Hope Today is a Good Day

It's always a good day when I spend it in my craft room.  Today found me trying to decide what to do with these pretty roses I made last night.  What you see is the finished card.  The roses are from the Bold Blossom stamp set from Altenew.  I love the layered stamps they have and this is my first time using this stamp set.  I love how these roses turned out.

Stamp Sets:  Bold Blossom (Altenew); Clear Mini Stamps/Mini (Inkadinkadoo)
Inks:  Poppy Seed, Chocolate Truffle (Taylored Expressions)
Distress Oxide Inks:  Wild Honey, Frayed Burlap, Spiced Marmalade, Fired Brick (Tim Holtz)
Cardstock:  Sugar Cube, Oreo (Taylored Expressions); Fresh Fig, Tangerine Tango (Stampin' Up!)
Dies:  Bold Blossom Die (Altenew); Hope Die (Taylored Expressions)
Other:  Calypso Coral Baker's Twine (Stampin' Up!)

Today's card was made for the Paper Players Challenge.  For all the challenge details and to share your project, click the image below.

Flowers of Hope

Ever have one of those days when you just need to cheer yourself up?  That's been my today.  I have some stressful days and weeks ahead of me and something that always cheers me up and gives me hope are pretty flowers. I made these using one of my favorite stamp sets, Bloomin' Birthday Stamp & Die Combo by Taylored Expressions.

Usually, when I use my Distress Oxide Inks, I add water but today I simply stamped the colors and made these pretty flowers.  I love the way these inks look even without the addition of water.

Stamp Set:  Bloomin' Birthday Stamp & Die Combo (Taylored Expressions); Distress Oxide Inks:  Faded Jeans, Fired Brick, Peeled Paint, Wild Honey; Cardstock:  Night of Navy (Stampin' Up!), Sugar Cube (Taylored Expressions); Other:  Sugar Cube Enamel Dots, Sunshine Wishes Dies (Stampin' Up!)

The sketch I used are from the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge.  It's the second step in their Design Team process.  For all the challenge details and to share your project, click the image below.

Hope

Friday was the first day of Autumn but you wouldn't know it in Iowa.  Our temperatures were in the 90s and it was so hot and humid that it was down right tropical outside.  Me?  I stayed in over the weekend and made more cards in my nice air conditioned craft room.  I'm always happy whenever I can spend time creating.

Today's card was made for the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge.  The card base is Sugar Cube cardstock to which I added a Crumb Cake die cut made using the Wreath Cutting Plate by Taylored Expressions.  The feathers were first stamped using Frost VersaMark Dazzle Watermark Stamp Pad onto Dapper Denim, Perfect Plum and Tranquil Tide card stock and cut them out using the dies from the Light as a Feather Stamp & Die Combo by Taylored Expressions.  The sentiment was stamped using Poppy Seed ink.

Today, I've entered my card in the following challenge.  For all the challenge details and to share your project, click the image below.

My Day of Rest and Worship

And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these if love.
