AECP - In the Mood for Color

Today I'm sharing a card made for my first lesson in the class In the Mood for Color.  It was a fun card to put together and, as you can see, focuses on the color blue.

The water drops are from the Water Droplets stamp set by Designs by Ryn and embossed with silver embossing powder.  After embossing, I blended Caribbean ink by Altenew over the the white cardstock.  You can see just a hit of purple in the mix as I didn't get the brush I used completely clear of the red.  I simply grabbed the wrong brush but I like the subtle effect it gave.  I also sponged some Night of Navy under the sentiments to make them stand out more.

The sentiments are from the Painted Encouragement stamp set by Altenew.  I stamped them using Night of Navy ink, attached the white cardstock to some Night of Navy cardstock, fussy cut around them then, attached them to the card front.  For the finishing touch, I added a few clear rain drops.

Stamp Set(s):  Water Droplets (Designs by Ryn); Painted Encouragement (Altenew)
Ink(s):  Caribbean Sky, (Altenew); Night of Navy (Stampin' Up!)
Cardstock:  Night of Navy, Whisper White (Stampin' Up!)
Dies:  Wavy Rectangles Dies (Unknown)
Other:  Silver Embossing Powder (Stampin' Up!); Clear Rain Drops (Studio Katia)

Now I'm on to Lesson 2 and will have that card to share with you in a day or so.  I'm determined to make up time for not being able to work on my classes as I would have liked.

Thanks for stopping by,

Marsha
