Altenew Educator Certificattion Program Level 1 Challenge

Wow!  Here I am for the Level 1 final challenge of the Altenew Educator Certification Program.  With  all that has been going on in the past couple of weeks I'm so very glad I've reached today.

My challenge was to created a set of six cards that would be appropriate for a male to give using components from three of the classes I took in Level 1.  The components I chose were All About Layering 1/2, Easy Die Cutting Techniques and Celebrations:  Stencil Techniques.

The first step was stamping the image I chose to use for the six cards.  The outline image was stamped from the Build-A-Flower:  Poppy stamp set using Jet Black ink.

Then, I chose a different color for each flower using these ink families from Altenew:  Lapis Lazuli, Enchanted Garden, Delectable Delights, Floral Ink Set, Sunflower Field, Golden Sunset, Gentleman's Gray and Green Valley.  Once stamped, I used the matching dies to cut them out.

After the flowers were all done, I used the Wavy Grid Stencil to create a background for the flowers.  Then, stamped a sentiment on each one.  Each card has a different sentiment.

Here's a close up of one of the cards.  After the stenciling was done, I added some small spatters before gluing the layer to the black card base..

I used foam tape to attach the flowers to the card front.  Yes, I know, I use a lot of it.  But as you can see, I buy a big roll of it.

Here is a view of all six cards.  Each has a different color and sentiment. And, here we have all six of the finished cards.  There is a birthday card, a thank you card, a just a note card, an I love you card, a thinking of you card and a Happy Mother's Day card.

I also included the envelopes and stamped one of the small flower images from the stamp set on the back of the envelope using Jet Black ink.

I placed the cards and envelopes in a recycled acetate box and wrapped some twine around the box.

It was a fun set to create and I think I'm going to gift this to my son so he has some cards to give his wife throughout the year.

Thanks for visiting today and I look forward to seeing you again at the Coffee Pot Stamping Cafe.
