Just a Note

The CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge is having a Design Team call and, since I love this challenge, I got to work and made this bright, cheerful note card to enter in the challenge.  I used the challenge colors of Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lime Twist and Night of Navy.  I love how that Lemon Lime Twist patterned paper makes the flowers pop, don't you?

Stamp Set:  Stitched Stems Stamp & Die Combo (Taylored Expressions); Inks:  Basic Black Archival, Sugar Cube; Cardstock:  Flirty Flamingo, Night of Navy, Sugar Cube; Patterned Paper:  Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper (Stampin' Up!); Other:  Stitched Rectangle Stacklets Dies (Taylored Expressions), Stitched Stems Stamp & Die Combo (Taylored Expressions)

The colors I used are from the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge.  For all the challenge details and to share your project, click the image below.

Hooray Grad!

It's graduation time and what better way to make a fun card than to combine three of my favorite challenges.  Yes, men do like pink!  And, somewhere out there someone's school colors might match the colors I used on my card.  You just never know.

Stamp Set:  Pockets of Cheer; Ink:  Rich Razzleberry; Cardstock:  Rich Razzleberry, Sahara Sand; Patterned Paper:  2016-18 In Colors Designer Series Paper Stack;  Other:  Stars Framelits Dies, White Blizzard Glitter Drops (Nuvo)

The sketch I used is from the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.  For all the challenge details and to share your project, click the image below.

Watercooler Wednesday Challenges #105

This week it's a color challenge at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  As host this week, I thought some springlike colors would be a nice change to the snowy, wet, cold winter days many of us have been experiencing.  Whether you make flowers is up to you as this is a color challenge and the only requirement.  I was in the mood for flowers as I am so ready for Spring.

My card starts with a Very Vanilla card base to which I added a strip of patterned paper from the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack.  The flowers and leaves were cut using the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies.  For my colors, I chose Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach and Rich Razzleberry for the flowers.  For the leaves, I chose Mint Macaron and Mossy Meadow.  On the Mint Macaron leaves, I stamped an image from the Botanical Blooms stamp set.  To the center of each flower I added a Metal Rimmed Pearl.  The sentiment is from the Rose Wonder stamp set and is stamped in Basic Black Archival ink.

For all the challenge details and to share your project, visit Watercooler Wednesday Challenges by clicking the image below.  We'd love to have you join us.  You have until Monday, February 13th at 6:00 p.m. Central Time to link your project.

Not Enough Hours in the Day!

Busy season is gearing up for me and while I have created some new projects, I've not had time to take photos.  I have a class tonight and a two day vendor show this weekend so my focus has been on those.  Wednesday I'll share the cards we made for our Birthday Extravaganza Class.  In the meantime, enjoy some more of God's art.

Fall is my favorite time of the year.  I love the color changes and that special smell of fall.

Color Me Beautiful Color Challenge #1

A new challenge blog, Color Me Beautiful!, started up last Friday so I thought I'd check it out and see if it would be something I might find interesting.  Oh yeah!  It's going to be a fun one and I'm definitely going to try to follow it weekly.  And, they picked some of my favorite colors for the very first challenge.

I wanted to try to use all five of the colors.  It was a challenge to figure out just how much of what color to use and where to use it.  Here is the card I designed using all of the colors.  The photo does not do justice to the card.  Lately my photos have not be all that good.  I'm blaming the camera and going to ask for a new one for Christmas.

Stamp Set(s):  Everything Eleanor, You Are Loved; Ink(s):  Perfect Plum, VersaMark; Card Stock:  Basic Gray, Lucky Limeade, Perfect Plum, Rich Razzleberry, Wisteria Wonder; Accessories & Tools:  3/8" Ruffled Ribbon/Wisteria Wonder, Dazzling Details/Silver Sparkle, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Stampin' Emboss Powder/Clear, Crystal Effects, Mini Glue Dots, Little Leaves Sizzlits, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine

To see the inspiration for their color choices, click the following, Color Me Beautiful!  It will take you right to the blog and you, too, may want to accept their challenges.

Yesterday was unexpectedly child-free, so not only did I get my challenge card made, I finished my swap cards and had a chance to spend some time with my upline, Andrea.  I always enjoy time with her.
