Pause Dream Enjoy Challenge #187 - Get Well

Today I'm pleased to share that I'm a Guest Designer for the Pause Dream Enjoy Challenge.  The theme for the challenge is get well.  Using my Clarity Stencil Brushes, I created the background on the card base.  Then, stamped the Leafy Branch image from Designs By Ryn and the sentiment from Fancy Phrases by Waltzing Mouse in Mossy Meadow and Wild Wasabi.  A clean and simple one layer card.

Stamp Sets:  Fancy Phrases - sentiment (Waltzing Mouse), Leafy Branch (Designs by Ryn); Inks:  Mossy Meadow, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi (all Stampin' Up!); Cardstock:  Whisper White (Stampin' Up!); Other:  Clarity Stencil Brushes

The theme is from the Pause Dream Enjoy Challenge.  For all the challenge details and to share your project, click the image below.

The Friday Mashup Challenge #206

Well, today is my last time as a Guest Designer for The Friday Mashup!  I have so enjoyed being a part of their team.  Be sure to come join us for this week's challenge.  It's all about umbrellas and polka dots.  You can do either umbrellas or polka dots or you can "mash" it up and do both.  As you can see I did both with a polka dot umbrella.  I took a piece of the Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper and sponged it with Soft Sky ink to make the polka dots pop.  It's all mounted on a piece of paper from the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack.  It looked like raindrops to me so I though it would be a great background for the umbrella.

Stamp Set:  Sincere Salutations (retired); Inks:  Night of Navy, Soft Sky; Card Stock:  Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper (retired), Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack, Lost Lagoon, Night of Navy, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools:  Scallop Oval Punch, Extra-Large Oval Punch, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, SNAIL Adhesive, Blending Tool, Paper Snips, Stampin' Trimmer

All of the challenge details can be found at The Friday Mashup Challenge.

Pretty Little Red Bird

Just have time for another quick post.  I'm busy making up 35 swap cards all of which need to be done by Wednesday.  Oh, and don't forget the Watercooler Blog Hop on Thursday with three projects.  Would you say I'm spending a lot of time in my craft studio?  I am so thankful the sunshine is streaming through my window.

Today's card was made using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and the colors from C.A.S. Colours & Sketches Challenge.  It's a new challenge for me but I love the colors they featured.

Stamp Sets:  Hardwood, Punch Potpourri (retired), Teeny Tiny Wishes; Inks:  Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake; Card Stock:  Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake; Accessories & Tools:  Bird Builder Punch, Circle Framelits Dies, Modern Label Punch, Onyx Pearl Liquid Pearls (Ranger), Pearl Basic Jewels (colored with a black sharpie), Glue Dots, SNAIL Adhesive, Dimensionals
All Stampin' Up!® product unless otherwise noted.

Here is the sketch I used from Freshly Made Sketches.

Get Well Soon

Don't you think that a get well card should be bright and cheerful?  I do and the bright colors in the current Color Throwdown Challenge were perfect for my card. I love the Melon Mambo together with the silvery glitz.  I took my Lucky Limeade Stampin' Write Marker and filled in some of the lines after I embossed the silver paper with the Arrows Embossing Folder.  It gave it a bit of a metallic look since I thought the sparkle of the glitter paper was just not metal enough.  All in all, the challenge from The Friday Mashup Challenge gave me the sketch and the sentiment for the card.  You could use the sketch, make a get well card or mash it up by using both.

Stamp Sets:  Delightful Dozen, Work of Art (Stampin' Up!); Ink:  Melon Mambo; Stampin' Write Marker:  Lucky Limeade (Stampin' Up!); Card Stock:  Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack - retired (Stampin' Up!), Glitzy Glitter Paper Stack (DCWV); Accessories & Tools:  Arrows Embossing Folder, Chalk Talk Framelits, Beautiful Wings Embosslit (Stampin' Up!), Distress Stickles (Ranger), Dimensionals

Circle Bright Mania

Here is another card I designed using up more of the pretty little pieces of card stock.  I stayed with the Melon Mambo theme and added some Brights circles.  Can you tell I was feeling all bright and sparkly today?  You could use this either as a 'get well' card or a 'cheer up' kind of card to brighten someone's day.

Stamp Set(s):  Word Play; Ink(s):  Melon Mambo; Card Stock:  Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools:  Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Labels Collection Framelits, 3/4" Circle Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Anywhere Glue Stick, Stampin' Dimensionals

Now it's time to start working on my gifts for an upcoming Customer Appreciation Event I'm hosting next month.  If you would like more information, click on the Stamping Cafe Events tab at the top of this page.
