Bloomin' Marvelous Secret Garden
What a day! I didn't think I'd have a chance to do any crafting today but needed a break. When Aiden took his nap, I sat down at the craft table and this is what I came up with. I love the Secret Garden Bundle! I even got out the Large Paper Doily Sizzlits Die and used it for the first time in months.
Stamp Sets: Secret Garden, Bloomin' Marvelous; Inks: Midnight Muse, Stampin' Write Marker/Summer Starfruit; Card Stock: Midnight Muse, Very Vanilla, Gumball Green, Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack; Accessories & Tools: Large Paper Doily Sizzlits Die, Secret Garden Framelits, Pearl Basic Jewels, Anywhere Glue Stick, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimenstionals, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine
We have had no sunshine here today so the photo was done in artificial light and didn't turn out the best. It does not do the card justice. The Midnight Muse card looks black.
The sentiment is from the Bloomin' Marvelous Stamp Set. It's one of the Sale-A-Bration sets you can get free when you place a $50 order. I love it. Over the coming days, I'll show you more cards made using some of the other stamps that come in the set. Contact me today to get yours.

Circle Bright Mania
Here is another card I designed using up more of the pretty little pieces of card stock. I stayed with the Melon Mambo theme and added some Brights circles. Can you tell I was feeling all bright and sparkly today? You could use this either as a 'get well' card or a 'cheer up' kind of card to brighten someone's day.
Stamp Set(s): Word Play; Ink(s): Melon Mambo; Card Stock: Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools: Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Labels Collection Framelits, 3/4" Circle Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Anywhere Glue Stick, Stampin' Dimensionals
Now it's time to start working on my gifts for an upcoming Customer Appreciation Event I'm hosting next month. If you would like more information, click on the Stamping Cafe Events tab at the top of this page.

Petite Purse Nic Style
Yesterday, my five year old grandson, Nic, spent the morning with me. When he saw the Petite Purse I had made, he asked if he could make one. Of course, I said yes. He picked out the card stock he wanted to use, then I showed him how to build his 'sandwich' for the Big Shot. You should have seen his eyes light up when he cranked that handle and it did all the work of cutting out the purse for him. He had fun punching out the circles and liked to watch them fly through the air. He is such a character! So, without further comment, here is the Petite Purse Nicholas Chance Reed made for his Ben 10 alien parts.
Card Stock: Pacific Point Brights Patterns Designer Series Paper, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Wisteris Wonder, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight; Accessories & Tools: 1/2" Circle Punch, Itty Bitty Punch Pack Flower, Jewels Basic Rhinestone (colored with permanent marker), Mini Glue Dots
He had so much fun that he has decided that he needs to spend the night with Grandma on Sunday. I have a feeling I know just what he is going want to do besides order pizza!

Embossed Easter Dove
Last night I was playing with the Labels Collection Framelits Dies just to see what different combinations I could come up with. I made three different cards that I will share with you over the next few days. None of them took a lot of time to make and a couple of them will be perfect for Make & Takes at future events I have scheduled.
Stamp Set: Easter Dove; Ink: None used; Card Stock: Basic Black, Naturals White, Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper; Accessories & Tools: Labels Collection Framelits Dies, VersaMark, Black Emboss Powder, Dazzling Details, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, heavy duty aluminum foil
This card was definitely a if I do this, what will it look like. I took a piece of Naturals White and glued the foil to it, then ran it through the Big Shot using one of the Labels Collections Dies. Because of the foil, the picture did not turn out very well and you can't see the Dazzling Details I used to frame the foil label. I think I'll remake this one but without foil. I like the simple design but I think it would look better without the foil.
Until we meet again...

Fresh Vintage Love
This morning I woke up to a rather unpleasant surprise. My furnace is only blowing out cold air. It won't be fixed until tomorrow so I'm just keeping busy and utilizing my oven for heat. I'm taking a bit of a break from baking before I make a batch of cookies.
Today's card is another Valentine card. I have a few to make to send to family and friends plus I have two swaps happening this week. Oh, and a class being held at the Crafters Gift Boutique where I have a display. It's going to be another busy week.
Stamp Sets: Fresh Vintage, Three Little Words; Inks: Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder; Card Stock: Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools: Big Shot, Hearts Collection Framelits, Adorning Accents Edgelits Die, Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
Clean and simple. The new In Colors and the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog are a perfect match.

Valentine's Day Is Not Far Away
So, I've been wearing out my Hearts Collection Framelits. This is the second card I made the other day. I'm really liking the new Framelits. I don't have a lot of time this evening so I'm just going to show you the card and go do what I need to do.
Stamp Set: Take It To Heart; Ink: Real Red; Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Red Glimmer Paper; Accessories: Big Shot, Decorative Label Punch, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, Jewels Basic Rhinestones, Stamping Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals
If you'd like to know how you can become a demonstrator and start your own business, give me a call. I would love to share the opportunity with you. You can also find out more by clicking on the Join My Team tab at the top of the page.

