AECP - The Color Red

Over the next few days, I'm going to be sharing with you all the cards I've made for my Altenew Educator Certification Program Level 2 classes.  I've had a fun week learning more about color and different ways to use it.

Today's color was red so I combined Candied Apple Distress Oxide ink with Fired Brick Distress Oxide ink.  I used the Leaf Canopy stamp set from Altenew and this is the end result.

I stamped the solid leaf image onto Mixed Media Paper using Candied Apple distress oxide ink and spritzed it with water.  Then, once dry, I stamped the outline leaf image on the solid image using Fired Brick distress oxide ink.

Stamp(s):  Leaf Canopy (Altenew)
Distress Oxide Ink(s):  Candied Apple, Fired Brick
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Basic Black (Stampin' Up!); Mixed Media Paper (Strathmore)
Other:  Arctic White Ultra-Fine Embossing Powder; Clear Raindrops (Studio Katia)

For the sentiment, I white embossed it on black and added it to the center between the leaf branches.  For the finishing touch, I added some clear raindrops.

Thanks for stopping by,

Marsha

  1. Marsha, you just have to link one project per course or maximum three projects in one post per course. I noticed that you have linked another project in the gallery for "In the mood for color", please know that your course is marked as completed at our end.

Thank you for entering your work to the AECP assignment gallery. Well done!
