Wacky Watercooler Spring Fever Blog Hop

Welcome to our February Spring Fever Blog Hop.  Each month, on the third Thursday of the month, a group of us get together to hop and share projects from Stampin' Up!'s current catalogs.  It's always a lot of fun.  Today's hop is all about Spring and I must say that this week in Iowa, with 60 degree temperatures, it's going to feel very springlike.

You should be coming to my blog from Kath Ricks.  After your visit with me, head on over to Libby Fens.  And, as always, our Hop runs in a circle.  Whether you start at the top and go forward or start at the bottom and go backward, you will always wind up where you started.

With 60 degree temperatures here in Iowa for the next eight days, it's definitely feeling like Spring.  I'm just hoping that we don't get a nasty March snowstorm.  It's been known to happen.

The projects I made all feature some aspect of Spring.  It could be through a word or a flower or a vibrant color.

Retro Sketches 154

Sunshine.  Blue sky.  Whatever am I doing indoors on a day like this?  Well, let me tell you.  It's only 9 degrees out there and there is no way I'm braving the cold for any reason!  With that decision made, I sat down at my craft table and got busy.  I now have my projects made and my post created for the launch of the Wacky Watercooler Stamping Blog Hop.  Be sure to tune back in at 8 p.m. Central Standard Time to see all the creative projects we have for you.

And, I made this cute little 4x4 card to send to a friend who really did "made my day."  It also gave me the opportunity to use one of the new Sale-A-Bration stamp sets that came in my order, Best Day Ever.

Stamp Set:  Best Day Ever; Inks:  Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry; Card Stock:  Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools:  What's Up Punch, 1-3/4" Scalloped Circle Punch, Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim, Rich Razzleberry Button (retired), Linen Thread, Glue Dots, SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Trimmer

I used the great sketch from the current Retro Sketches Challenge #154.

The Wacky Watercooler Welcome 2015 Blog Hop

Hello!  Welcome to our first blog hop of the new year.  We are, again, CASEing a past favorite project from a fellow Watercooler Hopper, a favorite from current products and just an "anything goes" favorite.  With the new Occasions Catalog and the new Sale-A-Bration Catalog, there were many favorites to choose from.

My first card is a CASE (Copy And Share Everything) for Marie Green's Secret Garden.  It was featured in the Occasions Catalog in 2013.  Although it has retired, it remains one of my favorites and one that I still use often.  I changed mine up some since I didn't have the stamp set she used for the sentiment and I used different flowers from the Secret Garden stamp set.  The sentiment on my card is from the Oh Hello stamp set that was also featured in the 2013 Occasions Catalog.

Stamp Sets:  Secret Garden (retired), Oh Hello (retired); Inks:  Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi; Blendabilities:  Coastal Cabana; Card Stock:  Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools:  Honeycomb Embossing Folder, Top Note Bigz Die, Circles Collection Framelits Dies, Secret Garden Framelits Dies (retired), Elegant Butterfly Punch, Pearls Basic Jewels, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive

Here is the card that was made by Marie Green.  She does make some beautiful cards.  It was fun to browse through her blog to find one of her designs to CASE.

One of my current favorites from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog is the Lotus Blossom.  There is so much you can do with it but due to limited time and space, I just can't show you all the neat ideas I've seen using this stamp set.

Stamp Set:  Lotus Blossom; Inks:  Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder; Card Stock:  Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder, Very Vanilla; Accessories & Tools:  1/8" Silver Ribbon, Frosted Sequins (clearance), Glue Dots, Multipurpose Glue, SNAIL Adhesive, Dimensionals

For my "anything goes" project, I stayed with the Lotus Blossom stamp set but added a layer of one of the designs from the new Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper.  While working on my blog projects, I'm also making 24 swap cards for my local demo meeting this evening.  We chose which stamp set we were going to use either from the Occasions Catalog or from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog.  I chose the Lotus Blossom set for my swap cards.  Both of these are what they will get tonight.

Stamp Sets:  Lotus Blossom, Painted Petals (sentiment); Inks:  Garden Green, Rose Red, Tuxedo Black Memento; Card Stock:  Garden Green, Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi; Accessories & Tools:  Pearl Basic Jewels, Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive

Well, that's all there is from me.  Now it's time to go see what Kath Ricks has created to inspire you.  She always makes such lovely projects and is so talented.