Happy Anniversary Sparkle
It was fun to finally get a chance to be creative. It's been a busy time since Thanksgiving and I feel like I've just caught my first deep breath! I made three cards Friday afternoon using one sheet of Blushing Bride card stock and, over the weekend, I'll show you how I used it.
I love Stampin' Up!® Glimmer paper! It shimmers and sparkles and grabs the eye. When asked to design an anniversary card, I knew I wanted to use it to add some glitz to the card. On the inside of the card in Regal Rose, I stamped the sentiment, "You're in my thoughts; You're in my heart," from the Word Play stamp set.
Stamp Sets: You Are Loved, Language of Friendship, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Word Play; Inks: Crumb Cake, Regal Rose, Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker; Card Stock: Blushing Bride, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper; Accessories: Dotted Scalloped Ribbon Border Punch, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Bird Builder Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Jewels Basic Pearls, Stampin' Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive
If you would like free instructions for making the Dotted Scalloped Ribbon Border square, e-mail me at the address above and I'll send it right out to you.

Holiday Stocking
Today was spent exploring options for an upcoming Workshop I have on Tuesday. My Hostess wants a Christmas card as our make and take. I'm wanted to use the new dies but just wasn't sure in what manner. I decided to use the Holiday Stocking Die and place the card stock in such a way as to have a fold along the left so it actually forms a card. You could use it as a card or a large tag on a gift bag. I used the Peekaboo Die to made a window in which to hide the sentiment. I love that Glimmer Paper, both the Silver and the Red.
The first photo shows the window up close. The second is of the card itself. I'm thinking I need a new camera because my photos of late have not been as good as when I first purchased the camera. The colors are just not right but at least you'll get the idea. Looks like a shopping expedition is in my future.
Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes; Ink: Cherry Cobbler; Card Stock: Pool Party, Silver Glimmer Paper, Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper (retired); Accessories: Big Shot, Bigz L Holiday Stocking Die, Bigz L Peekaboo Frames Die
There is still time to get your own Big Shot. Become a Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator by November 11th and you get one FREE! For details, click here.

Precious Butterflies
We have been experiencing our Indian Summer here in Iowa and the butterflies have been flitting past my living room window in recent days. They made me think of a new Hostess stamp set I've been wanting to use. My time to create was limited today so I thought a clean and simple design would be perfect for Precious Butterflies.
Stamp Set: Precious Butterflies; Inks: River Rock, Concord Crush; Card Stock: River Rock, Concord Crush, Whisper White; Accessories: Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Jewels Basic Rhinestones ( six colored with permanent marker), Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die
I stamped the images and sentiment on the oval before I ran it though the Big Shot using the Stripes Embossing Folder.
If you'd like to know how you can receive the beautiful Precious Butterflies Stamp Set, e-mail me for details.

Special Cards for Special Girls
Today I had planned to show another card designed using the new Christmas Lodge Stamp Set from the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog. My plans for the day changed and I didn't have time to make another card. Instead I got to spend a great day with my best friend just simply spending time together. It is time I so treasure.
What I am sharing tonight are the cards I made for my sweet little girls who I sponsor at Cien Fuego Children's Center in the Dominican Republic. They are two very special little ladies!
Jahely will be seven next month so her's was definitely a birthday card. Bright, cheerful just like her adorable smile.
Sulennes' is just to let her know I am thinking of her. She has a gorgeous smile and her eyes just sparkle.
The majority of the cards are from retired product but I wanted to share these with you anyway. I know the girls love getting mail.
Be watching over the next weeks to come. Many new things are on the horizon that I will be sharing with you, even a contest or two.

Christmas Lodge Tree
Finally, I had a chance to play with some of my new Holiday Mini products. What I find so interesting about all of this, is usually I'm the last one to even begin to think of Christmas until after Thanksgiving. With all the fantastic new products, Christmas has grabbed hold and we're off and running. Yes, I will tone it down the closer we get to Thanksgiving. I do have several Thanksgiving projects in the design sketch stage that I will share with you later.
In the meantime let me introduce you to one of my favorite sets from the Holiday Mini, the Christmas Lodge Stamp Set. This is just one of six stamps in the set. I have a thing for trees so when I saw this one, I just knew we were going to become close friends. While this is a pine tree, my favorite tree is the oak. Tall, majestic and beautiful, they are a study in the sturdiness of God. There is no other way to describe them. The Lovely As A Tree Set has a fantastic oak tree stamp.
Stamp Set: Christmas Lodge; Inks: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler; Card Stock: Early Espresso, Whisper White; Accessories: Cherry Cobbler Emboss Powder, 3/8" Early Espresso Quilted Satin Ribbon, Big Shot, Top Note Die, Sponge Dauber, SNAIL Adhesive, Mini Glue Dots
Tomorrow's card will feature another stamp from the Christmas Lodge Set. And, be sure to place your Summer Mini order soon. Next Wednesday is the last day you can order from that Catalog.

