Silhouette of a Tree

Black and white and a splash of color.  That's the color challenge over at The Male Room Challenge. What a perfect time for a silhouette.  As you can see I've not added a sentiment to the card.  I'm not sure I'm going to do so as it is one of those cards headed for my note card stash and those don't always require a sentiment.

To start, I took a layer of Whisper White cardstock and brushed some Perfect Plum ink across it using my Clarity Stencil Brushes.  I did leave a few hints of white as it's one of the color requirements and there is a layer of Whisper White cardstock on the inside of the card.  Then, using the Rendezvous stamp from Penny Black, I stamped the tree over the top of it using Archival Basic Black ink and attached the layer to a base of Basic Black cardstock.  And that, as they say, is that.  A simple design but I think a pretty one.  Don't you agree?

The inspiration for my card came from The Male Room Challenge.  For all the challenge details and to share your project, click the image below.

  2. This is lovely. I think the softly coloured sky and that wonderful tree silhouette makes for a super guy card. Thanks so much for playing in our Colour challenge at The Male Room. Deborah, DT.
