The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge - Frames

Hi everyone!  It's the first challenge of the new year from The Sisterhood of Crafters.  This week Diane is our host and she has challenged us to use frames in our designs.  Given the fact that I need several thank you cards, I pulled out one of my favorite dies and got to work.

First, I stamped the thank you sentiment in Blue Corn ink by Taylored Expressions.  It's from the So Very Much stamp set from Stampin' Up!  Then, I embossed the panel using the Brick Embossing Folder by Taylored Expressions.  From a pieced of patterned paper from the Playful Patterns - Savory Paper Pack from Taylored Expressions, I cut my frame using the Frame in Frame 2 Cutting Plate, also from Taylored Expressions, and popped it up on foam tape to "frame" the thank you.  What you can't see are the few drops of Glossy Accents I added to the brick panel.  It's a very clean and simple design but I do love how that sentiment stands out.

  4. A wonderful CAS card! I love the brick background and I can see the dew drops. I forget to emboss after stamping, but it's a nice result. Thanks for reminding me!

    1. Thanks, Leslie! I don't emboss often and I really should. It gives such a great look to the design.
