It's no secret that I love trees. When I saw the challenge for The Friday Mashup, I knew exactly what I wanted to create. One of my all time favorite Stampin' Up!® stamp sets is Lovely As a Tree. It is one of the first sets I ever purchased and remains at the top of my go list to this day. For today's card, I used one color, Soft Suede. I really like the way it turned out. Clean and simple with a touch of gold.
Stamp Sets: Lovely As a Tree, Teeny Tiny Wishes (Stampin' Up!); Ink: Soft Suede (Stampin' Up!); Card Stock: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla (Stampin' Up!); Accessories & Tools: Gold Sequin Trim (Stampin' Up!), Birch Trees Embossing Folder (Tim Holtz), Dimensionals
Trees, dry or heat embossing or both. it's all up to you. You can find out more about The Friday Mashup Challenge HERE.

Thinking of You Grunge Style
Ever have one of those sketches reach out and grab you? Well, that's what happened when I saw the current sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch. It was a perfect way to use my Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set. I decided to use white on white and let the colors show off. I think Pacific Point and Rich Razzleberry are a match made in heaven. I love how they work well together.
Stamp Sets: Gorgeous Grunge, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Inks: Pacific Point, Rich Razzleberry; Card Stock: Basic White; Accessories & Tools: Stampin' Dimensionals
Now I'm off to finish up my projects for an upcoming blog hop. Mark your calendars and be sure to come back on Thursday, April 10 at 8:00 p.m. CDT to tour the current Wacky Watercooler April Blog Hop! You are sure to be inspired.

3x3 Birthday For Him
One of the type of cards I like to make are 3x3. They make a nice tag for a gift bag or present. Right now I'm working on a set of all occasion ones and today's is a birthday card for him. I got the idea from my December Stampin' Success Demonstrator Magazine. I made several changes so it is not an exact duplicate.
Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes; Ink: Soft Suede; Card Stock: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Well Worn Designer Series Paper, Neutrals Patterns Designer Series Paper Stacks; Accessories & Tools: Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, Brights Brads Pumpkin Pie, Neutrals Brads Early Espresso, Stampin' Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive
There will be a total of eight cards, all for a different occasion and they'll come in their very own little box. Once I have them all done, I'll show you the set. It may take a while since I'm working on an upcoming class and that definitely takes priority. I only have a 100 cards to prepare!
And, if you have any questions, just contact me and I'll be happy to find the answer for you.

Green Garden Razzleberry Birthday
And, here is the last of the three. I was, again, browsing through some of my Stampin' Success demonstrator magazines and came across a layout for a card that I really liked. I made a few changes and here is the finished card.
Stamp Sets: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Itty Bitty Bits, Take It To Heart, Because I Care (retired); Ink: Rich Razzleberry; Card Stock: Garden Green, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Brights Designer Series Paper Rich Razzleberry, Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper, Twitterpated Designer Series Paper; Accessories & Tools: Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Labels Collection Framelits Dies, Antique Brad
Wouldn't this make a great card for a guy? Simple, sleek and very little frill. You could also change the sentiment and use it for a Father's Day card or a thinking of you card. It's fun to be able to use one card design for multiple occasions.
Until we meet again...

Valentine Treat Box
Yes, I'm still making Valentine cards and gifts. These are for my grandsons Zac and Nic to share with classmates on Valentine's Day. They are quick and easy to make and the boys thought they would be just great.
Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes; Ink: Riding Hood Red; Card Stock: Riding Hood Red, Melon Mambo, Melon Mambo, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools: Full Heart Punch, Mini Glue Dots, brads
And, there you have the last of my Valentine projects. Now I'm ready to move on. I have a new stamp I've not had a chance to use and it is going to make some beautiful Easter cards. Stay tuned for future developments!

Just For You Valentine
And, here we have our final card made in class. Because of the time limit, I had the cutouts done ahead of time but they did all of the punching. I took the dies along to show them how each image was made. Each guest left with my schedule and know that they are welcome at the Stamping Cafe to use the product for themselves. I'm looking forward to having them stop by and using some of the product I wasn't able to take with me.
Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes; Ink: Wisteria Wonder; Card Stock: Wisteria Wonder, Very Vanilla, Lucky Limeade, Cherry Cobbler, Pink Pirouette; Accessories & Tools: Little Leaves Sizzlets Die, Hearts Collection Framelits Dies, Jewels Basic Pearl, Big Shot
Some made it a Valentine card, some made it a birthday card and some made it a Mother's Day card. I think this was my favorite one of all of them. The inspiration came from a design I saw while browsing and knew the class would appreciate it, too. I don't remember where I saw it but I do thank the person who inspired it.

