The Wacky Watercooler Welcome 2015 Blog Hop

Hello!  Welcome to our first blog hop of the new year.  We are, again, CASEing a past favorite project from a fellow Watercooler Hopper, a favorite from current products and just an "anything goes" favorite.  With the new Occasions Catalog and the new Sale-A-Bration Catalog, there were many favorites to choose from.

My first card is a CASE (Copy And Share Everything) for Marie Green's Secret Garden.  It was featured in the Occasions Catalog in 2013.  Although it has retired, it remains one of my favorites and one that I still use often.  I changed mine up some since I didn't have the stamp set she used for the sentiment and I used different flowers from the Secret Garden stamp set.  The sentiment on my card is from the Oh Hello stamp set that was also featured in the 2013 Occasions Catalog.

Stamp Sets:  Secret Garden (retired), Oh Hello (retired); Inks:  Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi; Blendabilities:  Coastal Cabana; Card Stock:  Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Whisper White; Accessories & Tools:  Honeycomb Embossing Folder, Top Note Bigz Die, Circles Collection Framelits Dies, Secret Garden Framelits Dies (retired), Elegant Butterfly Punch, Pearls Basic Jewels, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive

Here is the card that was made by Marie Green.  She does make some beautiful cards.  It was fun to browse through her blog to find one of her designs to CASE.

One of my current favorites from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog is the Lotus Blossom.  There is so much you can do with it but due to limited time and space, I just can't show you all the neat ideas I've seen using this stamp set.

Stamp Set:  Lotus Blossom; Inks:  Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder; Card Stock:  Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder, Very Vanilla; Accessories & Tools:  1/8" Silver Ribbon, Frosted Sequins (clearance), Glue Dots, Multipurpose Glue, SNAIL Adhesive, Dimensionals

For my "anything goes" project, I stayed with the Lotus Blossom stamp set but added a layer of one of the designs from the new Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper.  While working on my blog projects, I'm also making 24 swap cards for my local demo meeting this evening.  We chose which stamp set we were going to use either from the Occasions Catalog or from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog.  I chose the Lotus Blossom set for my swap cards.  Both of these are what they will get tonight.

Stamp Sets:  Lotus Blossom, Painted Petals (sentiment); Inks:  Garden Green, Rose Red, Tuxedo Black Memento; Card Stock:  Garden Green, Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi; Accessories & Tools:  Pearl Basic Jewels, Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive

Well, that's all there is from me.  Now it's time to go see what Kath Ricks has created to inspire you.  She always makes such lovely projects and is so talented.

  7. Thanks so much for being part of the Blog Hop, Marsha. Your projects are always such a pleasure to check out. That Lotus Blossom stamp set really is fun to use, isn't it, and the results are so gorgeous. I'm not sure if I like your Lilac one better or your pink. They both evoke such different moods. Your use of the Painted Blooms under the pink tips the scales for me, I think.
I can see why you CASEd that card of Marie's. Your card is beautiful. The flowers with the coloured pearls in the centre really put it over the top.

    1. Thanks, Kathe. I'm needing bright colors and pretty paper flowers in my life at the moment. I keep peeking out through the curtains to see how much snow has fallen. It's still coming down and should leave about 10-12 inches before it's done.
