Watercooler Wednesday Challenge#61

It's "Anything Goes" week at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges.  Since I needed another birthday card, it was a perfect project for the challenge.

The card base is white to which I added a layer from the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper.  On the Whisper White layer, I added a strip of patterned paper from Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper.  Above that I stamped a teacup from the A Nice Cuppa stamp set in Mint Macaron ink.  The heart is also from A Nice Cuppa stamp set and stamped using Cajun Craze ink.  The birthday sentiment is from the Perfect Pairings Sale-A-Bration stamp set and also stamped using Cajun Craze ink.  I wrapped a double strand of Whisper White Baker's Twine around the layer and tied a bow.  A Rhinestone Basic Jewel added to the heart finished it off.

  1. I love how you used the busy pattern of this dsp, Marsha! Also the strip below the cup; just perfect. I always have trouble with big patterns, but you've shown me how to tame them! :)

    1. Thanks, Deborah! Big patterns can be a problem. I've found that adding a layer of white over them seems to somehow tone them down. I guess the bright of the white pops more than the big pattern.
