Toadstool

Hello and another Happy Friday to all of you!  Today I'm sharing a card I made using a new die from Cheapo Dies.  I'll be here every Friday to share a new die with you, so I hope to see you again soon.  In the meantime, be sure to take time to check out all the different dies that are available.  They are good quality and you just can't beat the price.  I know you'll love them as much as I.  You can find them HERE.

Today's card features the cute Toadstool Die.  The toadstool was cut from Cajun Craze, Soft Suede and Garden Green cardstock.  After adding a bit of color to a layer of white cardstock, I stamped the butterflies sentiment and face using Charcoal Suit ink.  The butterflies were colored with Prismacolor Colored Pencils and Gamsol then given a coat of sparkle using a Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen.  For the finishing touch, I added rhinestones to the toadstool.

Stamp Sets:  Friendly Faces, Buggy Love (Maymay Made It)
Inks:  Firefly, Caribbean Sky, Caramel Toffee, Charcoal Suit (Altenew)
Cardstock:  Cajun Craze, Garden Green, Soft Suede (Stampin' Up!); Sugar Cube, Oreo (Taylored Expressions)
Dies:  toadstool Die (Cheapo Dies)
Other:  Rhinestone Basic Jewels (Stampin' Up!); Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen

WWC209 - Marsha's Masculine "Anything Goes" Challenge

Hello and welcome to Wednesday and another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  This week I'm your host for our Masculine "Anything Goes" challenge.  I have bunch of birthdays coming up and they are mostly for the men in my life.  Since this has to go in the mail and travel a bit of a distance, I kept it very clean and simple.

I started with a Crumb Cake card base to which I added a layer of Early Espresso cardstock.  On a piece of Very Vanilla, I stamped the dots, the sentiment and sponged around the edges all in Frayed Burlap Distress ink.  I cut the mustache out of Crumb Cake and embossed the die-cut using the Weathered embossing folder.  On the inside of the card I added a layer of Very Vanilla cardstock to be able to write a short note to the recipient.  And that, as they say, is that.

Stamp Sets:  Build-A-Flower: Hyacinth - dots (Altenew); Stitched Stems - sentiment (Taylored Expressions)
Ink:  Frayed Burlap Distress Ink (Tim Holtz)
Cardstock:  Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla (Stampin' Up!)
Dies:  Mustache Die - retired (Stampin' Up!)
Other:  Weathered Embossing Folder (Taylored Expressions)

Heart Frame

Hello and another Happy Friday to all of you!  Today I'm sharing a card I made using a new die from Cheapo Dies.  I'll be here every Friday to share a new die with you, so I hope to see you again soon.  In the meantime, be sure to take time to check out all the different dies that are available.  They are good quality and you just can't beat the price.  I know you'll love them as much as I.  You can find them HERE.

Today's card features the Heart Frame Die.  There aren't too many cards I need to make for Valentine's Day but this one was a perfect one for my stash.  This die would also be pretty for a wedding card, too.

On a Petal Pink card base, I added a layer of patterned paper.  I cut each heart out of a different color from the Bold Glam Glitter Solids Paper Pack and attached them to the top of the card.  I stamped the sentiment using Jet Black ink.  For the finishing touch I added a few pearls.

The photo does not show that glitter paper off at all.  It is a very pretty sparkly paper without the mess of glitter.  I really do love it!

Stamp Set:  Layered Leopard - sentiment (Maymay Made It)
Ink:  Jet Black (Altenew)
Cardstock:  Petal Pink (Stampin' Up!)
Patterned Paper:  Nature Garden (Prima Marketing Inc.)
Dies:  Heart Frame (Cheapo Dies)
Other:  Pearl Basic Jewels (Stampin' Up)