Calypso Coral Thank You
Everything is ready and while I have a wee bit of extra time, here is another card that was designed for today's Come & Go Card Buffet. Eight designs are available and each day, I'll share one of those designs with you.
It's time to get to work. If you'd like to know more about what I do and how you can do it, too, you can get the details here.

I love the new In Colors. They are bright, sunny and warm. For this card I combined Not Quite Navy and River Rock with Calypso Coral. These colors really work well together. I ran the Calypso Coral layer through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder to give it some texture.
Stamp Set: Easy Events; Ink: Night of Navy, Calypso Coral Stampin' Write Marker, Certainly Celery Stampin' Write Marker; Card Stock: Not Quite Navy, River Rock, Calypso Coral, Whisper White; Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, Decorative Label Punch, 1-1/4" Not Quite Navy Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Big Shot, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Stampin' Dimensionals

Open House
What a fantastic day! The Open House was so much fun and I'd like to share some of the photos with you. The first picture shows the centerpiece on the table where we put our make 'n takes together. The basket holds four Idea Book & Catalogs with a Wish List and Order Form in each, the Summer Mini Catalog, Booking Certificates and pens. Everything you need all in one place.
Centerpiece
The box on the right holds the door prize that can be won. It holds a Classic Stamp Pad, a single Stamp, four 3x3 cards with envelopes and one example of what the card will look like when they complete it. I kept it simple so the only thing that needs done is to add the sentiment.
Stamp Set: Elegant Thank You; Ink: Pacific Point; Card Stock: Pool Party; Whisper White; Accessories: Beautiful Wings Embosslit
This next photo is the display. Stationary tins, Candy boxes, a Coaster set, Note Pads and more. Simply colorful.
Everyone who stopped by, was given a FREE Gift. The Post-It Note Holder can sit on your desk or hang on the wall.
Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes; Ink: Melon Mambo: Card Stock: Textured Rich Razzleberry, Ice Cream Parlor (retired), Whisper White; Accessories: Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch, Postage Stamp Punch, Jewels Basic Rhinestones, Stampin' Dimensionals, permanent markers
And there you have it. All the fun and a beautiful day. It doesn't get any better than that.
Leave me a comment and let me know you stopped by. I love hearing from you.

It Is Done!
Tomorrow is the last day I have to get everything ready for Farmer's Market Jubilee. The Crafters Gift Boutique is right in the middle of all the excitement. Every Saturday since the opening of the Farmer's Market, those of us who have a booth at the Boutique have been encouraged to set up a table displaying our craft. We set up on the lawn in front of the store and it is fun to visit with those who come along to check things out.
I spent my evening completing one of the new products I want to show off on Saturday. I like the way it came together. The four piece coaster set features four sets of inserts. There are four inserts for each season so you can change them out as the seasons change.
Stamp Set: A Flower for All Seasons; Ink: StazOn Black, Real Red, Stampin' Write Markers in Pretty In Pink, Melon Mambo, Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Old Olive, Cajun Craze, Soft Suede, Wild Wasabi, Island Indigo, Pool Party; Card Stock: Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, Cherry Cobbler; Accessories: Scallop Rectangle Clearlits Die, Big Shot, Fancy Fan Letterpress
Here is one of the finished inserts. The coaster is a glass tile that is tinted a very light pastel green. It looks well with all the colors used for the tiles.
Now it's time to clean up and get some rest. Tomorrow, well actually, today is going to be another busy one. I love staying busy and Stampin' Up!® has given me the opportunity to be creative and to share it with others. You could do the same. Now is the time and the $99 Starter Kit is only available for a few more days. If you would like more information, leave me a comment or e-mail me at marshastamps@gmail.com.

Pinwheel Fun
Driving down the street the other day, I saw one of those yard pinwheels vigorously spinning in the wind. It reminded me of the pinwheels I used to play with as a child. I got to thinking about how one would look on a card. This card is a very clean and simple one and made up in no time. The pinwheel is made from a 3x3 square of card stock that is cut from each corner to within a half inch of the center of the square. Then, you fold the corners up to form the wheel and that's all there is to it. Pinwheels are still fun to play with.
