Wacky Watercooler March Blog Hop

Great day in the morning!  Or should I say evening since it is actually evening for me and time for a brand new Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop!  For this one we pulled out all the stops and will be showcasing all kinds of Stampin' Up!® products.

For my first card, I embossed some Pool Party Core'dinations Paper using the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder then, sanded the dots.  I was going to add some color to the dots but decided I wanted to showcase those cute flowers made with the Floral Fusions Sizzlits.  I'm liking that little die.  I'm not wild about the ribbon since I tried to age some Pool Party Seam Binding.  The photo doesn't do it justice but it did add a bit more contrast to the overall card.  And, the oval used to stamp the Oh, Hello sentiment from the Oh, Hello Stamp Set, was punched from one the tags on a sheet from the Etcetera Designer Series Paper.  It worked perfectly with the Extra Large Oval Punch.

Stamp Set:  Oh, Hello; Ink:  Night of Navy; Card Stock:  Night of Navy, Pool Party Core'dinations, Calypso Coral, Very Vanilla, Crushed Curry, Etcetera Designer Series Paper; Accessories & Tools:  Deocrative Dots Embossing Folder, Extra Large Oval Punch, Floral Fusions Sizzlits, Itty Bitty Punch Pack Flower, 1/2" Pool Party Seam Binding, Stampin' Dimensionals, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine

When I ordered the Etcetera Designer Series Paper, I wasn't sure I would like it.  I've changed my mind.  All of the different designs you see here are from that paper collection, even the flower I made using the new Spiral Flower Die.

Stamp Set:  Delightful Dozen; Ink:  Night of Navy; Card Stock:  Baked Brown Sugar, Very Vanilla, Calypso Coral, Old Olive, Etcetera Designer Series Paper; Accessories & Tools:  Adorning Accents Edgelits, Adorning Accents Embossing Folder, Secret Garden Framelits, Circles Colleciton Framelits, Spiral Flower Originals Die, Scallop Circle Punch, Pearl Basic Jewels, 2-Way Glue Pen, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine

I'll have you know that all the gold is not in California!  It's all over my third card.  I love those Gold Foil Sheets.  The other day I came across this butterfly HERE and wanted to give it a try but with a Stampin' Up!® twist.  Our Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape looks really good made into a butterfly.  I purposely didn't add a sentiment since I'm not sure just what occasion I'll be using this card for.

Card Stock:  Very Vanilla, Gold Foil Sheets, Whisper White, Vellum; Accessories & Tools:  Scallop Tag Topper Punch, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape, Gold Sequin Trim, Gold Baker's Twine, Antique Brads, Mini Glue Dots

  1. I love all your projects, Marsha. Every one is beautiful!

  2. Marsha, I NEED to know how you made that butterfly!! :) And the Decorative Dots on the Gold Foil - to die for! All your projects are just fabulous, as usual. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Thank you for sharing your projects!!! What a unique butterfly! !

  4. Awesome projects...they are absolutely beautiful.

  5. wow - what a great collection of projects, and your washi butterfly is truly inspired!

  6. Oh, my - that gold card is stunning! I love that Washi Tape but never thought of making a butterfly out it. Love how you highlighted the Etcetera DSP. I never even looked at it, now I'll check it out.

  7. Such lovely cards!!! I'm really in love with the new SAB embossing folder too! Great job!

  8. WOW, you sure have been one busy lady. Love them all, Marsha. :)

  9. I really love all of these cards! Now I have to buy the spiral die and the etcetera paper. That gold card is a wow!

  10. Etcetera is one of my favorites, too! Love your little flowers, and the gold card is beautiful!

  11. So many fun cards in so very different styles makes choosing a fav just a tad tricky. Love the shabby chic feel of the first (the floral fusion die really is a fav of mine), the color and pop of the second really sets up for the grand finale of the golden butterfly card. I'm so glad you shared the link for the butterfly. Now I can give that a try myself. Brilliant using vellum for the base of the Washi Tape. In person I bet it gives it more of the rice paper feel traditional washi has. Thanks for hopping yet again Miss Marsha...see you round the 'cooler!

  12. Marsha, your cards make me think of Spring and those are such welcome thoughts. I love the simplicity of the Floral Fusion flowers on your first card and the elegance of the Spiral Flower die bloom on your second card. They're each just perfect for the card you've used them on. I hadn't thought that I'd like the Etcetera DSP but it has surprised me. I like happy surprises and love your card. The final slow of gold is dazzling! I, too, love the Gold Foil and am glad it continued from the Holiday catalogue. That Decorative Dots embossing folder looks completely different used on the foil, doesn't it? My only complaint is that you've tantalized me with that butterfly but haven't included the instructions. It's on my CASE list but I'm not sure I can do that without some guidance (hint, hint). Thanks so much for sharing.

    1. BTW that's a show of gold, not a slow of gold. Sorry.
