It's a Little Yellow Chick

Today I thought I'd share a sneak peek of one of the 2016 Sale-A-Bration stamp sets called Honeycomb Happiness.  I feel for this little chick the minute I saw him.  He's so cute!  The set also includes an ice cream cone and a balloon.  And, from the 2016 Occasions Catalog, the Honeycomb Embellishments.  They come in Whisper White, Mint Macaron and Blushing Bride.  I used a Whisper White to which I added touches of Daffodil Delight.  The Occasions Catalog and the Sale-A-Bration Catalog are set to launch January 5th.  If you'd like catalogs of your own, let me know and I'll be sure to get one right to you.

Stamp Set:  Honeycomb Happiness (2016 SAB); Inks:  Basic Black Archival, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango; Cardstock:  Whisper White Thick; Accessories & Tools:  Honeycomb Embellishments, Blender Pen, Stampin' Trimmer

The sketch I used is from CAS(E) this Sketch!

Mother's Day in Crushed Curry

The other day while browsing through some card designs, I came across the one I CASEd for my next Mother's Day card.  Simple Stems is one of the sets from the Occasions Catalog.  I'm going to be sad to see it go when the catalog retires on June 1st.  It's a great flower stamp set.

For this card, I used a monochromatic theme with the exception of the flower stem.  Everything is stamped with a varying degree of Crushed Curry.  To get the lighter shade, I simply stamped on a scratch paper to remove the heaviest of the ink.

Stamp Sets:  Simple Stems, Gorgeous Grunge, Teeny Tiny Wishes (Stampin' Up!); Inks:  Crushed Curry, Gumball Green (Stampin' Up!); Card Stock:  Crushed Curry, Whisper White (Stampin' Up!); Accessories & Tools:  Rhinestones, 3/16" Corner Rounder
