More Petal Potpourri

Oh my!  I have totally fallen in love with the Petal Potpourri flowers.  Today I combined it with the the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and the colors from Colour Me...!  Talk about a bright, cheerful Springlike card.  I'm definitely thinking Spring given the fact that come tomorrow, I'll be under a Winter Storm Watch which I'm sure is going to change to a Winter Storm Warning.  They've already told us to expect 5+ inches of snow.  I just knew Winter couldn't just leave us alone here in Iowa.  You know, I can't complain since the last two weeks have been in the high 40s and 50s.  So, here is that pretty Spring card I made this morning.

For the center of the flower, I was going to use some Crystal Effects but I remembered I had these cute little epoxy stickers from Stampin' Up!®  You can find them in the 2015 Occasions Catalog on page 28.  Now that I've "re-discovered" the Itty Bitty Accents Epoxy Stickers and love them, it's time to order more.

Stamp Sets:  Banner Blessings, Petal Potpourri; Inks:  Rich Razzleberry, Tangelo Twist; Card Stock:  Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper Stack, All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools:  Flower Medallion Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, Itty Bitty Accents Epoxy Sticker, SNAIL Adhesive, Dimensionals, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine

Here is the sketch I used from Freshly Made Sketches.

The Friday Mashup! 191

It's a sparkly snowflake covered world I live in today.  Yesterday we had a nice little snow storm come through that left nearly seven inches of snow behind.  With the wind, it's sending sparkly snowflakes through the air and making for a very pretty view out of my craft studio window.  I guess that makes up for the bitter cold that arrived after the snow.

The snow fit perfectly with the current Friday Mashup! challenge.  It's a project with a winter theme or a project with a few snowflakes or a Mash It Up! with a winter project with snowflakes.  I don't think it gets much more wintery than a fresh blanket of snow on the ground.  The sentiment is a little hard to read in the photo since it's stamped with Soft Sky but up close and personal, it's really pretty.

Stamp Set:  Beauty of the Season; Ink:  Soft Sky; Card Stock:  Soft Sky, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools:  Snowflurries Embossing Folder (Tim Holtz), Decorative Label Punch, Gelly Roll Glitter Pen, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 240

It's been a while since I've played along with the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.  With the holidays fast approaching, I decided to do a Thanksgiving card but a rather none traditional one.  Usually you think of Autumn colors for this time of year but I decided to go for a cooler look as in the weather has been cold where I live.  Rainy, windy and just plain gloomy.  I'm so not ready for Winter!

Stamp Set:  For All Things; Inks:  Lost Lagoon, Soft Sky; Card Stock:  All Is Calm Specialty Designer Series Paper, Crumb Cake, Lost Lagoon, Soft Sky; Accessories & Tools:  Circles Collection Framelits, Frosted Sequins, Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive, Sticky Strip, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin' Trimmer, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine

You can find the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge sketch HERE, if you'd like to play along.
