Watercooler Wednesday Challenges #89

Welcome to this week's edition of the Watercooler Wednesday Challenges.  It's a color challenge and Penny chose some beautiful colors for us.  For the butterfly, I used Silver Embossing Powder on Soft Sky.  It's really pretty and adds a bit of a shimmer to the butterfly.  Then, I cut it out using the Butterflies Thinlits Dies, of which I've neglected lately.  It that what happens when you have too much craft stuff, you forget what you have?

Stamp Set:  Butterfly Basics; Inks:  Tip Top Taupe; Cardstock:  Soft Sky, Tip Top Taupe, Whisper White; Other:  Butterflies Thinlits Dies, Silver Embossing Powder

  1. Marsha I love your take on the sketch from CTS, it was perfect for this card. Your beautifully embossed butterfly looks gorgeous over that strip of honeycomb. This is such a simple yet elegant card and could be used for many occasions. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Thanks, Penny! I love the colors you chose for this challenge. Some of my favorite and of course, I had to use the butterfly.

  2. Way to go, combining the two challenges, Marsha. Love that butterfly. Heat embossing the silver onto the Sky Blue makes it so dainty and elegant. I love the way you've used the honeycomb image to create that one long strip. Simple but very elegant. Love it!
