What a wonderful surprise!

This morning my oldest son, Wayne, sent me a text asking if I was working or at home.  When I said I was home, he said okay, I'll be there in about an hour.  I figured he was bringing over the joy stick to the Atari he gave me.  Yes, it's an old game console but I do hold the family record in Asteroids!

He said he had something else and went back out to the car to get it.  He walked in with a 39" VIZIO Flat Screen TV!  He grinned at me and said, "Happy Mother's Day!"  Of course, I started to cry and he said he knew that would happen and just gave me a big hug.

Thank you, Wayne, for such a wonderful Mother's Day gift!  My three sons are the best and I am one blessed mother.

Heart Canvas

Over the past couple of weeks, I've been doing some early spring house cleaning.  While going through some boxes stored in my closet, I found three 6x6 canvases that a friend had given me.  I love the mixed media canvases and I made this one for my granddaughter's room.

Stamp: Trust God; Ink: Raspberry Ripple; Card Stock:  Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette, Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack/River Rock; Accessories & Tools:  Hearts Collection Framelits, Full Heart Punch, Small Heart Punch, Bitty Buttons, Mini Brads/Silver, Linen Thread, Mini Glue Dots, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Craft Paint

Now I'm off to make something for the grandsons.  Since it snowed yesterday and today is bitter cold, I plan to stay in where it is warm and cozy.

Family Frame

For this frame I paired the Bravo Burgundy Card Stock with some Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (retired).  The word family was attached with Mini Glue Dots.  Now I'm in the mood to make some new greeting cards.  It will be a nice change from all the gifts I've been making.

New Post It Note & Pen Holders

This Saturday is my last craft show of the year and while I do enjoy them, they can be very tiring.  I am low on so many things that I've been in a creative frenzy trying to get new projects completed.  Since my time is limited, I'm keeping my posts short this week.  So, here are the new post it note holders I made today.  Well, here are six of the twelve I made.

Stamps:  Tags Til Christmas, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Joy (retired), Itty Bitty Backgrounds (retired); Inks:  Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler; Card Stock:  Raspberry Ripple, Always Artichoke, Primrose Petals, Gumball Green; Accessories & Tools:  Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Dazzling Details/Silver, Stampin' Dimensionals

Quick, easy and a great stocking stuffer or gift.

Gift Tag Make & Takes

Tomorrow I'll share a few pictures of my display at the Can Do Cancer Fundraiser in which I participated.  Today, I'm featuring the gift tag Make & Take we made.  It's from a design inspired by Linda Creech.

Due to time constraints, I had most of the work done.  But, they stamped the image, punched out the label and assembled the project.

Here is a photo of the gift tag examples I made.  I used scraps of card stock but the colors for the ones made at the event were Wild Wasabi, Real Red and Very Vanilla.  The image and sentiment were stamped onto Very Vanilla and punched using the Decorative Label Punch.  The ones we made Friday were all embossed using the Square Lattice Folder like the one on the right.

Stamp(s):  Four Frames, Tiny Tags; Ink(s):  Lucky Limeade, Real Red; Wild Wasabi; Card Stock:  Pear Pizzazz, Real Red, Very Vanilla; Accessories & Tools:  Label Collection Framelits, Decorative Label Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, 1/16" Circle Punch, 1/8" Mini Brads/Silver, Baker's Twine/Whisper White, Mini Glue Dots, Paper-Piercing Tool, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Snowburst Embossing Folder (retired), Snow Flurries Folder

Cute little tags to add to that gift bag.  They were fun to make.

A Birthday Gift

Last night my upline, Andrea, took me out to dinner for my birthday.  We decided to do BBQ.  Yum, my favorite!  When we were deciding whether to have dessert, Andrea let it be known to our server, Stephanie, that we were celebrating my birthday.  After we ordered dessert, we shared a brownie a la mode, Stephanie brought it to the table along with this cute and cleaver little gift!  Mini Tootsie Pops in a red bandana vase and so appropriate as the restaurant is called Bandana's.

I'm going to take it with me on Sunday when I go to my youngest son's for Easter dinner.  There are just enough for each of us to have one.  The grandkids are going to love it!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This week I was challenged to write a Limerick, which are one of my favorite to write.  Since I have a few days left in April and May to schedule Workshops, this one came to mind.  In April we'll make Mother's Day cards and in May we'll make Father Day's cards.
