Crafty Calendar Challenge - Autumn Colors

It's the first Saturday of November and you know that means it's time for our November challenge at Crafty Calendar.   Our theme is all about Autumn Colors.  And, for this challenge, you can use any stamp or image you wish.

This is one of the cards I made in the Fall Shine class taught by Lori Craig of Imagination International.  It was one of the classes offered at the Taylored Expressions Stamp Joy 2017 event.  As you can see we did some stenciling and some rock and roll stamping.  I wish the photo did this justice as the card is very pretty.

Watercooler Wednesday Challenge #143 - Gail's Feminine "Anything Goes"

This week Gail is hosting our Feminine "Anything Goes" Challenge at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  I'm sharing one of the cards I made at a class I attended at Taylored Expressions Stamp Joy 2017.  Actually, in the coming days you will see more of the wonderful cards I made at the event.  It was a day and a half of fun filled creating.

This card is from the Fall Shine class that was taught by Lori Craig of Imagination International.  The flowers and feathers were painted rather than inked.  While all but one feather was done for us, we were able to play with the Turquoise Chalk Color and the Timbrillo Paste.  We mixed the Timbrillo Paste into the Turqouise Chalk Color and applied it to card stock and let it dry.  That didn't take long at all.  Then, we cut out the feather.  The next step was to sand that feather which allowed the sparkle of the Timbrillo Paste to shine through.  I do hope you can see it in the photo as it gives the most pretty glitter to the feathers and flowers.  It was a fantastic class!

Here is a close up view of the flowers and feathers.  Hopefully, it will show some of the sparkle from the Timbrillo Paste that was mixed with the Chalk Colors.

Happy Holidays

One of the Make & Take cards I made at the Taylored Expressions Stamp Joy 2017 Event is this beautiful ornament card.  As you can see, I didn't get my small ornament lined up with its string but just image the string is a wee bit bent behind that big ornament and comes out fine at the end.  I know, I know! 

Anyway, I wanted to share this card with you and enter it in a new challenge to me, Merry Monday Christmas Challenge.  I love making Christmas cards throughout the year.  By the time they need to be sent, all I have to do is address envelopes and put a short note in each card.  It has eliminated the stress of sending those cards.

Stamp Joy 2017 Kickoff Party!

Today was the start of Taylored Expressions Stamp Joy 2017.  I took a class  this afternoon called Fall Shine that was taught by Lori Craig and was it ever a fun class!  We made four cards using different products that "shined" things up a bit.  I will share those with you in the coming days.

For now, I'm want to share with you the card we made at tonight's kickoff party.  We used the Stitched Stems Stamp & Die Combo that we received free for attending the event.  I have to say I love this set and I'm sure you are going to see more of it in my future designs.

The two small flowers were stamped directly on the layer but the larger one was cut out using the die that comes in the combo.  What I love is that the large flower, the small flower and that cute butterfly all have a die to match.

Here's a picture of the stamp set and the dies.  That butterfly is so cute and I can't wait to use it.

Now I'm off to make it an early night as tomorrow is another day of crafting and fun.  If you ever get the chance to attend her Stamp Joy annual event, you are going to have so much fun.
