Before I head out to spend the day running errands, I wanted to share this very cool project I made last night in a class at Memory Bound, my favorite local craft store. It's a technique similar to the one I use for my photo transfer canvases. Now I have a new way of covering my canvases. I can't wait to make some of these up for gifts! Thanks, Maggie, for such a great class.
Two-sided patterned paper was used. Butterflies were on one side and stripes were on the other. It took less than two hours to make this canvas.
Well, time to get tripping all over those errands. Hope you all have a mighty fine day!
Thanks for stopping in at the Coffee Pot Stamping Cafe,

I Love Spray Webbing!
Oh yeah, you got that right! Tuesday night found me at my local craft store taking a mixed media class that showed us how to use the spray webbing. It was so much fun. I learned a lot and I now feel more confident about creating mixed media. I can't wait until next month's class!
We used flowers cut from aluminum cans. The birds and tree limb are cut from cereal boxes. The background is a piece of brown paper sack adhered to a 5" x 7" canvas. Once the paint on the background was dry, we sprayed the webbing. I thought it would be heavier and thicker but it isn't and gives a very cool texture to the paper. I'll be making more of these in the future. I see Christmas gifts happening. :-)

A New Graphic 45 A Place in Time Card
Today was class night at Memory Bound for the September Graphic 45 Card Set. Janet, our instructor, came up with more beautiful designs. She makes it so easy to be creative. It was so much fun! Where else can you make fantastic cards and get rewarded with chocolate? We all had a great time and came away with six new cards to send to family and friends.
With school back in session and Autumn just around the corner, these cards are perfect for the time of year. I wasn't able to get a group picture, so over the next several days I'll showcase each card. I'm already looking forward to next month's class.
Until next time. . .happy creating!
