This week we have a sketch challenge CAS Colours & Sketches and the Design Team has some wonderful inspiration to get you started. As you can see, rather than place my sentiment at the lower right, I put it on the tag. I wanted to keep it as clean and simple as I could. What you can't see in the photo are the two strips of sparkly washi tape on each end. It just does not want to photograph well. And, on top of that my digital camera is no longer working. I used my new cell phone and it didn't do a very good job.
Stamp Set: Colorful Seasons - sentiment (Stampin' Up!); Ink: Dapper Denim (Stampin' Up!); Cardstock: Sugar Cube (Taylored Expressions); Other: Tags, Scallop Combo #2 (Sizzix), 1/4" White Ribbon, Myths & Magic Specialty Washi Tape (Stampin' Up!)
For all the challenge details and to share your project, visit the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge by clicking the image below. We'd love to have you join us. You have until Monday, February 19th at 6:00 p.m. Central Time to link up your project.
Thanks for stopping in at the Coffee Pot Stamping Cafe,
I understand about camera issues and that sparkly cards are hard to photograph. I can imagine the sparkliness (is that a word?) of the tape since I have this washi tape! Pretty card Marsha - I love it!ReplyDelete
Thanks, Jeanne! My son gave me his and I'm trying to figure it out. If sparkliness isn't a word, it should be, right?Delete
I can just about see the sparkle and loving this super CAS take on the sketch. I debated putting my sentiment on the tag and you've made it work perfectly. Thanks so much for the inspiration and I think I might just *need* some of that sparkly Washi tape ;) Hugs Bev xReplyDelete
Thanks, Beverley! It's fantastic Washi tape. The silver star tape is very pretty.Delete
Trust me, I also understand how hard it can be to capture details like sparkle in a photo! I was able to see the sparkly tape when I clicked on the photo for a close up view. Even though sparkle tends to be considered a girly thing, I think this card is equally suitable to give to a man. Nicely done, Marsha!ReplyDelete
Thanks, Patricia! I'm glad the sparkly showed up. I do love sparkly!Delete
I hear you on the photography of sparkly things. Even so, this is a cute CAS card and I can just imagine the sparkle on the washi tape. xReplyDelete
Thanks, Fiona! Metallics are another that are hard to photograph.Delete
Great idea to use the washi tape and I like how you have put the sentiment on the tag to keep the card nice and CAS!ReplyDelete
Wonderful card! Love the color choices and all the sparkle! Beautifully CAS!ReplyDelete
Such a great card.ReplyDelete
