Watercooler Wednesday Challenges #74

It's Theme week at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges and I'm hosting an it's all about "tags".  It can be a tag or a tag on a card (like what I made) or a tag on a tag or a tag on a bag.  It just has to be a tag or show a tag.  So, now that you know what you need to do, tag, you're it!

This card is a bit of an odd shape given I wanted to get three of the tags on the card.  The card base is 7" x 4" made out of Very Vanilla cardstock.  I added a layer of Basic Black and the tags on top and popped them up with Dimensionals.  The tags are cut out of Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper.  The center tag is the reverse of the other tags.  Across the tags I added a strip of printed vellum from the Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum Stack.  At the top of each tag, I added a little bit of Gold Baker's Twine.  The butterfly is cut from the cut from Basic Black and Very Vanilla using the Butterflies Thinlits Dies and the Bold Butterfly Framelits Dies.  I layered the black one onto the vanilla one.  For the flower, I used the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies and cut it out of Pool Party card stock.  The brad is one I've had for a while and I think it's Island Indigo.  It's one of the In Color Polka Dot Brads but I can't remember the year.

  1. Thanks for hosting and choosing the "tag" theme for this week's challenge Marsha. I find your card very inspiring. I also like the different size of card. Sometimes it's nice to have a longer card base and it certainly holds those tags nicely. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Thanks, Penny! I don't often deviate from an A2 but as you say, it's nice once in a while to do something different.

  2. Thanks for the great theme Marsha! This is such an interesting card using the tags as a background. Very clever and as Penny says "inspiring".
