AECP - Beyond Background Basics

Today finds me working on my Altenew Educator Certification Program.  Hopefully, I can now really focus on the remaining classes and get them done.  It's been a longer process than I had expected but that's what you get when you move twice in one year.  Life is good!

For this one I tried a foiling technique using bonding powder and the heat tool.  While I do have a laminator that works well for foiling, this is one of the lessons in the Beyond Basics Background class and it looked like a fun one to try.  For my first attempt, it's not so bad.

Please forgive the quality of the photos.  I'm, once again, hunting for a new light tent for taking photos.  The one I have is just too small and I can't set it up the way I like.  If you have any suggestions, let me know.

The stamp set I used is the Leaf Canopy from Altenew.  I love this set and can't wait to use it again.  It has matching dies, too.  The sentiment is stamped from the Simple Strips Birthday from Taylored Expressions and die-cut with the matching die.  I stamped it using Jet Black ink from Altenew.

The red foil strips on the edge of the card was done using Sticky Strip and simply pressing the foil onto it.  It's a nice way to had a bit of foil to any project.

Thanks for stopping by,

Marsha

    1. Thanks, Erum! It was a fun way to add color using the foil.
