoyed working with all of our past and present team members.  I'm going to miss seeing all of your lovely creations.  Sigh... it's hard to let it go but after seven years, it was time.  Keep on creating and sharing that creativity with others.

For my project I did an Overlapping Fun Fold card.  It was a really fun card to make and I plan to make a few more.  I happened across Lisa Curcio's blog and that's where I got the idea for this fun fold card.  If you want to watch her video on how to create this card, click HERE.  I used some new stamps and dies I recently purchased from Honey Bee Stamps and Simon Says Stamp.  They worked together well, don't you think?

WWC334 - Helen's Challenge: All About Occasions

Valentine's Day is fast approaching and the current Spellbinders Hot Foil Kit of the Month was ideal for making a fun card.  Yes, the heart and the sentiment are foiled but it sure doesn't show up in the photo.  It's a gray, overcast day here in Iowa and there was just no getting a good photo.  Rather frustrating given the fact I do have a Shot Box but don't have it hooked up.  I think I need to get that done so my photos look a wee bit better.

It's time for another All About Occasions challenge over on the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  So, come on over and show us what you've been creating.

WWC333 - Dawn's Challenge: All About Occasions

Today I have a very simple design to share with you.  I love these little birds, especially the one hanging upside down.  I've been wanting to use this stamp set as it was a gift from a dear friend.  It's All About Occasions at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week and a thinking of you card fits perfectly.

WWC332 - Tristan's Challenge: All Things Feminine

Hello and Happy New Year!  My first card of the year is another silhouette from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  I love silhouettes and have several of their stamps as you may remember seeing others I have created.  This one is a particular favorite as I love swans and actually collect swans.  I have brass ones, porcelain ones and even a set of pictures.  Yes, I really do love swans.

If the gold pearls seem odd, it's because there is a wee bit of black ink under the top set.  The ink was not quite dry when I cut the size down and it smeared.  Sigh... so we have gold clusters around the sentiment.