Packed For Mom
The Packed For Mom Stamp Set is one I received free for participating in our Worldwide Book-A-Thon. It has a lot of elements to it and I decided to watercolor only a few of them. It was a fun card to make.
The background was done using Glossy White Card Stock and waxed paper. It's called the wax paper resist technique. I like the image it produced and will certainly use the technique again. I'm also going to teach it in my February Techniques Thursday class.
Stamp Sets: Packed For Mom, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Inks: Marina Mist, Black StazOn, Real Red, Crumb Cake; Stampin' Write Markers in Soft Suede, Marina Mist, Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Daffodil Delight; Card Stock: Bashful Blue, Watercolor Paper, Glossy White, Love Patterns Designer Series Paper; Accessories: 5/8" Whisper White Organza Ribbon colored with Crumb Cake Ink using a Brayer, Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, waxed paper, Stampin' Dimensionals, jewels Basic Rhinestones
Packed For Mom is found on page 39 of the Occasions Mini Catalog. It can be bought separately or as part of the Packed for Everything Stamp Bundle.

Mixed Bunch Butterfly
After making a card using the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set and having punched an extra flower, I just had to try my hand at making a butterfly from the Mixed Bunch flower. I got the idea after seeing the one shown on page 16 of the new Occasions Mini Catalog. The whole card was made using up leftover card stock and ribbon. The solid flowers were made using the punched out card stock as a stencil.
Stamp Sets: Mixed Bunch, Four Frames, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Inks: Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party; Card Stock: Rich Razzleberry, Very Vanilla, Pool Party; Accessories: 1/2" Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon, Blossom Punch, Crystal Effects, Stamping Sponge, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals
Now it's time to concentrate on finishing up my Christmas gifts for my family. I always seem to leave them until the last minute.

A Successful Workshop!
We had such fun at tonight's Workshop! We made a card that I had designed last week and it was a big hit. They loved learning how to emboss. The tree from the Christmas Lodge stamp set is perfect for embossing. The Pewter Emboss Powder and the Silver Glimmer Paper make this card so sparkly and shimmery. Although I shared this with you all last week, I'm going to post it again as I've not designed a new one today. With getting ready for tonight, I just simply ran out of time.
Stamp Sets: Christmas Lodge, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Ink: Cherry Cobbler; Card Stock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper; Accessories: Pewter Emboss Powder, Modern Label Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Heat Tool
It's late and I have such a busy day tomorrow that I'm going to keep this post short. I'll fill you in on all the happens tomorrow.

Christmas in Black, White And Silver
It's been such a busy week and this is only Tuesday. I've not had a lot of time to create in the last few days so tonight I decided to make a quick and easy card. I wanted to do something different so I chose black, white and silver. I've never done a Christmas card with this combination. Who would think that black and white would work. I love the Christmas Lodge tree. It is perfect for embossing. I added just a touch of color when stamping the sentiment.

That's it for today. Watch for tomorrow's post as I have plenty of good news to share.

Always Thankful
I love Autumn. It is my most favorite time of the year. Leaves are changing, crops are harvested and the evenings have just a touch of crispness to them. And, it won't be long before the holidays will be in full swing. Personally, I can't wait.
Maybe that's why most of my designs of late have been reflections of the upcoming holidays. Today's card is a perfect example of a fall harvest. Pumpkins and squash and corn from the garden, all destined to be part of a Thanksgiving dinner.
Stamp Sets: Always Thankful, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Inks: Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, River Rock, Basic Gray; Stampin Write Markers: Old Olive, So Saffron, Perfect Plum, Daffodil Delight; Card Stock: Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede, Watercolor Paper; Accessories: Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Blender Pen, Sponge Dauber, Dazzling Details, Stampin' Dimensionals
On the inside of the card, the two sentiments from the Always Thankful Stamp Set were stamped in VersaMark, then embossed using Clear Emboss Powder.
Don't forget to sign up for the Christmas Card Class to be held Monday, October 17 and the Card Buffet on Thursday, October 27. Check the Events tab for a complete schedule of what's brewing at the Stamping Cafe.

Saturday Morning Errands
Saturday has always been reserved for errands. I don't remember when that started but I'm sure it had to do with the fact that I could leave my boys home with their dad and have a few hours of freedom. They would rather have the fun of running and playing than being confined to a car and restricted to their best behavior while out in public. And, they got to help Dad do whatever guy things he had planned for the day.
The card I'm sharing this morning, before I run those errands, is a tribute to my three sons. It is also one I designed for our current llama blog hop. Christmas has always been celebrated with great joy in my family. Celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus, is the focal point but anticipating a visit from Santa was high on the list for my boys. They would hang their stockings, head to bed and be awake for hours too excited to settle down and sleep. Eventually, it would quiet down and Santa would make his appearance. Such fun and happiness. I loved it and I miss those days now that the boys are grown with families of their own.
When I first saw the Holiday Mini Catalog and the Stitched Stockings Stamp Set and the Stocking Builder Punch, I knew I had to have them. Now, I usually don't get excited about Christmas until after Thanksgiving, but this year Stampin' Up!® has too many fun Christmas products for me to wait that long. So, here is the card I made in remembrance of the three stockings that hung in my home when the boys were small.
Stamp Sets: Stitched Stockings, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Inks: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Early Espresso; Card Stock: Pool Party, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Frostwood Lodge Designer Series Paper; Accessories: Stocking Builder Punch, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, White Baker's Twine, Basic Jewels Rhinestones, Dazzling Details, 3/8" Cherry Cobbler Quilted Satin Ribbon, Early Espresso Neutrals Brads, Stampin' Dimensionals
Okay, now that I have Christmas somewhat out of my system, I'm turning my focus to Thanksgiving. I have so very much for which to be thankful.
How about you? What makes you thankful? Leave a comment and let me know. I would love to hear from you.

Cajun Craze Birthday
This is one of those cards that, once started, just took on a life of its own. I had no idea where I was going or what I wanted to do once I committed ink to paper. In the end, I really liked how this turned out. It's another of the cards designed for the Come & Go Card Buffet.
Stamp Sets: Paisley Petals, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Ink: Cajun Craze; Card Stock: Cajun Craze, Whisper White, Not Quite Navy; Accessories: Curly Label Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Dazzling Details (from the Holiday Mini), sponge dauber
Well, it's late and I have a fantastically busy day lined up for tomorrow. The best part of tomorrow, is I get my car fixed. The poor little thing has been sick for a while and he is now over at Dr. Mike's waiting for a new compressor transplant. I am so thankful that my son has the ability to fix my car. It's such a blessing to have three mighty fine sons, each with their own talents and abilities.

Thinking of You
It was a fun day spent with three of my twelve grandchildren. They are so full of energy and keep this grandmother on her toes! With little ones underfoot, I made cookies instead of cards today. And, of course, they loved that because they got to help.
Today's card is another earlier design and a simple study in blue and vanilla, one of my favorite combinations. The Framed Tulips Embossing Folder made the perfect border. Clean and simple, I love how this all came together.

Open House
What a fantastic day! The Open House was so much fun and I'd like to share some of the photos with you. The first picture shows the centerpiece on the table where we put our make 'n takes together. The basket holds four Idea Book & Catalogs with a Wish List and Order Form in each, the Summer Mini Catalog, Booking Certificates and pens. Everything you need all in one place.
Centerpiece
The box on the right holds the door prize that can be won. It holds a Classic Stamp Pad, a single Stamp, four 3x3 cards with envelopes and one example of what the card will look like when they complete it. I kept it simple so the only thing that needs done is to add the sentiment.
Stamp Set: Elegant Thank You; Ink: Pacific Point; Card Stock: Pool Party; Whisper White; Accessories: Beautiful Wings Embosslit
This next photo is the display. Stationary tins, Candy boxes, a Coaster set, Note Pads and more. Simply colorful.
Everyone who stopped by, was given a FREE Gift. The Post-It Note Holder can sit on your desk or hang on the wall.
Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes; Ink: Melon Mambo: Card Stock: Textured Rich Razzleberry, Ice Cream Parlor (retired), Whisper White; Accessories: Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch, Postage Stamp Punch, Jewels Basic Rhinestones, Stampin' Dimensionals, permanent markers
And there you have it. All the fun and a beautiful day. It doesn't get any better than that.
Leave me a comment and let me know you stopped by. I love hearing from you.

The Chosen One
Well, my day has nearly come to an end. I'm finishing it up listening to Oldies streaming through my computer and by posting another card. This is the one my customer chose. She went with three different shades of blue. Not Quite Navy and Bashful Blue do look well together.
The inside took an interesting twist, though. Yes, it is somewhat unusual for a shower card but it was actually discussed when she first asked me to help her with a card. At that time I didn't have a motorcycle stamp so we had decided against it. I must thank my llama friend, Buffy, for totally pleasing my customer! :-) Apparently, the young woman and her young man both love motorcycles. The clear embossed sentiment on the Marina Mist was well liked, so we also embossed the motorcycle. The picture does not do it justice. It looks very cool. Without further comment, here is the final product.
